Fantastically corrupt Niger Delta Governors trying to cover up for failure. The Niger Delta states have received the highest allocation since 1999 with nothing to show for it.
Niger Delta has received thrillions of naira from the 13% derivation and allocation to NDDC. And not one city in the Niger Delta can rival Abuja, travel to Warri,Benin City,Uyo,Yenogoa and you will shocked at the underdevelopment and massive poverty in those states.

Recently,Gambari and the presidential delegation had met with governors and leaders of the South-South geopolitical zone in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the South-South leaders including the Rivers State governor demanded the restructuring of the country in line with the principle of true federalism, saying it will guarantee peace, security and stability in the country.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to prove to Nigerians that he is ready to do the people’s requests.

The governor said the President will set the country ‘on fire’ by not implementing some of the requests voiced out by leaders during the recent discussions with the presidential delegation led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari.

Delta State government has ordered the implementation of the new minimum wage in the December salary.

The State Head of Service, Mr Reginald Bayoko who made the disclosure at Asaba during the 2019 Public Service Week, said “Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has given a marching order that the new minimum wage should be implemented in the December salary”

While revealing that 273 ghost workers have been identified in the state, he said the civil servants whose appointment were suspended in 2015 would soon receive letters of recall from the Civil Service Commission.

He said several cases of offenses amongst officers had been recorded in the service, adding that erring officers had been sanctioned.
