1. You have received COMMON ANSWER which is 10 + 10 = 20 . Let me give you another permutation that is 15 + 5 = 20.

2. Fill another DS 160 and pick Abuja as your new location , after that . Call the CGI as usual but IF YOU DO NOT HAVE CALL CARD OR YOUR PHONE GOT LOST or CGI HELP LINE IS NOT CONNECTING .....

3. Log into your CGI profile , click on Update profile , input your new DS 160 confirmation number in the appropriate place and click save . After 2 days (48hrs) . Log in back into your CGI profile and print out another visa appointment letter which will display your new DS 160.

4. Even , if you call the CGI helpline , they will still ask you to log into your CGI profile and print another visa appointment letter because your appointment letter MUST DISPLAY the confirmation number of the NEW DS 160 you are taking to the embassy .

Fill another ds-160 and input location as Abuja Nigeria so as to match with your Abuja appointment date on your CGI profile , call customer service to update your appointment profile with the new ds-160 confirmation number.
Since this issue has never come up on this thread to the best of my knowledge and on a lighter note you can try to attend the interview like that and feed us back on the outcome at least it’ll be a precedent

I am currently in the US, and just coming for restamping hence I booked Abuja not to waste too much time. Dates are available as 24 calendar days for my visa type in Lagos, however I cannot afford to help you test this last advice

Please I need some help with information regarding drop box.
I am currently in the US with my spouse on a L work visa, it is petition based so every 2 years I just have to restamp my visa for entry purposes. My stay validity is not dependent on visa, however if I exit with an expired visa I must restamp at a foreign consulate to reenter.
I am planning on coming to Nigeria for vacation this year and want to use the opportunity to restamp my visa before expiry(already confirmed this is possible). I am eligible for interview waiver and my appointment schedule time is just 1 day. So my questions are listed below.

1. How long does it currently take to get passports back from the day of submission? This is important so I can plan my time off and book accurate flight
2. Can I take my wife passport along and submit for family? That is, does all member of the family have to be present during submission for drop box?
3. Can submission happen in proxy? Lets say the processing wait time for drop box is too long and I decide to come in for a normal interview so I can get my passport back in time, can I apply for drop box on the side for my wife and submit her passport for her?

Great discussions so far. I don't know if this is the right place but here is my enquiry.

I am being transferred by my company to our USA office (L1 visa), i intend marrying my fiancee so she can join me(L2 visa).
We filled in at a Local government registry few days ago, however someone informed me that LGA weddings are not acceptable.

I have done some research and complained to the guys at the registry that it must be an authentic certificate and they showed me a sample with the Nigerian coat of arms stating "certificate of marriage" in green.

Big question is - Does the US embassy reject LGA issued marriage certificate?

Anyone with experience or knowledge should please help

1st not every supplier in nairaland sends goods to people before they pay,but we did that for u!
That proves how legit we are to trust worthy people
After sending you goods (which u haven't paid for) we expect you to check and pay the next day,but we waited and got tired of waiting,being patient with u we waited for more than 1week plus before we started calling and wondering if u have run away with our money/goods.
Then we contacted u! And u started giving useless and foolish excuses that the tour is not clean enuf for ur taste, and this and that!
(Now the question a reader should ask is, this man hasn't paid for the goods,why didn't he just return them since they aren't good enough for his taste??)
We kept begging u to send our money (beg o! Not force) for another week!..2 weeks gone!
Then it turned hands,we started begging u for our so called "bad/not clean" goods (which are perfectly ok us tours bought from a respectable importer in n.l here xcept the one whc d screen went blank that was refurbished and was changed for u from the us tours!)
we begged and kept begging and u kept giving useless lies! I'm in lagos!,I'm in dubai...bla bla bla,
And the dubious aspect! U stopped picking our calls for that week!,if we use another number,the moment u know, u cut it off (pls deny this? Lemme paste pictures of ur text messages and call logs)

When I almost brought a lawyer into the issue with some policemen to u, u then decide to comply! And finally u sent the goods after more than 3 and half weeks!! Of taking them!!
U sent them more dirty than they were!, without batteries and God knows if u didn't change the phns!
U are still with my batteries!..I dash u sha

May God help u not to cos headaches for other people!
And learn to take advise from those u have wronged and also learn that apologies could have been remedies for many wars that took place!
