Custard is used in many Nigerian homes alongside other foods. You won’t really see people eating it alone except for those that have health issues and are specifically told not to take solid foods. So I thought I should share with you all how to make custard the Nigerian way, because it’s something I feel I’m good at, though I don’t really know how to make lots of food varieties. A lot of people do say “what you need for custard is hot water and the grace of God”. This is because they’ve gotten tired of pouring hot water and still getting yellow liquid in return. So let me go straight to it. What you need for making custard A Bowl: For your custard powder Stirring spoon: For proper mixing Normal water: To mix with your custard powder Hot water: To get you final result Read also: Nigerian foods that are good separately but terrible together How to make custard Step 1: Get your bowl or a deep plate for your custard powder. The size of the bowl or plate will depend on the number of persons feeding on it. Then you add your powder to the bowl Step 2: Mix with normal water, it will definitely turn from powder to liquid. I always enjoy this because when mixing with water, it turns from powder to solid before finally getting to liquid state. It’s really fun for me. Make sure you mix very well. Step 3: Add hot water. Now this is where the problem is. Make sure your water is very hot. If it’s not so hot, you might not get what you’re looking for. And when you’re pouring your water, don’t be too careful, just freestyle and add hot water. And don’t stir while adding hot water, wait till you see what you’re looking for before you stir. Read also: Food combinations to try during your stay at home Once you’ve gotten your final result, you add whatever you wanna add in likes of your milk, honey, liquid chocolate and so on.. Then you can go on with eating with whatever you made it for. I love taking mine with Moi Moi, Akara, sometimes bread. But I don’t know how some persons take theirs with Beans.. Hope I was able to help you today on how to make custard, make sure you drop your comments on whatever you feel is missing in the steps… Source: https://jitefarms.com/

As someone that likes food, good food to be precise, I always want to try out new combinations, how mixing A with B would taste like. It is always fun for me to get a new kind of taste which most times are really good. But some other times, I get to trash the food because of it’s terrible taste. So I’m gonna be taking you through some food combinations with terrible taste which actually taste good separately. Noodles with plantain (dodo) Noodles is a food for every Nigerian student, and plantain (dodo) is just perfect with your rice, beans, sauce but not with noodles. Personally I tried this combination ones and I’ll tell you, the taste of combining the two is horrible. Haven’t tried it with unripe plantain, but the ripe ones are meant for your rice, beans and the rest but not noodles. Noodles with Bananas Looking so garnished in the photo above. But I don’t think it’s a food to combine. A friend of mine ones tried it and she slept in the toilet, her stomach was upset and very angry with her for dropping such a food in it. She was gassing out bad air from her mouth and the whole drama made her weak. Tomato and Cucumber salad Isn’t a salad healthy? The answer is yes, but the tomato/cucumber pairing work against each other in our stomachs. Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C , according to the USDA — in fact, they actually have more of it than an orange. However, cucumber contains an enzyme that interferes with the absorption of vitamin C, making your digestive tract a little angry, and canceling out some of the benefits. Beans and Pap This doesn’t sound nice, it doesn’t look nice, I have never tried it but I know it doesn’t taste nice. Beans isn’t for Pap…. Beans is for garri, beans is for dodo, beans is for bread, but guy not with Pap I know taking Pap with Moi Moi which is from beans isn’t bad but don’t do it will the real oil beans, I don’t know why but don’t just combine them. I’ll be stopping here… but they are not stopping here, help drop the food combinations with terrible taste you feel no one else should try at the comment session. Source: https://jitefarms.com/ |
