There is nothing to worry about since you have applied to the school already.... however do NOT make same mistake when applying for your visa... tell them u have been denied and add the necessary supporting document... in ur case the white paper.... in your SOP you can further explain why you were denied 'IF' you are sure of the reason... In all, be completely honest with the VISA process... Best of luck.. Joshtrix: |

Hello people in the house... there is something that has been coming to mind lately and I have decided to seek for advice... I resigned from my previous job this year Jan... went for a professional training between April and August this year... while applying for my VISA, I stated there that I had stopped working and currently just finished a training in August (I applied for VISA after that period)... now between August and Now, i have just been doing personal jobs...no official employment... I am having a feeling that the DIBP could ask me for proof of employment or ask for what i have been up to since i resigned from my professional job in Jan... Please guys, what is the best thing to say or do if that eventually comes up... NB: I submitted the certificate from the training along with my application... but what if they still ask for what I have been doing as the training wasnt a paid training... Please gurus in the house help... |

Submit what is asked of you... when it gets to your friends turn, they'll ask... There is no reason why the school would ask for those documents if not for consideration of admission... I was asked the same too when i applied to CQU... Mma24: |

Okay lately, most schools started screening students credentials by asking for SOA and GTE Statement from students before giving them admission which wasnt the case some years back... I asked my agent for the reason for this and was told the embassy now urges unis to do a pre screening before giving admission to students , i 'guess' this was due to the increase in applications received at the DIBP with majority of them not meeting up with either the Financial or GTE requirements... so the DIBP wanted to be curb that and ensure most of the applications they are screening have passed through like a Pre assessment from the Universities before giving students admission to save them from having so many applications and denying most of them due to their not meeting the required criteria... Now this led to the stance of dropping the schools rating or sanctioning them if they have lots of students apply for VISA from that school and most of them dont meet up with the criteria, i think this has something to do with the L1, L2, L3 thing we see around... so most schools have buckled up with their admissions and rather give 5 students admission and be almost certain the whole 5 would get VISA grants rather than giving 15 students admission and just 5 pass the DIBP screening... In all, neither myself or my agent work in the DIBP and all these informations could be just hear-says... so I'll advice people to either do their own findings or even just follow the normal protocols... nobody is an Island of knowledge, we can only share what we understand, its left for us to know what to do with the information... Cheers! justwise: 1 Like |

Most of them are scared to give you admission cos the embassy charges them for refused applications or it affects their ratings...(something of sort sha, not sure).... so most schools always want to be on the safe side... so people have resorted to hiding that information from the school just to get admission... however DO NOT make that mistake with the embassy... they'll surely find out... Above all.. my advice: Be honest with the school and pray they give you admission then everything gets better from there...if you try two or three schools and they deny you admission, then you know what to do Humble11: 2 Likes |

YES, it is the same medicals for VISA... For the second question, go to the IMNI Website and look at the checklist of documents required.. they might have updated the list, so check yourself... it should be under VISA category on the Imni website... swaystunna: |

Medicals: did mine at IOM Ikeja.. you'll have to book an apointment with them before going tho... then there is another one on the Island 'Dr Fatai Williams' or so... in all, just google 'Australian Immigration Medical centers in Lagos' and follow the thread... As for the Police clearance, you'll have to go to Alagbon Police Station in Ikoyi, Lagos... and ask for where you can get ur police character clearance done or ask for the ASP's office and talk to him like someone referred you to him .. I paid 5k and got it in less that an hour. Cheers.. vikmeek: |

Amen to that!! Well, i paid for my PTE through my agent and they got my study material (Textbook and practice CD) sent to me... I read the whole book and did the practice tests on the CD... I practiced for 3weeks (tho lazy practice till the last week where I had to buckle up)... in all sha, I did intense practice for just 5days. Went for the exam and thank God, the rest is history.. The exam is in sections... Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing... In all, if you prepare well for it with their study materials, you'll scale through.. So to answer your question, it was a self study... Hope i did small justice to your question.. PS: I already gave out my study material to a friend who wants to write the exam too... You can google PTE Test centers in Lagos or wherever you are to know where you can register for the exam... the study materials come with the fee you pay for the exam... Cheers! yese001: |

Only your bank can tell you.... but it basically entails you filling a form and showing evidence of of fee... so take with u your offer letter indicating the fee and also a means of ID.. above all, different banks with different protocols... Cheers! vikmeek: |
