The Rivers State Police Command has paraded one Mr Favour Ibama, for allegedly drugging, raping, and robbing over 20 young ladies after luring them on social media with enticing promises.

It was gathered that Ibama is a married man and father of four children.

During the parade five of his alleged female Victims were present, but three agreed snapshot, backing the cameras.

The ladies claimed that the actual number of victims were about 20 who may not want to show up immediately for obvious stigmatization but would testify as the investigation continue.

The Spokesperson of Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni, on while parading the suspect on Thursday, disclosed that he lures his female victims on social media dating site called “Tinder” and other sites with mouth -watery promises and allegedly drug them after which he will rape and cart away all their belongings.

SP Omoni stated that the suspect was arrested when he was spotted at a popular supermarket at Ada George, Port Harcourt, by one of his recent victims who raised an alarm that attracted passers by who apprehended him and handed him over to the Police.

SP Omoni revealed that his modus of Operandi is the same as the serial killer but only that he does not kill his victims.

Omoni disclosed that the command has deployed technical intelligence to recover the items he carted from the ladies, while the investigation is ongoing.

Some of the victims that spoke to our correspondent explained that after days of chatting with him on social media, he books a date with them in a hotel where he drugs their food, and after they consume the food they will fall asleep only to wake up to discover that he slept with them and made away with all their belongings.

Two of the victims revealed that he transferred N135,000 and 185,000 naira respectively from their phones while they were fast asleep.

Meanwhile, the suspect Mr Ibama denied the allegation in an interview with journalists.

He, however, admitted making love to his victims after enticing them with enticing amounts of money but never fulfilled his promises, blaming his action on the “devil, idleness and cashes on the greed of his victims”.

Mr Ibama admitted chatting one Blessing up on social media and the lady agreed to have sex with him if he pays 20,000 naira.

He disclosed that after they ate and had sex the lady who had allegedly smoked ‘weed’ suspected to be Cannabis Sativa slept off, and he left her without paying her the agreed money.

He denied stealing any of their properties or withdrawing money from their accounts.

The victims claimed that he drugs their drinks and food only to wake up and discover that he had sex with them and abandoned them in the hotel rooms.

He confessed in an interview that his wife just gave birth to in January is already threatening to divorce him because of his randy lifestyle and alleged criminal tendencies.

On why he doesn’t pay his victims as agreed, he said:” You know after sex there’s the tendency to get tired. Like the last girl, I left her in the hotel bed and bolted away while she was fast asleep.”

In the meantime, the Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Rivers chapter, Susan Serekara -Nwikhana, has condemned the incident and called for justice on the matter.

The NAWOJ Chairperson, Susan Serekara -Nwikhana advised ladies to scrutinize people they meet on social media before mingling with the person.

Also, a female legal practitioner, Yvonne Aimiegheme, and a representative of the International Federation of Women Lawyers(FIDA) tasked the Police to ensure a thorough investigation and justice on the matter.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has received in audience the National Council of Traditional Rulers at the State House in Abuja on Thursday.

This was disclosed by presidential aide, Buhari Sallau, who also shared photos from the meeting.

“President @MBuhari receives in audience National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria in State House on 11th Mar 2021,” Sallau captioned the photos on Twitter.

An Uber driver, Michael Tosin Lawal, has been convicted and sentenced after he pleaded guilty to internet fraud.

Justice M. A. Odegbola of the Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State on Monday, ordered that he (Oluwatosin) be remanded in prison for three months

Oluwatosin, the defendant pleaded guilty to an amended one-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, preferred against him by the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The lone charge reads, “that you, Michael Tosin Lawal ‘M’ sometimes in the year 2020, in Ibadan Oyo State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained Gift Cards from one Trevor, a white male by falsely representing to him that you are a white female by the name Cyndy Tyler from the United States of America, which pretence you knew to be false”.

Following his plea, Justice Odegbola ordered the convict to restitute the sum of $50 (Fifty United States Dollars) to his victim through the EFCC and forfeit items recovered from him to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Lagos State Police Command on Sunday said it has arrested 56 suspected armed robbers and cultists in Ikorodu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued by Command’s spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi.

He restated that the command would make Lagos State very hot for criminals, especially cultists, who terrorised the good people of the state.

The police boss re-echoed the command’s readiness to tackle and decimate criminals in the state while confirming 50 suspected armed robbers and cultists at Imota, Igbokuta, Adamo and Emure in Ikorodu area of the state during a sting operation carried out by the Commissioner of Police Strike Force between Friday 5th and Sunday 7th March, 2021.

“The thirty eight (38) male and 12 female (12) suspects, include Oladunni Abiodun, m, 20, Dosumu Oluwaseun, 22, Segun Adelaja, 29, Gbamila Iyabo, f, 26, wife of the Number 1 of Aye Confraternity in Igbokuta, arrested with one pump action loaded with 8 rounds of cartridges, Salisu Islamiyat, f, 29, wife of the Number 1 of Aye Confraternity in Emure, arrested with a locally-made pistol with some live cartridges, Abiodun Abbey, m, aka Oju Ogunle, alleged to have killed more than twenty two (22) people in Ikorodu area, and 44 others.

“Other items recovered from them include guns, live ammunition and cartridges, assorted charms, berets with Confraternity logos, paraphernalia of office of Confraternity and some dangerous weapons,” Odumosu said.

The Commissioner of Police also confirmed the arrest of six suspected cultists at Ibeju-Lekki area of the state by the police operatives attached to Elemoro Division in compliance with his directive on constant raids of the criminals hideouts in Eti Osa Local Government Area of the state.


“The suspects arrested include Adeyemi Hassan,m, Adesoye Yusuf, m, Yusuf Sadiku, m, Isaila Adebanjo, m, ex-convict who and leader of Aye Confraternity, Mosuru Ojo, m, and Tajudeen Ramon, m,” he said.

Odumosu, has put all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in the state on their toes to ensure that the state is rid of cultism, crimes and criminality.

He further charged them to spread and embrace the principles of the Community Policing concept of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, to have effective policing of their respective areas and the state at large

Odumosu ordered prompt investigation and prosecution of the cases as necessary arrangements had been made by the Lagos State Government to consistently fast track judicial processes in the state.

The Osun State Police Command Saturday morning confirmed the release of the seven abducted travelers along Osogbo/Obokun road.

The Nation reports that suspected Fulani herdsmen on Tuesday night around 7:30 PM stormed the road after Ajenbandele village in Ibokun Council Area of Osun State and abducted an unknown number of travellers.

During the attack, one yet-to-be-known man was shot dead while two women sustained injuries. The Commissioner of Police, Osun State, Mr Olawale Olokode, had said his men, Amotekun Corps, Vigilante and Hunters are combing the forest to secure the release of those that were abducted.
A statement by the spokesperson of Osun Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola started that, with the frantic efforts of Police and support from other security outfits, they have secured the release of seven abductees kidnapped along Ibokun/Osogbo road on 2nd March 2021.

“The victims were released due to the pressure mounted on the abductors by the Police and other security agencies. The victims will soon be reunited with their families. The Commissioner of Police appeals to the good citizens of the State to collaborate with Police to get rid of all criminal elements from the state while assuring the members of the public/commuters of their safety as security measures have been put in place to forestall future occurrence,” she said.

Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has explained why former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode did not join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Recall that The Nation had reported that Yahaya Bello, in a two minutes video, claimed the former minister had dumped the PDP for the APC.

The time devil settles in your home is when one gets married to a bad partner. I got married to a wrong woman about 12years ago, we had 3kids, 2 boys and a girl, our first child (a boy) is 11years old.

I have been suspecting her for some time now. We've been having issues recently, our families and friends have tried to help us reconcile but she kept insulting me and my family members an attitude which she developed overnight. Initially she stole from my save about a million naira and ran away from home with our kids, I started searching for her, called her people to persuade her to return home because her safety and that of the kids is more important to me and I do not want to know the reason why she stole from me. She returned with the kids and that was the beginning of it.

Her stealing habit never stopped rather she turned it into an hobby. There was a time she returned home after her usual practice, I asked the kids where their mother took them to, they said they stayed in one uncle's house.

That was the beginning of my worries, who is this man my wife will always run to anytime she steals from me? .what was their motive,I prayed and hoped she will not kill me one day. So I decided to dig up her Facebook account and see who are mutual friends are, I tried to see if I can get the details of the man she runs to.

I picture one of her ex, believing he could be the one, but something struck me about this man, my first son has a form resemblance with him, is it possible I am not the father of our first son?, or is it just my imagination? She did the usual again and I vowed never to take her back ,families and friends tried to settle our differences but I refused, they don't want to see things from my perspective ,they don't seem to understand me, they kept using the kids as a bait, I accepted her again.

About 2 years ago, she packed out of the house on her own, insisting I get her an apartment for her and the kids which I did, she demanded for a shop where she will sell frozen foods, I did all she wanted, gave her monthly allowance for the kids and her self. So, I decided to take the bold step, I did DNA test for my first son, after some weeks the result came out NEGATIVE.

I almost lost it, I wasn't myself, I called her one on one and told her about the DNA result, she wasn't shock and she didn't feel remorseful, I told a friend of mine who was also close to her to talk to her about the result and recorded their conversation, she said I should not think of digging too deep because I might hurt myself, already the doctor advised that I carry out DNA test on the remaining two kids, few weeks back , I got the results, our second child which is the girl is mine, but the other boy is not mine.

So painful after 12 years, I get to know the person I called my wife. Now, she is no where to be found with the kids. I want you all to help me fish out this wicked woman, so she give me my daughter before she destroys her life
