Am from Edo but I will prefer to buy a land in Lagos than Benin. You are talking as if Benin is better, they can sell a land for three people. Do you know the number of land cases in the Court. Same tribe in different communities will be killing their self because of land. I have family and friends who lost their lands. When buying land in Lagos, patronize registered real estate firm, confirm from government agency and make sure your land is not close to canal, high tension areas. Don't listen to any sweet mouth. Land in Lagos appreciate far more than any other places in Nigeria.

It's currently selling for 35m per 400sqm.

Estates that surrounds this plots are going for 50m per plot. No cap.

How much is a unit? This is the very reason why corruption will remain in the civil service and government at large. How do you explain that a country where many live in poverty (by World Bank definition) sells unit of housing for ridiculous prices?

If they buy today then in five years they can resell it and recoup x20 of the investment.

This is sad but;

The bitter truth is when ever the west talk about POVERTY, Africa is often given as examples. Its a narrative that would take something truly special to change.


To some people that sees this as Racism, well, same way we can't get rid of Tribalism, they won't be able to eradicate Racism.


Any solution would be hinged on us to improve ourselves personally and be corrupt free and be ready to change the black man syndrome of embezzlement of public funds when representing the country in a Public capacity or in Government to fixing basic , medical , educational and social amenities.
