this guy is a fool. is it buhari that made Godwin Emefiele the central bank governor or Jonathan? is Godwin Emefiele igbo? gaba shuhu or whatever he is called should be enlightened maybe is is forgetting so soon. the military employment question is still a topic of debates and deploying them to south east its tribal cleansing and genocide. viral video the world is watching at the moments is already causing emotional unrest as people are already reacting to it worldwide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQJJXCXE1qQ&has_verified=1&client=mv-google&layout=mobile they already killed some ipob and attacked media outfits that tried to cover their activities in the east. is it by force to live together. here is a uk report of ibtimes http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/disturbing-video-allegedly-shows-nigerian-army-torture-murder-biafran-secessionists-1639343 Disturbing video allegedly shows Nigerian army torture and murder Biafran secessionists Video appears to show soldiers beating men with batons and forcing them to drink dirty river water. Ludovica IaccinoJames Lillywhite By Ludovica Iaccino, Video by James Lillywhite Updated September 14, 2017 15:51 BST 01:25 Shocking video allegedly shows Nigerian army abusing suspected IPOB members Shocking video allegedly shows Nigerian army abusing suspected IPOB members TGS Intelligence Consultants The Nigerian army is investigating a video showing what appear to be troops torturing and murdering civilians accused of belonging to a separatist group. The nearly three-minute-long video began circulating on social media earlier in September. It appears to show soldiers forcing a group of half-Unclad men to lie down on the ground, beating them with batons. They are then forced to lie in a river and drink dirty water. Biafra 50 years on: The legacy of one of Africa's bloodiest warsREAD MORE Pointing at what appears to be a corpse lying on the ground, the person recording the video is heard saying: "This one now, is dead". The footage ends with images of the men lying in the water motionless. It is not clear what happened to them next and whether they are dead or alive. The men were suspected of belonging to the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob) group, which calls for the independence of Biafran territories that were forcibly annexed to Nigeria during British colonisation. An Independent Republic of Biafra was declared in 1967 and re-annexed to Nigeria in 1970, after three years of civil war. It is believed the footage was taken in Abia state, in Nigeria's south-east. IBTimes UK sources said the men were travelling to the residence of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, when they were stopped by the military. Soldiers found the youths in possession of flags of the former Republic of Biafra. Nnamdi Kanu's wife: Even if it takes 20 years, we will not allow witness secrecy trial READ MORE The army's spokesperson, Brigadier General Sanni Usman, was not immediately available for a comment on the video. However, he was quoted by local media as saying the army was aware of the footage and was investigating it. "We are aware of certain video being circulated," he said, according to the Daily Post. "We have gotten complaints of the said video, and have commenced an investigation into the matter and the report would be made public. The General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Major General Adamu Abubakar, is investigating it and whatever it is, we will definitely let the public know about the outcome." Rights group Amnesty International told IBTimes UK it is also investigating the video. Allegations of violence This is not the first time that Nigerian security forces have been accused of violence against of pro-Biafra secessionist groups, but authorities have always denied such allegations. In March, Amnesty called on the governor of Anambra state in south-eastern Nigeria to investigate alleged killings of pro-Biafra secessionists that have occurred in recent years. Pro-Biafra protest Abia state Pro-Biafra supporters shout slogans in Aba during a protest calling for the release of leader Nnamdi Kanu in November 2015Pius Utomi Ekpei/AFP/Getty Amnesty released reports alleging abuses against Ipob members, claiming security forces had killed at least 150 people "and injured hundreds more during peaceful assemblies" since August 2015. The army denied the allegations, claiming it intervened to prevent "ethnic clashes" and accused Amnesty of trying to tarnish its image. Independence calls have gained renewed momentum following Nnamdi Kanu's arrest in October 2015. Kanu, Ipob leader and director of UK-based Radio Biafra, is standing trial on treasonable felony charges and was released on bail earlier this year. The trial will resume in October. The Nigerian government has always maintained the country's unity was a priority and that while peaceful pro-Biafran protests were welcome, demanding the breakaway of the Biafran territories went against the constitution. Igbo people ordered to 'relocate' out of northern Nigeria: Is a new civil war brewing?READ MORE Security analyst David Otto believes that, should investigations confirm that the men in the video were tortured by soldiers, it will be a strong sign that excessive violence might lead to radicalisation of youths, subjected to such treatments. "The security services shown in this vile video have shown ineptitude in handling the Biafra agitators to a point where their action is acting as a radicalising tool to vulnerable and angry Igbo youths , creating the basis of ethnic and sectarian violence in Nigeria," he told IBTimes UK. The majority of people inhabiting south-eastern Nigeria are Igbo, one of the country's largest ethnic groups. The Igbo people led the 1967 Biafran secession. "The security forces must be called to order and the President [Muhammadu Buhari] has to intervene and address the Biafra agitation crisis in the south," said Otto. "This is enough evidence that there is the urgent need of restructuring the security services training to take into account cruel actions that generate unintended consequences that may jeopardise national peace and stability." |
this can't be a credible news |

it's very clear that only referendum will bring peace to Nigeria. but why the the federal government. shying away or running away from referendum? we need to put stop to this madness. |

most people don't know anything at all when they talk about finishing Biafra if another civil war should break out. no country can fight two civil war for the same purpose after about 50years. what this means to Western world is that the union is not working and cannot which is like equivalent to slavery's. the only choice of the federal government is to do all it can in uniting the country diplomatically as the only option or tools available to them and they are already failing in that part. the world will sees it as two tribal war instead with one in advantage of government forces and military while the other is weak. and once the killings are recorded and documented Nigeria will turn to what happens in Libya when rebels will be getting free aids, arms from foreign countries and support to fight back the government. and with government sanction and blacklisted. if there happen to be another civil war i bet you that its going to be only the Huasa/Fulani against the igbo. no other tribe will partake in it and the Niger Delta will likely declared their independence. no nation can survived two civil war and reunite again. the country will be declared not fit to continued. the British and America that is supporting the Hausa/Fulani will chicken out. no nation can fight and survived two war. if another war should start after 50years then forget it. Ipob has demonstrated that the agitation of Biafra is still alive after 50 years civil war and the world can see. i believe there are going to be a ipob demonstration October 1 and that's why the military are deployed. you cannot be celebrating independent while fraction of the country is demonstrating for independence. |
i don't forgive cheaters because i don't trust people twice. i only trust people for once because i believe in the theory that once someone betrayed you they can/will do it again. it doesn't matter how long it takes for that same thing that caused it in the first place. |

Ockel, the maker of the Sirius A six-inch hybrid phone-PC, is gearing up to ship the device in November. A year ago Dutch firm Ockel Computers hoped to release the Sirius A by May but has made a number of revisions during prototyping and now aims to ship the device to its crowdfunding backers on November 20. Ockel aimed to pack everything a computer has into a smartphone-like form factor. Though it's about the size of a large smartphone, it has one wider side to support a broad range of ports for an external display, HDMI, LAN, and a microSD card. It also has two USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type C port, and a separate power jack. The device is for people who want to run full Windows 10 but don't want to carry around a laptop or 2-in-1. The Sirius A features a six-inch full HD touch display, and runs on an Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor. The Pro model has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed, while the standard model has 4GB and 64GB storage with Windows 10 Home. A new feature that Ockel has added during the prototyping phase is Windows Hello support via a fingerprint reader in the power button. Backers voted for the feature. The Sirius A features mobile sensors, such as a gyroscope and accelerometer, but at 334 grams (11.8oz) it is tad heavier than the iPad mini 4. It also doesn't have a phone app for calling and only has a front-facing camera. Microsoft helped the company create a feature called Switch Mode, which converts the device into a keyboard or mouse once attached to a screen as an input device. Ockel recently explained to backers that shipments would be delayed as it hadn't realized some of its integrated-circuit suppliers needed a 16-week lead-time. It still has one more batch of pilot units due later this month before going into mass production on October 20. The Sirius A and Sirius A Pro will be available at retail for $699 and $799, respectively. The models were available to backers on Indiegogo for $549 and $649. there is already rumor that buhari is considering El-Rufai as next person inline to take over from him due to health issues. but all i have to say is that i will change citizenship if El-Rufai ever become president of Nigeria. beside that El-Rufai as APC flag bearer will divide the party giving PDP more advantage. |
phillip afiong should have been more recognized than ojukwu. he help save the cleansing of ibo descendants. he was from minority tribe that was why he couldn't get pardon. |
the problem with atiku is that he is not a good political analyze. he hastily jump ship and conclusions. IBB is a better analyze when it comes to political calculation. the party he help to rubbish he and kwakwaso. going back to vomits. a party others have helped to rebuild. |
