but j stop taking the drugs almost 3 months now. although my eyes improved but it's not as bright as it use to be. there is sometimes it sharp and sometimes it blurred.

old yahoo messenger, one of the oldest IM platform has been shutdown by Yahoo. it was announced that august 5 is the said date which many thought it was a joke. but since then I am unable to login into Yahoo messenger.

You are wrong! the number of invalid votes does not determine the outcome of the election. The winner can still be declared even if the winning margin is less than the invalid vote. Election can only be declared inconclusive if the winning margin is less than the number of CSNCELLED vote. Thank you

invalid vote already stood at 10%. that already is inconclusive. except PDP can top some more with 75% not 55%

reason is that the number of invalid vote is on Tue high side. and the margin is too closed. if the winning margin is not enough to win the invalid votes. then the election will be inconclusive.

I don't want a wife cos I do not think I need one. although societal pressure is just too much. countless of gossip. people don't really mind their business. they call you gay and all manner of things when you are minding your business and not talking with neighbouring woman.

Buying a land as a form of savings and for investment purposes is a good idea and part of proper and futuristic planning (which is part of building his business before private estate as wise people do - my postulation therein). However, my postulation is different from your myopic idea; which is buying a land and build a personal/lease house - your foremost post pointed to this - he can't afford such for now.

Omo see advice, you don't even know Op that much and you have concluded that he should build a house, this kind of advice has led alot of people into further debts.

Let's assume Op is currently residing in a room apartment somewhere in mushin and he works on the island, considering that a room apartment might not be more than 5000 a month, that means op is left with 65,000..then consider other expenses, transportation, bills, misc etc how will it be possible for the op to build that house you have just suggested?


If he's going to build a house, putting into consideration the high price of lands and building materials then it means op will have to save alot, and I'm optimistic that with such salary op might need to spend much more to get to work, maybe he'll end up getting to work late and you know what that'll result in..


Anyway, back to the question..Op I'm not an economist ooo but I'll advise you to first manage or stay a bit where you currently stay and then save up in a year, let's say you manage to save up to 30k a month, that's 360 in a year, then after one year you can rent a mini flat(one room,one living room, one toilet, and kitchen), then get married( doesn't have to be extravagant, just go to the registry blah blah blah).. try to use the remaing money to furnish your place a little bit( you can furnish further later on) but keep small change for foodstuff and transportation, then save 30k again for another 6 months( that should give you 180k, use this to establish your wife, small shop and stock it up a bit, at least to start from somewhere).. use the remaining 6 months to save 30k again and use that to pay your house rent( this way you'll be in the good books of your landlord,)... next year try to save for 6 first 6 months and use part of it to support your wife's business and keep the rest just incase a child come's in between, use the remaining 6 months to save and pay your rent...

Op, I'm not advocating that you shouldn't build a house, but to me, that's not and shouldn't be your top priority for now and shouldn't even be for the next couple of years,.

I am not suggesting he should build in expensive location. .. he can remain in rent and build his house somewhere.

Wise people build their business before building their private estate. Obviously, the OP is working in the urban area in Lagos, so how's going to afford money to buy land and start the possible one room project? Or, is land now free of charge in Lagos state? Don't tell me that he should go look for land in one of the villages near the state, because when you factor in the cost of transportation and stress of commuting from a far distance to a city centre, you would begin to understand the maxim penny wise pound foolish.

At the OP, the standard of life you intends to live should be the yardstick to determine if you can start famliy now or not. But remember, wise people always live their lives at the periphery of conventionlism. Create your life path and encrypt it. Good luck.

I didn't state that it’s a must to live in the BQ. that is only a backup. choice of work always come to play. what if everything failed? like he lost his job? where will he go to? from house to village? there are people in the city of lagos who live in rents but they put tenants in their houses outside the city.
