About the role

The tutor is responsible for providing math tutoring services, guiding and assisting students with homework, problem solving and test preparation.

As a Math tutor you will provide help to students in academic math tutoring, guiding and assisting students with Math-work, problem solving and test preparation. Also, your job duties vary, depending on the Math Exam the Student/Students take (i.e., SAT, GRE, GMAT).
As a Math tutor, you want to foster a reassuring learning environment that can enable students to learn quickly.

What you will do:
• Tutor students on aspects relating to Math.
• Responsibilities may include assessing a student’s strengths and weaknesses in different areas.
• Planning session plans to target specific skills, and developing ways to help them improve.
• Develop rapport with students to instill trust and convey authority.
• Engage students Socratically, prompting critical thinking and reflection.
• Assign and hold students accountable to completing homework to reinforce material learned in sessions.

What we are looking for:
• B.Sc/B. Edu Qualification (Mathematics preferably)
• 0 - 1+ years relevant Teaching experience
• An understanding of Teaching SAT, GRE is an added advantage
• Ability to use Microsoft Office tools
• Great communication skills
• Candidate that is resident around Gbagada environment
