Not to discourage you. Other people make a living and feed their family from this same job in the same ibadan. It might just take time. shady2royce: |

I don't blame them. Na business wey dey go well people dey make community off. I've met few drivers, some has been in the business for over 2 years, sadly there no hot spot out here. I can say the likes of new garage, akala express, lead city can be very busy during weekends. But for someone like me that stay far away from there. It's a no go area for me cos once i pick a ride going to that asix, i never get a passenger back to my base. shady2royce: |
Lol It's terrible here in ibadan, I've learned my lesson. I no longer bother try working on weekdays. Even weekends i barely do upto 10 rides from Friday thru Sunday. The few rides that pups up on indrive are always bery ridiculous prices. shady2royce: |

Just seeing this thread. I started e-hailing few weeks ago in ibadan and all i can say it's very bad here. From rubbish fair price on bolt and indrive to unavailability of rides. It's tiring. Yesterday i only picked a ride, that's after seeing bunch of ridiculous fiar offer. Today as I'm typing. I've been out since like 11. Till now i neva see any ride pick. Can any past or present driver point me to location i can get plenty ride offer. Cos I'm tired. I justbdey waste fuel come outside cos i stay far inside town. I've tried bodija, Ashi, eleyele, Jericho and Mokola... I don't get much rides there ![]() |
The last time i experienced this was when a KAZEEM worked on the legs of my Acura Tsx, when he took out the shocks to replace it, he mismatched the frame that holds the absolber and knuckle (he put the one the left to right). My breaks works just fine but when ever i turn the steering to reverse or to make a turn. The break goes very low which was scary at first but i got used to it.. i battled with it for weeks until i travelled to lagos and gave it to a break specialist. He was the one that told me that was probably the culprit. I still drove the car back to ibadan for the KAZEEM to undo the rubbish he did. That was the last time i patronized him. lekzy007: |
Kickstarter drains battery? vivalavida: |
Wow. That means the car has a differ issue. Mine gives no issue and i even totall forgot it use to jerk sometime ago. If you're in lagos i have a mechanic i can recommend to you. Nteogwuija: |
It could be your alternator draining the battery while the car is off. My guy's 09 Corolla has same issue, we changed the battery and visited few rewire, and they kept recommending him to do kill switch which i refused. We got a third opinion and the guy checked the alternator and said it's drawing power even while the car is off. Took it somewhere to fix it and installed it back. That was the end of the issue. What's the best way to clean and degrease underneath of my engine bay? Y'all know how the Honda K24 engine are know for having different leaks from different gaskets... Mine is just like that, it's so bad that the underneath is full with grease. I want to try clean it so i can start monitoring it to know where the leaks are coming from.. The local kazeems around me aren't making it easy for me. They are just guessing. That's why I'm taking matters to my hands |
About the jerk when you engage Gear From my little experience of using a car, i noticed people don't make use of handbreak while parking their car, they just move the car from D to P which is bad and that's the cause of the jerk. I don't know the solution to that cos even my car does that and some other cars I've driven. But here's what i do. Whenever you want to park your car, With your foot still on the break, Put the car on N, engage the Parking break, remove your legs from the break to allow the car rest on the parking breaks then shift gear to park. If you do this as i mentioned, you'd notice that the next time you shift thr gear from P to R/D. You won't notice the Jerk. The Jerk is caused because the car weighs is resting on the Gear which in time has an effect on the gear and sometimes even do more damages to it. Try this and let me know if it works Nteogwuija: |
I have this size 17 Rim and tire i want to get raid of, Works for Rav4, Highlander and other SUV and sedan that uses the size 17rim size. Rim was bought toks for 35k, never used for once by me, tire is very used. It was one of my old tires i just slapped on the rim I bought the rim to use as an extra tire but apparently it's big and takes too much space in my trunk What i want is an actual spare tire and rim that will fit my trunk perfectly, new or used doesn't matter cos I'm never going to use it. Don't have an extra tire you can drop for the deal? pay 35k and it's yours Going as it's in the picture Location is ibadan. Sango/apete axis Contact on signature

Update: After taking note of the results i got last night after my test drive yesterday night after installing bach the thermostat. This morning-To afternoon i did my regular daily trip which is usually 8-12 miles, everything seems fine. On the dashboard the temperature was between 85-86 °C while on my scanner it was around 180-200°F while on move and on idle it can go as high as 210-215°F. It never got to the 220-230° i got yesterday even in hot weather conditions. And i can say the fan barely overworked like before thats it was always on cos from the few times i check it while I'm stopped, fan is going off or already off cos the temperature is already below 190-200°f (the fan usually kicks in between 190-200°f) I'll see if i notice anything different by tomorrow but for now i can say everything is well. I never knew my car can be this silent cos the sound from the engine is usually louder than the exhaust sounds on idle due to the fan always working on max speed. One last question: My 2 radiator fans works together instead of just one since the AC isn't on, I don't think the 2 fan should work together or is that how Honda cooling system works? JoeSef0: |
I dropped the reading according to what i got from my scanner 230 is 110°C kingreign: |
How do i check the radiator cap for pressure? ECT 2 isn't working, it has a code that refuses to clear even after changing the sensor 3 times, after some research, i was told it could be a ground issue (electrical issue). I haven't seen a competent electrician I'm willing to give the car to troubleshooting yet. So the code is still sitting. Note; the ECT 2 is the sensor inside the radiator not the one in the engine kingreign:

I can't remember, it's been long. I've been using the car without thermostat all this while. But this evening i fixed back the thermostat. Fan kicked in at 190°f, went as high as 200°+ I test drove the car for like 10mins without AC (my ac is bad) At some point it went as high as 230° thereabouts, then it reduced again. I was monitoring it with my small obd scanner. As for the temp gauge on the dashboard. It got to the middle and at some point when it hit the 230 mark, it went slightly above the middle.. it was night so i couldn't risk taking a picture. But no sign of overheating what so ever. I know 230° is highz I'm not sure it's normal Picture below was taken while on idle before the test-drive aninweze:

My 06 Tsx doesn't have a thermostat when i got it. I've bought 2 toks thermostat for it and it always overheats but once the thermostat is removed. It never overheats. I thought the thermostat were bad as they were used, i was already asking around for vendors that had brand new. But this afternoon I was just making some research online and i saw i could test if the thermostat opens with boiling water which i tested the 2 and both open and close in hot and cold temperature which indicates they works fine. So now I'm confused something else is causing the over heating Now I'm curious why they car keeps overheating when the thermostat is installed Image 1: Thermostat open Image 2: Thermostat closed
