If the room has ventilation, you can put connect a switch to the fan so you can manually turn it on and off.
That was what a someone did to one famicare 1kw Inverter. No issues or noise since then
ask4bk:
Guys... Greetings.

What's the best 12v inverter you could recommend for me, that has low fan noise to carry just 150w?
I've one (sachet pure sine wave) but the noise wan finish me since I'm installing inside my bed room.
About 1.2kva go do.

Pls, i need recommendations from EXPERIENCE.

So you mean a lfpo4 battery would work, charge and also discharge well without BMS with no side effect in the future?

Please explain to me how ‼️

I see
How about using a normal sachet inverter or those other 1kva inverter that has charger along side external charger so that when there's grid input it will bypasss.
I currently use a 1kw famicare Inverter but the charging amps is too low, I'm thinking of getting an external charger to add to it
Iinnov8:
Good question.

No, it doesn't do so as a follow-come feature. It is a budget setup afterall. But it can be made possible using a relay switch to automatically transfer your load to grid, if available.

However, if the charger is connected to a separate socket that is NOT powered by the inverter, but pulled out from the point grid or gen enters your house so that the socket/charger only comes on when there is nepa or gen light, then you can have a system that runs without your intervention to a great extent.

Your battery will immediately begin charging as soon as there is grid input, even though the inverter is on and still powering your loads. And as long as your loads doesnt exceed the amps rating of the charger, the batter will be getting charged while your loads are still being powered. You can then manually switch to nepa light at your convenience.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 12:46pm On Feb 21
With this sachet inverter with battery charger, will thr inverter still bypass when there's grid input?
Iinnov8:
They are actually Lithium batteries (LiFePO4) made with Grade A cells. See datasheet attached. A capacity test has been done on them, see links below, and we will be conducting a live strip down test on them soon.

And yes, it can power your house. You either get an inverter, AC charger and solar charge controller (as seen in first picture below), all of which i can provide, or get an Hybrid (all-in-one) inverter. I have a Haisic 1.5kva available for 190k. See picture below

a hybrid (all-in-1) inverter (

The system is a 12v system and i have a pwm CC already that was ised in the setup previously, according to the CC, the max pv wat for 12v is 720w which is lower than the 1kw panels, but on 24v i can run 1300w.
And lastly, i know the wire you're talking about. I'll ask for it tomorrow. Thanks

bassdow:
if you got solar panels free, at least try invest in a (USEd) charge controller.

if you already got 5pcs of 200w solar panels, an MPPT charge controller would allow you run them all in series so long it's on 24v system or above. No need further increasing the population of small solar panels.

As for the Cable, just enter Omo Igbo Shop that selles electrical things, ask for made-In-Nigeria wire; it's same cable that NEPA uses to draw light from the pole directly into your compound. You know that wire NEPA cuts when you fail to pay for darkNess.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 7:50pm On Feb 11
Can you specify the PV cable you're referring to here?
I'm trying to install 5*200w solar panels i removed from my guys place after upgrading to 5*535w jinko, and i don't think it's worth it for me to carry money go buy 10-15yrds 10mm cables to run am on parallel. As a matter of fact I'm thinking of adding one more 200-300w panels to run am 3s3p. Charge controller is a pwm
bassdow:
na you dey overComplicate things trying to follow the crowd

For such requirement that closes by 5pm or thereAbout, the following once again should be a good enough start;

2pcs USEd 350w solar panels = 40,000 * 2 = 80,000 naira
USEd 24v 3.5kva or 3kva (sachet or hybrid or standard) inverter = 130,000 naira
USEd charge controller (only when not using hybrid inverter)= 60,000 naira
PV cable (poor man's own) = 20,000 naira
Brand new lithium based battery or USEd leadAcid battery 24v = 300,000 naira

installation costs = As the spirit leads

going 12v would only save you few pennies now BUT cost you more later

if you could afford 4pcs of solar panels, better.

if e still expensive for your sister, check to be sure you not trying to help her while helping yourself.

Good day guys, what's the best Budget friendly 1.5-2kva 12v hybrid inverter in the market right now and is there another battery brand that outperform the 1.3kw cworth 12v battery and that is around the same price bracket (177k)
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 2:18pm On Dec 19, 2025
1m budget for just battery, inverter and accessories
Solar panels would be added later
Unfaized:
Try stating your budget. That will enable streamlined recommendations. And also the number of hours you're likely to run your loads.

2.5kwh battery is too small to add a 1hp AC to especially as your initial load is already 800w. Consider a 5kwh battery minimum.

With the above, 2 550w panels cannot consistently give you a full charge for your daily needs. Consider stepping it up.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 9:38am On Dec 19, 2025
I specifically said 24v
Client would be adding a 1hp AC in the future. A 12v system can't cut it

Hi everyone.
A friend of mine consulted me about going solar, he was looking at the colasolar 3600 power station but after factoring the price including solar panels, i told him he's better off installing a solar system.

So i need some recommendations on budget friendly and very good:
*2.5kw 24v lithium battery
*2.5-3kva 24v hybrid inverter system
*Is 2 550w jinko solar panels good enough to charge the battery considering his total load is not more than 800w but he would be adding a 1hp AC unit in the future
*what mm cable is good enough to handle the series connections of the solar panels
Budget: 800k-1m without solar panels
Lastly the price range of the items and where to get them from would be appreciated

It's easier said than done.
Fares on bolt are ridiculously cheap, indrive is a bit manageable. But then if you factor fuel cost and maintenance especially the fact that my car takes 1 liter/6km. It's not really worth it. My calculations in from my personal experience. Not dem say

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 7:53am On Dec 06, 2025
I own a 2006 Acura Tsx with a 4 cylinder engine.
Since it's a 20ah battery, i want to assume the battery would be very small enough to fit into the glove box and also be able to fit other things in the glove box..

What's the price range and make of the 20ah battery?
HeavenlyBang:
Ran the cables from the engine bay to the glove compartment. Right now it's a 75AH lead acid in parallel with an 18AH LFP, the LFP sits inside the glove compartment due to space and thermal constraints.

So far so good. LFP battery supposedly has a 20a dumb BMS, though I haven't opened it up to check. Car itself is a Mercedes and has an intelligent charge control unit so charging is pretty safe. The LFP charges at around 13.7v to 14.1v for the most part, which is within spec.

You don't need to configure anything, the LFP just acts as a buffer for the idle drain. Please do your tests properly, since I don't know what car you'd be using it on.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m):
Aside from the fact that I can't even afford anything at the moment. But considering cost, i know a jumpstarter is multipurpose, but then a new battery and a jumpstarter cost almost around the same range, maybe few thousands naira difference but not much, I'm the type of person that sits in my car, put it on accessory mode only to listen to music or charge my phone.. I can't do that anymore because the car would probably not start due to weak battery.

Drgreatone:
Why not just get a jump starter. My battery has bin doing same for abt 6mths now if i leave it for 48hrs or more idle. I got the jumpstart 4mths back and its bin bliss. Once it doesn't crank, na to use jumpstart and the battery has bin fine so far
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 9:39pm On Dec 03, 2025
How did you create space for 2 batteries inside the bunnet and also how did you configure it to make the lfp work for idle drain and not the 2 batteries?.
Lead acid batteries are so annoying. The solite made in Korea battery i bought about 13 months ago for 85k now barely cranks my engine after leaving the car idle for more than 24hrs.i now have to remove the battery head if I don't have plans to use my car in 2-3 days otherwise i have to run the car for 5-10 mins every day to keep the battery alive... Annoying ‼️

HeavenlyBang:
DIY IS expensive.

There's the monetary expense that comes with buying tools and materials at retail prices, and then the time expense, opportunity cost, actual stress and effort plus having to troubleshoot when things eventually go wrong.

Recently I wanted to build a 12v battery to use as an auxiliary battery on my car. By the time I calculated the things involved, I jeje went to buy it from a guy selling it on the lithium thread. It was much cheaper than if I'd tried to build it myself, simply because I don't even have the tools.

On a side note, using lead acid + LFP in parallel on a car seems to work like a charm. LFP handles the idle drain, while the LA takes over when cranking.
