Hi bro.

I have info on how to get a doctor job in Saudi, don't know about any other gulf country (but I'd like to if anyone can help).

So, for Saudi - the Ministry of Health (MOH) sends representatives to Nigeria at least twice each year to recruit. Whenever they come they work via recruitment agencies and conduct interviews in Lagos and Abuja. They were just here in March but should be returning in a few months time, not sure when though. Interviews were conducted in Lagos on 19th/20th via Onyva concepts and 21st/22nd via Successlink, as well as in Abuja on 24th/25th via BHP global.

The contact details for the recruitment agencies are as follows (cos they are the ones that the MOH guys contact when they are due to come)

ONYVA concepts -
Mobile - 08023181127, 08050735298, 07028104483
whatsapp - 07037115557
BBM - 2AF20ECA
Email - onyvaconcepts@yahoo.com

SUCCESSLINK

Whatsapp - same

BHP Global

Persist. Persevere. Struggle hard bro. Never give up. I pray the best for you.

Please, Any update on this?.. sounds interesting.. but I believe things might have changed.

please house
what's your take about going to medical school at 31 yrs of age?
like someone said above, your passion for it maters the most.
i know people who had started with me after 1st degree and just couldnt continue, However I there are even older guys who scaled through.
Their challenges were mostly financial pressures, stress, distractions.. and some very foolish thoughts like when you younger brother's mate percusses you on the round, or that your rate of assimilation is lower because of age, dont ever fall for that, just be humble.
You will have to be able to answer the question "why am I here? almost everyday and your answer must be definite and focused, which all boils down to purpose and passion.
Above all, having a good plan will help you, with your maturity you can well thrive under these forces, eat well, read well, sleep (when you can), and pray that the odds will always be in your favour.
I hope you chase your passion and purpose. Good luck.

It is quite unfortunate that you are in Nigeria where our leaders are useless and things don't move forward. Many developed countries are already engaging their medical students in the fight against covid 19 let alone a graduate like you. Well, welcome to the reality in Nigeria.

Well,my advice to you is this. Those NCDC will hardly take you because we are in a country where you have to know someone to get a job. Besides they may want to put criteria like NYSC for one to apply( you see how backward your country is?)
Seek private hospitals that may engage your services. They may pay you peanut since you have not done housemanship. But better to earn little than nothing. Your location may aid this . Easier in places like Lagos.Just look for private hospitals and tell them you would like to get involved and bargain with them little stuff they can pay you. Don't do it for nothing because most of them will want to take advantage of you, telling you that you should learn first. What did they think you spent at least 6 years doing in medical school? Just thank them and leave if they won't give you small choppingson to cover your transport and pocket money.
More importantly, you need to start studying to leave this country. Get materials and read for foreign exams. You can plan to relocate to Saudi Arabia,Omar,Australia,UK,USA,Ireland,New Zealand , just anywhere provided it is not Nigeria.
There is nothing for you as a doctor in Nigeria.
Just my opinion anyway.

Thanks so much for this.
I ll look out for a place like that, I m in Lagos too.
Also, I m already preparing for Ielts, (I wont mind any ideas/advice on this)
and plab subsequently.
On Volunteering,.. I got a feedback from an NGO to join the workforce at a satelite makeshift hospital.
and this question keep rolling slides is my head..
"is Nigeria really worth it"?

This isn't as direct as you think.
My wedding was also postponed indefinitely. We wanted to hold it as minimal as possible, but we could not find a way around it due to the restriction of movement and we don't stay close to each other.
We postponed it just 2days or so to the date.
Me no even think about it, but I think it's affecting my wife

Online wedding nko.. make una zoom am na..

Hello Drs..
Thank God I found a thread like this.. I ve been reading from page 1 and wondering where I have been.

I m a new medical graduate, currently awaiting House Job in Nigeria, however, this current covid 19 lockdown has seem to slow down the process at institutions I applied to.

Somehow. I really dont know what to do, Its been frustrating.

I ve tried reading..even attempted volunteering to fight covid19 grin

What can I do for now please?.. Exposure?.. I need your advice please.

Health / COVID-19 Volunteering, Please Help by Johannan: 2:35pm On Apr 06, 2020
Hello Everyone,

We all know that the numbers for the covid19 in Nigeria has risen, currently it is at about 232 reported case positive, 5 deaths.

It has become a collective responsibility for community involvement in the fighting of this pandemic rather than stirring up unnecessary controversies.

By now, I expect everywhere to be filled with NGOs calling for volunteers from health workers and other stakeholders for support. So far I have only seen 1 (which I had registered, but sadly they have not done anything), incase you have seen others, please drop in comments below.

Now, I know it is not a good place to stand up as a hero, as we all know Nigeria's case. But this is a fight we all must be involved in, to save the helpless, please be encouraged to help with the little knowledge you have.

As philantropists are giving out money, I really wish they can be giving those resources to those who will use the money to save more lives.

we go win.
