Politics / Re: Yes I’m Gay - Bolu Okupe, Son Of Former Presidential Aide Doyin Okupe Says by Johnkuku: 1:19pm On Jan 23, 2021

Yep
Oga you are sick, stop all this word play.Gays are sick the same way guys that practice beastiality or incest are sick. You need help.

Your argument that it's your love life as an adult and you can be with who ever you want because your actions do not affect others does not hold water because it violates our norms and values.

Without norms and cultural values, there is no yard stick to determine what is right or wrong.

With out norms and cultural values, your brother can sleep with a dog or a pig and you should accept him,

Without norms and cultural values your brother and sister can have sex with each other and you should accept them.

I am assuming that you frown at the two scenarios above,if you do and are repulsed at the thoughts of your siblings engaging in these activities, then I hope you see and understand that you need help because that's exactly how we see you-a man sleeping with a man.

Just because it is legal in the west does not make it right.Beastiality and incest are legal in some countries as well,i think incest is legal in France, does that mean we should copy those as well?God forbid

Guy ,you are sick,go and treat your self.

Since you have your own ignorant definition of slavery, I have nothing to say. I am too tired to be dealing with such low level thinking.

Good night

My Friend,as they say the truth is bitter.

Good night

My friend, you are a not using sense at all with your post.

First of all, you never even addressed the wrong in the enslavement of your african brethren by Arabs. You are here talking about Nigerian house girls.

Excuse me, do two wrongs make a right? So because some Nigerians treat their house girls poorly, we Nigerians should not complain about Arabs who enslave Nigerians?

Furthermore, at least the Nigeria police and fellow Nigerians are tackling the maltreatment of house girls on Nigeria. It is not perfect as, there will always be wicked madam's who treat maids poorly but at least we are addressing it unlike the Arabs who are expanding their slavery with slavery apps.

My Friend,

Use your head to think before you jump on a band wagon.I said before charity begins at home.
There was a time where people were able to find house boys and house girls online here in Naija ,I believe it was on OlxIt probably still is.I recall a case of a woman whose child was kidnapped by a house help she found on Olx which led to a lot of outcry.

This post could easily have been written about Nigeria with a caption"Slave trade rampant in Nigeria.70%of Nigerian homes indulge in slave trade"

How is what we practise different from what the Arabs are doing. This post does not mention that these Africans were stolen from their homes in Africa forcefully and shipped to the Arab states.if this post had mentioned that,I would also be livid and incensed. That is my definition of slavery

However,if you used your two left leg to cross border most probably illegally to seek greener pastures and then found the conditions were not to your liking,I'll pity you but I wont consider that as slavery.Yes I agree the Arabs are maltreating this helps/maids but again, how is that different from what we do in Naija to our selves.

Are all these examples of the atrocities carried out by the Arabs listed in this post not happening in our immediate community here in Naija.
1.Exchanging a human being for money
2.over working of helps/maids and not giving time off
3.restricting/denying the maids freedom of movement
4.use of under age individuals for maids/helps
5.sparse feeding of maids/helps while oga's family feeds fat on 3 square meals.

Unlike you I am not sitting on some pedestal and condemning anyone while I am probably also guilty or benefited from "slavery"

I hate hypocrites. So many here complaining and crying about slavery on this post yet almost all of them had a house girl or house boy doing all the chores in thier homes while growing up .

Most (notice I did not say probably) still have maids aka house boy/girl at home that they pay peanuts monthly even as they type their hypocritical comments and condemnations on arabs and thier culture here on this post.Shebi they say charity begins at home?

Women that form feminism and are "fighting for gender equality ".They can't cook for thier husbands but they have house girls/boy who cook ,clean ,wash and look after their homes and children and get rewarded with being sent to poor schools. Some of our Feminists even beat the maids for reasons such as disrespect etc yet preach equality with thier hypocritical mouths.

Abeg every region has thier culture, tradition and values .The concept of house boy /maid has been in Africa even before islam or christianity came here.People will and still do send thier children to live with relatives where these kids are essentially house boys/girls in the name of getting a better life.

Some Nigerians if given the chance will gladly go to these Arab countries to become maids and be transferred from one master to Another in the hope of getting a better life similar to the poor relative who sends his child to the city to essentially become a houseboy/slave in the home of his wealthy relative with the hope of that child getting a better life.
