Please do not blame the Nigerian government Nigerian people are illiterate and stupid they only want to vote for a criminal or wherever they are in the world. all the Industries all the companies Nigerians have chased out of the country all the commercial farms Nigerians have chase out of the country. Look at the billions of US dollar Nigerians are now investing in other African countries and you shall keep quiet the problem in Nigeria is not the government the People's behaviour and their illiteracy. Nigeria will go and vote for a criminal then they want people to invest the same thing with Nigerians in Europe and America

We need government regulations you raised some important points here.

Regulation indispensable to the proper function of economies and societies. They create the “rules of the game” for citizens, business, government and civil society. They underpin markets, protect the rights and safety of citizens and ensure the delivery of public goods and services.
DIGIMARKETER:
I do not have any political affiliation or see myself to belong to any tribe aside simply being a Nigerian so my comment is based on my observation:

In the past 21 years this is the longest i have been in Nigeria as i usually come down for 2 weeks at a time. This time i have been here since the 1st week of October and these are my observations

The market women inflate the price of food if they so much as pay 50 naira extra for transport or 50 naira extra for a particular stock thereby putting the burden on consumers

The Okada riders inflate the fares just because of a 2 naira increase per litre of fuel and charge you 300 naira for a less than a mile journey that uses less than half a litre of fuel especially the Northern ones or maybe they are from chad or Niger as they do not look like the Hausas or Fulanis that i am used to

Accomodation is quite expensive as it cost same as it does in England to live in a service apartment in an area that is not as good as the worst ghetto i have seen in the western world.

Imagine my eye drop that cost 4.99 pounds being sold for 9600 naira and this is prescribed so its important

I can go on and on.... my conclusion in 3 months is the problem with Nigeria is 2% government and 98% Nigerians.

The IMF and World Bank keep deceiving Nigeria government about our economy situation. Sincerely there's nothing left again the country is very sick and need urgent attention now.
dawnomike:
You made a good point... The one that baffles me is that our country is addicted to borrowing. We even take loans to find out federal and states budget. Which generation is to pay back the debt and from which future revenue?
There is a deep problem in this country and I wonder what will become of Naira in 10years from now cry
PoliticsNow That Our Money Is Useless What Next . by johnmartus(op): 9:51pm On Jan 03, 2021
Everything is on high price in the country and if you ask majority of them why they hike price on every products they will tell you naira continue falling to dollar.

5m naira can't be use to do a tangible things before if you have 1m you are a big boy or man but now you will spend it all on drink within 2weeks.

We should stop deceiving ourselves it seems this country is getting spoiling every day...I think the government should dissolve her economic team or whatever they called it and form another team that will have intelligent and technocrats people.

If we continue living like this I'm afraid this country will not survive first quarter of the year.
