Who is talking a fellow greedy called GAZZUZZ... Last year I needed the service of this man to help me inspect a car this guy billed me 130k the car location omole ojodu lagos.
Can you imagine that. Mr man explain why this also expensive or you want to tell me it will take your all days.
GAZZUZZ: To those making noise on this thread, the cost of clearing this car and a 2005 corolla is the same amount.
₦500,000 is the minimum to clear it.
You have to pay shipping of about 1,000 dollars which is about ₦470,000. You also have to pay for the vehicle itself (you do not pick up cars on the streets of Europe)
You have to pay a handler to take it to the port for shipping too.
In all this car will land at more than the quoted price.
The only reason these cars were cheap back in the day, and currently still cheap in the north is because they smuggle them across the border without paying custom duty.
Stop derailing adverts with little or no info about car importation .
Marginalised is only word that igbo folks went to school to study.
Oharina: Everyone knows that there are Igbo communities in Benue, not only were they seperated from their kins in Ebonyi and integrated with Tiv, they are also being marginalised by the Benue state govt. No social amenities, good roads, hospital, school arwarded to them for decades since they were integrated into Benue by the fed govt.
If the new policy not favor them they should relocate to where they don't paying tax.
Bornu1stSon: Ask yourselves how many Shops are owned by an Hausa or Fulani person? I know this new tax rate will be taking more serious on that Igbo businessman than that Kunu or kuli kuli seller shop.
Funny thing is that it always hit back on we Hausas. Igbo man rice importation business was blocked, rice rose from 8000 to 35000. Isn't it foolishness to rejoice when government torment this hardworking people?
Now, wen they pay 20k, won't they simple raise their commodity price? Last last, na still we go pay the tax. Very unfortunate
gidgiddy: The word "Biafra" was never meant to be an Igbo word although I have heard some Igbos interprete it as "Bia- Fara" which roughly translates as 'come together'. Some say the word Biafra is Portuguese, others say it is Ijaw while others say it is from Cameroon. Wherever that word Biafra comes from, all I know is that a group of West Africans led by Lt Colonel Ojukwu once adopted it and declared it the name of their new country
Thats a far cry from "Nigeria", a name a British officers(Lugard) girlfriend gave a group of West Africans and they have been running with that colonial name till date
A bitterness boy like you have nothing to offer nairaland.
Mydn44 Lalasticlala seun.
MajohBankz: Make I tell you one thing for this life, if at the end of your miserable and tormented life you no die because of BIAFRA, then go and re-die because you no die well. You died in vain. If BIAFRA matter no choke you then Ipob go choke you. Werey dey disguise claiming Igbo.
Redcrafton: Igbos left in 1967....to their "landlocked" region
The SW and Arewa fought a brutal war that lasted 3 years....
When they couldn't win the war. Chief Awol from SW advised Gowon form Arewa to block food supplied by World council of Churches, Caritas, Redcross and others...resulting in the death of about 3million people mostly children and women...all to ensure they return to Nigeria including the SW and Arewa north.
Today a jobless clown from SW, wants to know the numbers of the Igbos in those regions
englishmart: The igbos have a population of over 40million people. That's much more than the population of Iraq, Argentina, Algeria, Sudan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, poland, canada, etc.
