yaxeji:
Despite his failing health and political reputation in Nigeria as the national leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), former Lagos State Governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is still being monitored, questioned and interrogated frequently upon arrival in the United States over drug crimes committed in that country.

Tinubu was indicted for Cocaine, Herroine and Gun crimes and forfeited $460,000.00 in the early 1990’s.

CrimeRe: Undergraduate Imprisoned For Defrauding American Lady Of $1,100 by johnmartus(m): 2:51pm On Nov 13, 2014
sCun:
NAN reports that an Ikeja High Court on Thursday sentenced to 30 months imprisonment an undergraduate, Rilwan Adedigba, for defrauding an American woman, Zen Cariboso, of $1,1000 (N176000) dollars through an internet love scam. According to NAN, Justice Kudirat Jose sentenced 26-year-old Adedigba to 30 months imprisonment
after he pleaded guilty to the offences during his re-arraignment. The judge convicted Adedigba, who claimed to be a student of University of Cairo, Egypt, of five counts
of stealing and possession of fraudulent
documents preferred against him. She consequently sentenced him to six months
imprisonment on each of the counts. According to her, the sentence is to run
concurrently beginning from June 8, when he was arrested for the offence. NAN also reports that Jose ordered the convict to refund the 1,100 dollars to the victim as restitution. She also ordered him to forfeit the car he had bought from the proceeds of his crime to the Federal Government of Nigeria. The judge asked Adedigba to write an undertaking to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,
EFCC, to be of good behaviour after his release from prison. According to NAN, the convict had entered a plea bargain agreement with the EFCC. Narrating the facts of the case, the counsel to EFCC, Mrs Olubunmi Bosede, told the court that Adedigba committed the offences on Jan. 30 in Lagos. Bosede said the convict falsely represented to Cariboso that he was Murphy Paul, a white American living in Nigeria, who was in love with her. She said Adedigba used the scam to obtain the money from the woman. NAN reports that the prosecutor said that the offences committed contravened Sections 390 and 318 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

PoliticsRe: The Time Has Come For Nigeria To Divide by johnmartus(m): 11:57am On Nov 12, 2014
laroux:
The wealth of the country are in the hands of a few and tribalism is the order of the day. Nigeria is too big for anyone to handle. How can the South that happens to be the hub of the country be marginalised in the politics of the country? We need to stop pretending and tell ourselves the truth. We can't continue to live as one cos we are mutually compatible. General Ojukwu forsaw these things happening in Nigeria a long time ago and advocated for separation. The Hausas/Fulanis and the yourbas think they own Nigeria and feel it's their birthright to rule Nigeria. That's things are not going on well in this country and it will continue to remain that way if we do not divide. Is it foolish that the national conference wanted to create more states when they've not been able to evenly distribute the country to the states already present. Let's take a cue from Sudan and South Sudan, Serbia and kosovo, India and Pakistan and apply it here in Nigeria. A national conference should be held in other to ask Nigerians if they want to remain as one or divide. Let's get on with the division now. Nigeria is surely going to divide. Maybe not now but someday. My opinion is that we should postponing the evil day and get on to it once and for all.

PoliticsRe: Must The President Pick Up Arms To The Street Of Borno To Prove He Cares? by johnmartus(m): 8:34pm On Nov 11, 2014
Joejonah:
The commander-in-chief of arm forces of nigeria, Dr. Goodluck eblele Jonathan had being tagged incompetent, clueless and incapable of piloting the affairs of the great country, because some group of ungovernable bigots have decided that the only way they could instigate federal tension, is to slaughter the less privileged at the alter of power.

This is because of the crazy reason of the president not being from the north!

The above claim is being tabled by the strongest opposition party (APC), stating that is only a president from their party can cub the current problem nigeria is facing, without stating how their said saviour is going to do it.

Now, must the president pick up guns, bullets, knife and axe into the street of APC governed state that are constantly killing each other, before he can prove to you that he cares??

what happened to the state of emergency ℓ̊n those areas?
and the thousands of soldiers, police...deployed there?

is security, not also the duty of the governor, speakers, local government chairperson, chancellors, village heads and yourself?

what has the gentle lucky calm man done to deserve this hatredhuh?
