Delegates across the country arrived through the
two local airport terminals (MMA1 & MMA2).
Some of the delegates who disembarked at the
Murtala Muhammed Airport were from Kano,
Gombe, Adamawa, Katsina and Kaduna states.
Although, many of them declined to comment on
their expectations on the elections, a few spoke
with our reporter under conditions of anonymity.
A delegate from Kano state said; "I am in Lagos
to vote for Muhammadu Buhari because of his
integrity.
"Buhari has shown that he can develop Nigeria

According to him, although most of his colleagues
would vote for Rabiu Kwankwaso, he will still vote
for Buhari.
Some of the delegates from Katsina state said
they would vote for Buhari, while some of the
Gombe state delegates also said Buhari was their
choice and that they will vote for him.
However, virtually all the delegates interviewed
said that for the progress of the party, they
would be bound by whatever was the outcome of
the election.
They pledged that they would support the
candidate that emerges as the party's
presidential flag bearer at the end of the
convention.
Former head of state Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,
former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Kano state
governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Imo governor Rochas
Okorocha and publishers of Leadership
Newspaper Sam Nda-Isaiah are contesting for the
sole presidential ticket of the party in the 2015
elections.
