Baby Daniel Oyebanjo III aka Daniel D Third, the only child of star singer Dapo Oyebanjo Dbanj, was reportedly playing with a couple of family friends who paid them a visit at their residence in Ikoyi Lagos on Sunday when the boy fell into the pool.

D'Banj's son Daniel Oyebanjo III died after he drowned in a swimming pool at the family residence in Ikoyi.

Here is a photo of D'Banj posing beside the swimming pool in his house. The customized swimming pool has D'banj's signature DB logo engraved at the bottom. The music star had taken to his Instagram page on April 1st to post this photo of himself standing beside the pool.

Days after Nigeria’s legendary reggae singer, Ras Kimono died, it has emerged that during an interview, Ras Kimono gushed that 2018 would be his best year, not knowing that God had other plans.

Ras Kimono died after a brief illness in Lagos on the 10th of June, 2018.



He had collapsed while waiting to board a flight to the United States, on Saturday night at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, .

Ras Kimono was immediately rushed to an unnamed hospital in Ikeja and then taken to another hospital on Lagos Island where he later died on Sunday morning.

The artiste, who was a native of Onicha Olona in the Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, was 60 years old.

In the last chat Ras Kimono had with Saturday Beats few weeks to his death, the reggae star had high hopes for this year.

“This year has been a very wonderful year for me and I know it would be a lovely year for me. Last year was a bit tough but this year would be the best year I have ever had.

Last year, I released two songs, ‘Senseless Killing’ and ‘Blessed Africa’ but if you do not shoot a video, people would not know that you have new music on the airwaves.

I plan to shoot the video. People also believe that compact disc does not sell again but I am from the old school and I believe that it would sell.

My major concern for the music industry is still what I have been shouting about for a long while and it is the condition of artistes in this country. The government is not giving us our due recognition.”

“Reggae music is too hot for the youths to handle because we speak the truth and we speak about the ills in the society.

The youths are afraid to sing about the truth because the government would make sure that the song is banned, the police would hunt the person and politicians would shun them.

Everybody wants to live in highbrow areas like Lekki and Banana Island and if you speak the truth, you would not live in mansions because you would not have enough money to live there.

So, you have to sing about bum bum, gangsterism, sex and all the negativity in the society. That is why people feel reggae is not making an impact; reggae deals with truth and the rights of the people.

I always tell people I am the last man standing. I can face any government and say whatever I have to say because I do not fear anyone except God. Besides, most people who are ruling today are my age mates.

That was why Fela could abuse Obasanjo, Buhari and the like.

Apart from Buhari, I am either the same age or older than the other politicians, so when they do evil, I can speak about it and tongue lash them very well. They cannot kill me. I do not regret sticking to reggae music,” Ras Kimono had said.

The lady who tattooed Davido’s face on her bare chest, Natacha Akide (@SymplyTacha), has been reportedly missing since last week Friday.


This was made known in a Facebook post by Sampson Ladi on her page, Symply Tasha.

Samson Ladi who claimed to be the brother of Natacha Akide reported that she has been missing since she left home on Friday by 10am to her makeup studio. He said all efforts to get through to her has proved futile, and they have not gotten any information on a whereabouts since then.

A Nigerian man, Dickson Nonso Onuchukwu recently paraded by the EFCC as one of the faces behind Swiss Golden International Company, has dragged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Inspector-General of Police (IG) and the Lagos Police Commissioner to court for alleged defamation of character, harassment and unlawful detention.

Onuchukwu is seeking a billion naira as damages from the security agencies.

The commission, which described the online gold networking business as a ponzi scheme, had declared on all its social media handles that the sum of N216 million was recovered from the company following petitions by some Kano residents that they were scammed of their money.

But in a twist of events, Onuchukwu, who said he was first arrested by the EFCC in November at his office (Swiss Golden Africa) in Ikeja, said he had provided documentary evidence to the agency that he was not an affiliate of Swiss Golden International.



He explained that he was also a customer like those complaining that they were defrauded, adding that the difference was that he took the business seriously and had been networking, growing in it.

Onuchukwu said he was harassed, arrested and unlawfully detained by operatives of the Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence (FCIID), Alagbon, Ikoyi, between March 5-6th, 2018 at Area F Ikeja before taken to Alagbon where he bailed himself; the EFCC kano office from November 6 to 17, last year, as well as Zone 2 onikan Lagos on December 4.

According to him, the harassment and arrests violated his rights under Sections 34(1), 35(1) and 41(1) of the 1999 constitution as amended.

Through his counsel, Anthony Omaghomi, Onuchukwu in suit FHCL/CS/679/18 prayed a Federal High Court in Lagos to declare the harassment and arrests he was subjected to by the EFCC and Police as unlawful, illegal, oppressive and unconstitutional,adding that they violated his right to dignity, personal liberty and freedom of movement.

Onuchukwu sought an order of perpetual injunction restraining the respondents from further arrest, detention, harassment, invitation, parade or malicious prosecution with respect to Swiss Golden International especially as regards to any claim or business agreement made directly by anybody or group of persons to the foreign company.

He prayed for a mandatory order compelling EFCC to within 14 days, publish a retraction and an apology of its publication on all its social media pages describing him as a fraudster, which defamed his character and contravened his rights under Section 34(1) of the constitution.

He also prayed the court to nullify EFCC's directive that he reports to their Lagos and Kano offices every month until he produces Max Lobaty, a Russian, who's based in Russia and the representative of Swiss Golden International.

Explaining his relationship with Swiss Golden International, Onuchukwu said he has been a customer for four years and was the second person to discover the online business after his friend Emenike, who registered Swiss Golden Nigeria.

He said: "The Swiss Golden online business has been moving smoothly until some fraudulent Nigerians joined and started creating deceitful strategies to defraud Nigerians for their own selfish gains.

Swissgolden company held an international conference on November 4 and 5, 2017 at Balmoral Event Centre Victoria Island Lagos which was the 2nd Nigerian conference(the 1st conference was held in March 4th-5th ICC CENTRE Abuja), where Max Lobaty and 6 other representatives of Swiss Golden International were around for the conference. Since he was around, I used the opportunity of the event to invite him to my office for me which was intended for publicity, although I have been using the office for several months.

"While we were at the office, operatives of the EFCC Kano came together with FSARS officers to arrest me, Emenike and Lobaty. We were taken to their office in Ikoyi, where they showed us petitions from some Kano registered members of Swiss Golden International and were compelled to put down our statements on the said petitions.

"Note that my name was not mentioned in any of the petitions. The petition was against Swiss Golden International, which I am only a customer of like others. We were detained at the EFCC office that Friday 3rd November 2017 and on Saturday 4th November,2017 I and my friend, Emenike were released after we provided sureties.

"We were asked to report to the Kano office on November 6, bit Lobaty was whisked to Kano by the officers. As instructed, we got to Kano that day and my statement was taken again. Despite the pressures, I told them repeatedly and wrote it in my statement that there was no link between my company and Swiss Golden International. That company had no member in my board of directors and I am not in theirs."

Continuing, Onuchukwu said despite his explanations and all the evidence he provided to show that Swiss Golden Africa was his own business name, the operatives said he was a fraudster and that they were running a ponzi scheme.

He said they were told that their names and pictures would be published for Nigerians to see what they were doing.

“They took pictures of us with a plague inscribed "I am a fraudster” and some other derogatory words on it. EFCC also released a statement on their social media pages with this caption "EFCC recovers N216m from Swiss Golden."

"I and Augustine Emenike were detained in Kano for 12 days while Mr. Max Lobaty was detained for 14 days. The officers of EFCC Kano refused to release us and insisted that they will only release us when Swiss Golden Company paid 100% cash refund to the petitioners.

"The Swiss Golden International Company went out of their way and their terms and conditions to pay the sum of N216,000,000 (Two) in bits into an account provided by EFCC, after which we were released.

"On November 17, 2017, a police invitation letter was brought to my office from Zone II, CIID, Onikan while I was still in detention in Kano. They requested for my presence concerning a case involving Swiss Golden Company. "Then, invitation letters started pouring in from everywhere. There was a police invitation letter from FCIID Alagbon, Ikoyi dated November 30, 2017, for a case of conspiracy and attempt to kidnap. "On reaching the Police station at Alagbon on December 4, 2017, I saw a letter of a petitioner, who claimed that someone did Swiss Golden business for her the wrong way of which I knew nothing about and had no links with.

"On December 15, 2017, there was another police invitation letter from Oyo State Command requesting my presence for a case that had to do with Swiss Golden Company. I was visited the next week by two policemen who said there were from CIID Abuja and were sent to arrest me for a case that has to do with Swiss Golden International.

"They stayed in my office for over four hours and refused to leave until they arrested me or one of my staff. The policemen still call me till date pressuring me to come to Abuja. On January 8, 2018, I received another police invitation letter from CIID Yaba for a case of obtaining money by false pretence, which I had nothing to do with and I also do not know the petitioners in that case.

"I also received a letter of invitation from EFCC Lagos to come to their office on January 29, for a case that had to do with Swiss Golden International. On February 2, I received yet another letter from EFCC CTGI department Ikoyi, Lagos, inviting me on February 12, for a case that has to do with Swiss Golden International in which my lawyer represented me.

"Again, I was asked by EFCC CTGI Lagos to report on February 22, the same day the EFCC Kano also invited me for a meeting. I could not make either of the meetings because I was ill and so, my lawyer informed them and asked for another date.

"On March 6, I received another invitation letter from FCIID Alagbon requesting that I be in their office on March 8,my lawyer rescheduled for the next week being March 12th 2018 in connection with a case of a Nigerian customer of Swiss Golden International. During this period, I had reported back to EFCC Kano with my surety and the officers said there were more petitions against Swiss Golden International to the tune of N3billion.

"They said before they released the Russian, Lobaty, Swiss Golden International entered into agreement with them that they will pay whenever there was a genuine petition but that they no longer respond to their mails and for that reason, they will hold me until the money was paid.

"This scared my surety and he backed out. Then, I was detained again for three days until I got another surety, provided the CAC documents and house address of a relative to stand alongside my surety.

"I was released on March 16, and on March 28, I received another police invitation letter from Zone Five Headquarters, Benin-City for a case of conspiracy, fraud and conduct likely to cause breach of peace all still related to Swiss Golden International. I had a suit then which my manager presented to them... I became frustrated by the relentless harassment from security agencies and instructed my lawyer to file a suit against them."

Layla Amanii, Teddy A's baby mama is from Morrocco.

Before Teddy got into the Big Brother Naija show, he said he considers his high points to be when his son was born and getting his recording contract.

Also during the Big Brother Naija show, Teddy A’s babymama, Layla Amani, rooted for him a lot of times. and revealed how much of a great dad Teddy A is.

Nigerian music producer, Osabuohien Osaretin aka Sarz has publicly shamed music producer and singer, Solomon Oyeniyi, aka K-Solo.

Sarz announced on Twitter that K-Solo is irrelevant in the music industry and he wouldn't want any part of it to stain him.



Trouble started after the just concluded 12th edition of the Headies awards ceremony which held May 5, 2018 at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island Lagos.

Nina and BBNaija 2018 winner Miracle just touched down in Imo state where Miracle, Imo State’s Education Ambassador, will be honoured today.

Nina got mobbed by fans struggling to take selfies with her.

The Rochas Okorocha led Imo State government on Tuesday named Miracle Igbokwe, the winner of the 2018 Big Brother Naija show, the state’s Education Ambassador.

Miracle will be received by the state government at the Imo International Conference Centre in Owerri today, Thursday.

According to a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, Hon. Chukwunoye Irouno, a motorcade will convey Miracle Igbokwe from the Sam Mbakwe Airport round Owerri metropolis before the commencement of the event

The statement said:

“The reception will witness the investiture of Igbokwe as Education Ambassador of Imo State by Governor Rochas Okorocha.

“The state government has set aside Thursday, May 3, to celebrate Mr. Miracle Igbokwe, who strongly believes in free education which is the most cardinal policy of the Rescue Mission Government of Governor Rochas Okorocha.”

“Igbokwe who was credited as the best behaved contestant was popular with his promotion of Governor Rochas Okorocha’s free education policy in Imo State and was so patriotic about it.

“He confessed it publicly during a debate presentation where he said ‘I believe in education just like my Governor Rochas Okorocha.’

Due to this single display of true patriotism, the state government honoured him as Imo Education Ambassador.”

A Nigerian Facebook user, Mr Prince Gwamnishu Harrison has been exposed after he allegedly swindled scores of unsuspecting Nigerian Facebook users of millions of naira for an urgent fake kidney disease and kidney transplant

The controversy began 30th of March, 2018 when Prince Gwamnishu Harrison announced he had been diagnosed of a kidney disease and needed N7million to have a transplant surgery.

The post he made on Facebook which also had his account number, touched unsuspecting members of the public and they immediately started making donations to Prince Gwamnishu Harrison's bank account.

Again, because Prince Gwamnishu Harrison was popular and known as an 'activist' on Facebook, some Facebook influencers joined his campaign and helped solicit funds for him.

Not until Prince Gwamnishu Harrison was offered an opportunity to run a test to really confirm his need for the transplant and he was asked to provide previous medical reports and he refused, did his story become suspicious.

Few days later, the truth that it was all fake emerged as those who claimed Prince Gwamnishu Harrison duped them came out to reveal his dealings.

It was claimed Prince Gwamnishu Harrison came up with the kidney disease and yrgent transplant to dupe Nigerians on Facebook.

Mr Prince Gwamnishu Harrison on Thursday Night, an Apology and admittance of guilt was the last Post of his wall .

APOLOGY FROM MY SICK BED
For the past weeks, I have been a subjected matter of intense criticism, condemnation and attacks from friends, foes and online community.

The issues that generated this attacks on my person came from a seemingly ignorant claim I made regarding my health status. I had made claims that I was suffering from end stage kidney failure.

My claims was from the limit of my ignorance about medical matters. I was indeed diagnosed with a kidney infection. In my panic and complete hysteria, I concluded I was dying and that my kidney was packing up. I have lived my life so far on social media. The bulk of my friends are on social media. Out of fear and desperation for help, I cried out to my friends on social media.

My claims may have been exaggerated. But as at the time I was making the claims, I had in all sincerity believed in the correctness of my claims. I am NOT a fraudster. I apologise to all my fans, supporters and friends for my error of judgement.

Everyone makes mistakes in life. I have made mine. But I do not want to continue to pay for them for the rest of my lives.

Sometimes good people make bad choices, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad people. It just means they are human…!

A Final-year secondary school student in Ghana has met her untimely death after she got burnt during prayers at a church to aid her pass successfully the ongoing WASSCE exams 

18-year-old Efua Asantewaa, a General Arts student of the Mozano Senior High School in the Central Region Portia Donkor, was taken to the church by her mother only for things to go sour for the girl.

Efua Eguama, 45, the Prophetess and leader of the African Faith Church church at Breman Bedum whose church the girl’s family had visited is said to have poured oil on the girl in the course of the church service

She is said to have lit a candle and given to the girl to hold as part of the fortification process to help her pass the WASSCE exams.

Unfortunately, the cloths on the student caught fire in the process, causing her to suffer severe burns.

18-year-old Efua Asantewaa had to be sent to the Breman Asikuma hospital as the fire could not be readily quenched. She was later transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching hospital where she passed on.

Ghana police have since arrested the said prophetess and she would be arraigned before a court on Monday on the provisional charge of murder.

Starr News’ Central regional correspondent Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour says the Breman Asikuma District Police Commander ASP Emmanuel Donkor Baah confirmed the story to them.

Award-winning singer, Mr Innocent Idibia, AKA Tuface Idibia is set to run for a political office. While speaking with newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos, the singer and songwriter said it is about time good people intervened in Nigeria’s politics.

According to reports reaching Lailasnews.com. He, however, did not reveal under which political platform and at what level he would be seeking to actualise his political aspiration.

Nonetheless, Mr Tuface Idibia said he was interested in affecting lives positively and would soon pick up the challenge of a political position. He also urged youths to get more involved politically P.M News reported.

“Politics affects everything I do. So, I am definitely going to be interested in politics. I will soon participate as a contestant and speak the truth at all times.

Also, Tuface Idibia called on Nigerians to come to the aid of victims of the herdsmen and farmers clashes.

Meet Veso Golden Oke, a Nigerian transgender living in Ghana.

This beautiful lady pictured above used to be a man. Then he was known as Messiah Oke Veso, born to a Nigerian father and Ghanaian mother, into an Anglican family.

Not until he left Nigeria in 2014 and transformed into a transgender, now known as Veso Golden Oke.

Talking about her transition in a new interview, Veso Golden refused to accept he was born a male. According to him, he was born as a young child with male genitals and the doctor announced to her mother that she was male.

But growing up, she realized she wasn't fitting into the body she had and it was traumatizing. Until she discovered transitioning through an ex-girlfriend she was dating at the time.

Golden Veso also said she had dated girls before becoming a transgender because she thought using her penis, having sex with different girls will kill the feminine side of him. 'Unfortunately', it never worked.

Golden Veso hasn't undergone surgery to remove her penis yet but she hopes to do that in the future and real soon.

In the meantime, she takes hormone pills to naturally grow boobs just as women, grow hips, grow butts, get slimmer stomach and waistline. She's also taken testosterone blockers that shrink her penis.

When asked if she has a boyfriend, Golden Veso said she's single at the moment but looks forward to having one in the future. She also state that she's not gay, despite the fact that she's drawn to men!

Veso says since she started her hormone pills, she gets sexual urges like women do and reaches orgasms like woman do. She no longer gets erections like men do.

About how supportive her family was and has been through her transitioning process, Veso Golden said her family has been supportive.

In fact, Veso Golden fled Nigeria to Ghana, on his mother's advice and total support, to prevent harrassment and the 14 year jail term after former president Goodluck Jonathan signed the Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill (SSMPA) into law in 2014.

A Nigerian lady Ruti Olajugbagbe has won the 2018 edition of The Voice UK.

18-year-old Ruti Olajugbagbe was crowned the winner of The Voice 2018 on Saturday night beating runner-up Donel Mangena.

Ruti broke down in tears after host Emma Willis announced her as the winner, with her coach Sir Tom Jones gushing earlier in the show that is a ‘wonderful, magical, sincere’ singer.

Speaking after her victory Ruti said:
