Wijnaldum, I doubt has any assist this season but is definitely one of the shining lights of the midfield game in football. No top coach will keep Kovacic on the bench for Fabregas. Fabregas is a king in the past. Today, Kovacic is miles ahead of him.

Miles ahead of him in what, you talk about intelligence but aside Ozil, I don't know any other midfielder that plays with his brain more than fabregas. You talk about reading the plays of opponents, does kovacic do that better than Fabregas? I can't remember how many times Chelsea were either drawing or losing a match and fabregas just enters and deliver a wonderful pass that turns the game around almost immediately, before you know it he has made a wonderful assist and everyone will be screaming Fabrepass. Kovacic is ahead of Fabregas today because Fabregas left Chelsea while he was there, If Fabregas goes to an all out attacking team like barca, PSG, Liverpool, man city, or even arsenal, he will perform like a King that he is, and that kovacic is performing now doesn't make him a fantastic player, he is still very average and never compare him with someone that has been to the top. I can't believe this kovacic couldn't fight for shirt in Madrid midfield whereas Fabregas became a starter in Barcelona's deadly midfield of 2010/11

Are you sure you have watched Kovacic at all? He has been brilliant for Chelsea. Definitely one of their stand out players. Fabregas is no where close to Kovacic in quality. Very poor comparison.

If sarri was attacking you would see fabregas, fabregas has shown that he is not average, he has performed at the top top level, that I cannot say of kovacic, kovacic is only doing well because Chelsea are not attacking, they are playing possession game, now tell me, how many assists has kovacic registered this season. What Chelsea need is a midfielder that can create chances, they had that in fabregas but I don't know why a manager that claim to be attacking would neglect fabregas. Kovacic, Kante and jorginho are all poor when it comes to creating chances and giving assists. Get a more attacking midfielder and the goals will come. Liverpool's firminho doesn't deliver good number of goals but their style of play brings goals every now and then for them.
