awelekiti: You're entitled to your opinion. As you know, I don't care about your criticisms. This isn't your first time and all I've been doing all along is ignore you but at this time, I think it's important I react. If I was an agent, I wouldn't be offering assistance for free, with detailed explanations. This is what I enjoy doing, at my leisure...to assist here. I don't need anybody's favour ok? I'm comfortable the way I am and I bless God for that. If you lack knowledge, why not ask instead of attacking? It's your business whatever your opinion is. You're only attacking blindly. For the info I got...UK doesn't stamp passports anymore, same with canada. Go and ask anybody who had been rejected CIC and UK visa in recent times if in doubt. In December 2015, I know of a neighbour who applied to US and came back with his passport stamped. That was what I based my opinion on. If you're not comfortable with my contribution here, you can always keep quiet. I won't bother respond to your subsequent rants. LMAO!!!!! laff has killed me oh!!! |

awelekiti: Nothing to panic about. You'll get your passport back in 2 weeks' time, hopefully. I've done my own survey on NL fellas, who had applied via paper route in-here. The applicant with the longest processing time got his/her passport back in the 8th week. Concerning virgin passport, it doesn't really matter. I got my first US visa in 2004 on a virgin passport. My cousin, also got his TRV on a virgin passport recently. He applied to attend an education fair. If your documents are in line with CIC requirements and genuine...and you can prove your ties to CIC beyond doubts (with your documents), you'll get your visa. Please buttress it with prayers too, I'm sorry for being religious here but it's always worked for me. . okay thanks a lot |

awelekiti: Interesting! It doesn't matter if you have travel history or not. What matters is the genuiness of your mission. With all you've stated, I think you're in order. After all, I got my very first visa years ago on a virgin passport, same with my friend. I wish you the best and pls, have faith in God. Thanks |

awelekiti: The amount to be indicated on the form doesn't usually include your flight details. It's the amount you intend to spend while in canada which includes the aforementioned, except the amount for your flight ticket . Have your sister do a separate letter, where she'll state clearly state that she's the one who will sponsor you and that air fare will be taken care of, by her the moment your visa is approved and the airfare doesn't include the amount you'd take along to Canada either as PTA or BTA (if you're travelling for business). On the application form, you may state 2,500USD or 3,000CAD or whichever you prefer. This should suffice for 5 days. Please go to booking.com to get a very cheap hotel rate (less than 100USD)within the venue of the conference. Also on the flight reservation, make sure no amount is indicated. I always advise people to visit a travel agent to get flight reservation because it will not show any amount. It will only contain your flight itinerary to and from destination. The embassy recognises this a lot. It's free of charge. Finally, apply via a paper route as online application could take forever to process. Good luck! thanks a lot bro. God bless. |

good day pals, please one last question before I round up my application. so I wanna apply for a visit visa, my aim of going to Canada is for an educational conference. its a 3 days conference and I'm gonna spend four nights in the hotel and return a day after the conference. CIC is asking me on the application form how much I wanna spend for the my trip ( this includes hotel accommodation, round flight and feeding) for my 5 days in Canada. my aunty is my sponsor and she has about 4 million in her statement of account, but they want to know how much I have budgeted for the trip, what should I say? |

awelekiti: Does the educational conference coincide with your school's semester break? This is very important because you cannot travel for a conference whilst your school is still in session. On travel history, this does not really count . I got my first USA Visa on a virgin passport in 2004, contrary to what my friends told me then, that I must visit Ghana, south africa, kenya , etc to prove to the VO that I had travel experience to boost my chance of getting a visa. Funny enough, I had not been to ordinary cotonou before that time. I got the visitor visa on my very first passport. What you need is a TRV(Temporary Resident Visa). Please look up the requirements in previous comments on this thread to see the list of documents you might need for your visa application. You my also visit the canadian embassy's website for details. It's not even compulsory that you pay for the conference in advance, an invitation letter and the registration details would have been enough, since you have not been granted the visa. I hope this heklps. Good luck . yes the conference coincides with the semester break, and thanks a lot |
