There have been cases of churches inviting popular Nollywood actors and musicians to spice up the level of attendance at major church events.

These celebrities have their pictures included on the posters and handbills advertising the church programmes and according to reports, the strategy has proven to be effective.

Actress, Patience Ozokwor was used as guest artist in one of the new generation churches last month. This raised rumours that she was set to become a pastor. Nollywood comedian, Bishop Umeh popularly known as Okon has also been invited as guest artist in a 2-day revival ministration in a church in Ebonyi State.


This week, Osita Iheme (pawpaw), whose posters are all over Abakaliki is expected to show up at King Power Assembly Church where he has been invited as a guest artiste for an upcoming revival programme.
