I cut another one and at some point the owner came out ( she looked like my friend) and jokingly discharged me from cutting more, at the point the were few sugarcanes left on the branch. We both laughed at my jokes and left.

Good morning. I had a dream. I dreamt I did wedding in the church, though I wasn't putting on suit, nor my was was putting on a wedding gown, and it was officiated by one of the revered pastor in my church not the senior pastor. The part that got me worried when I woke up was that the person I got married to in the dream was not my fiancee physically but a church member whom I know quiet well. After the declaration of the wedding and everything, the pastor then said you may kiss the bride and then I hold her tightly and kissed her, she was so happy and even fell to the ground and then I raised her up, everyone was there and cheered us on. For days now dru23 have been preaching about customer's relationship, and that remind me of the story JohnWell put here about approach, humility and appearance.

I don't do bolt but severally I've heard of complaints here concerning the app misbehaving, if he encountered any problem he should've politely explain it to the rider.

Last Wednesday I was with a friend that booked a trip on bolt for his mom, when his mom arrived her destination the driver told her that her bill is 2000 and she paid. As soon as she called the son to inform her arrival the guy checked the bill it was 1200, the driver over billed the old woman.

He was lucky the guy ignored it and said after all 800 box won't prosper him.

And as for the "Mega offline trips" what matters is your apperance, state of your car, year of your car and model of your car. Thats all that matters. Rider: What kind of stuppid questions are these? Oga please hurry because am late. I don't have time to answer nonsense.

Rider: Why are you not on your way yet? Oga am tired of these nonsense from you drivers. Am very late for church. 2 drivers have cancelled on me and I will be very angry with you if you cancel.

Me: Madam is that a threat? Hope you know this is my car right and am not your personal driver? You must behave well mannered if you want this ride to happen. Be courteous of your next words because you lack courtesy.

Rider: You must be very stuppid for implying I lack manners.

Me: Hello Madam. Good afternoon. You requested for Uber. Are you at 51b blah blah blah Lekky county homes and where are you heading to

Rider: Hello sir. Good afternoon. Please am heading just close by to buy food. Please don't cancel on me as many drivers have cancelled. Am really hungry. Please will you come?

Me: Am on my way ma.

After Trip, Uber said I should collect 330. Seems she is on small bonus. Madam gave me 400. I told her to keep it coz I wanted her to eat more.

Its my car after all and I can decide who to give free ride or not.


MORAL OF STORY

Ehailing in Nigeria is more of survival. You can be nice and die there being nice. Nobody really gives a fucck about you in this country especially in a cosmopolitan city like Lagos where everybody is mad and angry.

Nigerians are highly exploitative. Most of them that are nice to you is because they are already scheming on how to use you for one ulterior motive or the other. You mentioned he was asking the driver if he was married. What has that question got to do with anything?

In fact to me, that driver is very stuppid for entering the woman's house after the job. What if she accuse him of rape? What if she is a human parts dealer or a drug trafficker? You mentioned Anambra. Am from Ananmbra and am not trying to stereotype. But what if that woman was already seeing the young man as a conduit for drugs to Indonesia or Thailand? So many what ifs!

As far as am concerned, my work with you ends immediately I drop you. Infact, I clear call log after every trip to avoid temptation of calling you back or "keeping in touch".

In summary sir, Being nice in the face of obvious hostility can cost you your life in Lagos or elsewhere in Nigeria. This is not Europe. Things can escalate pretty quickly if you don't act smart.

By the way if I may ask, Dru23 that has been saying things about being enduring and humble in the Service industry in order to become a boss... What has he achieved with his live aside retailing Mobil oil and arguing with people on Nairaland?

There's one that took my boss wife from international airport to Lekki, the guy clean up (nice face cap, white shirt, blue jean and a good canvas).
the woman was boiling because my boss kept her waiting for long (more than 3 hours) before I get there. The woman poured all her anger on the guy, I was just watching them, the slightest thing the woman will yell at the young man and all the guy will say is I'M SORRY MA. Me I was tired because from airport to Lekki was abuse upon abuse.

When we get home, the same guy asked me not to bother that he will offload the luggages, which he did to their flat (third floor).

After everything the woman asked him to come into the sitting room, offer him a seat.

She introduced herself to him (she's a nurse in Canada) then ask the driver if he is married and he said no.
The woman said that he is a good man with a good business mindset and a charming appearance.

To summarize the story, she gave the guy 10k for that trip
- she asked him to take her to Anambra the next day (drop off), after three days he went back for her (with her Range R)
- the three weeks vacation she came in Nigeria, its that guy that was her driver and he was earning 10k daily driving Range Rover around Lekki/Ikoyi. One or two trips a day.
- even when she travelled back she still call the guy and sent him some errands in Lagos/Anambra with good pay.
- they became best friends, she sits in front not behind when I asked her why she said the guy dress well and speaks good English.
- she introduced her to her friends, even my boss use the guy as well.

I asked the guy why he didn't abuse the woman, he said he's out there to make legitimate money, so anything that comes he endures, he's after the money not the insult, after all we no go see again, except by chance.

Appearance, Endurance and Approach gives you mega offline trips, you don't have to ask, it comes automatically (according to the driver)

I did something I really regret. My wife and I have an amazing marriage, 2 years of marriage and we are blessed with a 7-month-old baby girl.

She is 28 and I almost 33. Last Saturday I got invited to go out by some of my work friends , I got home late 2am, so madam wasn't happy. She was yelling at me, throwing hands and screaming at me. I feel so ashamed and I've never done anything like this before and I never thought I would. I don't want to loose my wife and baby. I need both of them back. Should I attempt to contact her?

There's no need blaming you, the deed has been done, learn from your mistake.
Is your wife a nagging type?

If I were you, I would ignore my wife and her mother, at least you apologize in their presence. Maybe she's her role model. Is your father Inlaw alive? Is he still with your mother Inlaw?

Ignore your wife and her mom, find a way and contact her brother that came with them and hear what your wife told them. Plead with the guy. If that guy didn't say anything when they came and if after contacting him he still refer you to her mom then know that your mother Inlaw is a big time manipulator.

It's unfortunate that they have drawn a battle line in your home.

I know I'm going to receive a lot of bashing here but I don't mind as I'm looking for solution. I've been following other related threads on the topic and it seems most men don't forgive women that cheated on them.

I cheated on my man. This happened over a year ago when the relationship was going through a rough patch. Actually I didn't set out to cheat and never planned it.

In fact the person it happened with was a person I was confiding in when I was trying to get solutions to my relationship issues.

This person was my married colleague that I joined to work in his car. I thought I could get mature advice by telling him. I was weak and emotionally down and on one of such days of crying to him it happened in his car.

It happened like 3 more times because I go to work with him and come back with him. But I was overcome with guilt (because he was married and for cheating) that I had to stop. But my mistake was that I didn't cut him off completely.

I remained cordial friends with him since he is a colleague and I stopped joining his car. He also moved to another branch. He called occasionally to try his luck but I never gave in. Somehow my man became suspicious by his calls and one thing led to the other and I had to confess.

My man said he has forgiven but can't get back together again. I have been following other threads with similar topics and I saw that men find it very hard to forgive a woman that once cheated.

In this case I'm truly sorry, I have learnt my lessons and I can never make that kind of mistake again. I don't love the man in question, I never wanted anything from him apart from advice from the onset, I stopped on my own, I only remained friends because he was my colleague. I love my man and will do anything to keep him and win his trust back. I'm not a cheat by nature.

I'm heartbroken and filled with guilt and regret. I can't talk to anyone in my circle for fear of condemnation because I'm wrong in every area.

Please is there any hope for me? How do I go about winning him back? How do I convince him that I truly regret my actions? How do I help him heal?

The process of cheating is too long to be a mistake.
