What have you offered the said man? It takes two to tango. What stopped you from calling him? Why would I offer anything to someone who only knows I exist when am done with school or sometimes during long breaks |

In one fit, you say he's stingy...next thing you say it's not about money
You say the man will show up when things are rosy with the student? When have ever been rosy with female Nigerian undergraduate students? They are always hungry and in need of help...Reason why they are easy prey for game boys if you say the reason for the halt in communication whenever am in school is actually because he doesn't want to spend, then I am left with no choice than to call him a stingy man. |

Why do you even want him to sow? So that he will start rubbing shoulders with your father tomorrow? Hian, no try am o!!
Nnem, face your schooling. Your parents shoukd do the sowing. "sow" does not necessarily mean money, even a call would have meant a lot. |

That man is a smart man. No sane man with self esteem, wastes precious time on a young, naive girl while she's still on campus where you will bombard him with your problems and he can't even see or be sure of what you're up to.
His best is to wait till you're on holiday when he can see you.
well you see it as being smart, but I see it as being foolish and stingy. I would be done with school in weeks time, and am ending all communication this time around. How do you even call someone who can't be there for someone he claims to love when she really needs it but would only show up when things are rosy smart He wants to reap where he has not sown! You guys think everything is all about money........the truth is most times its not!!! 2 Likes 1 Share |

So all the ones you've been reading from page 1 to here still doesn't make sense to you?
For a guy to be sending money, paying school fees etc,you think he doesn't communicate with her?
Even the ones that plan to marry her immediately after school?
Madam you no get talk. the way you guys talk makes me wonder the km and of girls you meet and where you meet them. Talk about the ones you've met........stop generalizing Mr |

Toks2008: I have read several comments here and there seem to be a common denominator.
The problem is not really the students but it is the men who are kinda too expectant.
When you spend for a student just do it from your heart without expecting any form of reward in terms of romantic commitment...just be happy whilst it lasts..if she turns out to be a loyal babe, fine and if not just smile and move on.
And btw, not all of them are like that...i know some real decent and well trained female undergraduates. you make sense especially in the last paragraph. Imagine a guy who will never call you when you are in school, but will want to hang out with you during holidays and bring marriage talks. And once holiday is over, communication ends. A guy who will chat you up once in a blue moon and only concerned about when you will be done with school. It doesn't just make any sense 2 Likes |

Please bro/sis I will advise you never to make the mistake of PGD else you will regret ever wasting money and time in a certificate that doesn't add value to Nigeria labour market.
My advice is this, if the purpose for the PGD is to job hunting then I beg you in the name of God quash that plan and go for direct entry. Pay the price and thank me later
If your intention is to travel abroad for master and migration then you can go for PGD and thereafter use it for your masters abroad
Final warning don't go for PGD. Go for direct entry for a Bsc Thanks for the advice! my intention is to further (masters and PHD) and you know as an HND holder its important I do PGD if I must do masters. |

Lol baby, its just a little sacrifice. The prestige and lots of money that comes with the profession far outweighs the sacrifice. Well, to answer your question, I would say programming is not too demanding irrespective of the gender. Do you calculate the number of hours you spend on Candy crush, Angry Birds, Ludo, Facebook, instagram etc? All you need to do is reschedule your routine and channel your energy into coding, its not difficult at all. I recommend you start learning HTML so you can see how easy it is to get along. Thanks a lot! |

Web development is great! I started learning web development in my 300L and now I'm a Senior developer. Im now 25, studied a science course. I started HTML/CSS when I was 18/19. It requires a minimum of 2years of learning before you are regarded as a Junior developer. You can start learning in this order: HTML -> CSS -> JavaScript -> PHP or Python or Perl -> Frameworks e.g Django, Laveral -> React -> content management system e.g WordPress....... And the list continues.
Infact, as a developer, you are expected to learn on the job Concerning people who are advising you to go for Fashion design, well, I have good news for you: you can combine both! Finally, I would advice that since you already developed interest in web programming, don't let it down for anything! You can always combine web development with whatever career or Job you do.
If I was less busy I would have invited you to whatsapp so we can chat. Do you think its too demanding/difficult for a female? |

Start with HTML/HTML 5 and CSS/CS3 THEN EITHER BOOTSTRAP AND SASS (BOTH OF THESE ARE OPTIONAL: USED BY UX/UI DESIGNERS) OR YOU GO DIRECTLY TO JAVASCRIPT AND PHP... THEN MYSQL AND PYTHON BY THE TIME YOU COMPLETE THESE AND KNOW THEIR LIBRARIES UR ALREADY A FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPER..... Start with an Android app called web development... It's free on play store the icon is blue with a PC drawn on it...... Then when you have enough data start downloading YouTube videos....
Search for it by the name then put course at the end for best results.... Example "complete HTML course" Use youtubeGo app..... If you use normal YouTube app.... It will consume more data but the courses will be broken down into parts..... But youtubeGo will put everything in one video and it will be like 400mb highest for 4hrs video sometimes even less Wow.....Thank you! please is there any basic computer knowledge I need to have before taking up the HTML course |

thariodamaniac: Programming is a process not a skill.... Web development, app development expertise are skills..,..... Define what you want... Don't be too vague.... In computer programming skill types we have.... Web design and development (my area)
App development
Cybersecurity (what I hope to attain after uni.... Next 2 yrs by God's grace)
Data science (I should be here considering am an Economics student)
UX/UI designers(creative designers for web and app developers)
Cloud computing (not very useful in Nigeria but wonderful abroad)
Machine learning and artificial intelligence ( still upcoming not fully developed and takes extensive knowledge) Programming is fun once you get the hang of it....... I won't advise you take a course you don't like for the sake of getting money quick Am actually interested in Web design. Please what are the basic things to start with? |

Blazinglevel: you can be guided by interactive books and videos on youtube and many online forum offers assistance when you are stuck.any question you have or any glitch you experience have been faced by someother programmer so you have an avalanche of resources at your disposal.just google any querry and objectively sifter through the tons of material available. Many other programmers love seeing people make an effort and would be glad to help both for free and others for a fee.many people choose to opt for a fee. While i cant fault their choice,i do not see why you cant begin even the basics by yourself. Remember knowledge is built a priori that is from known to unknown. Start with the basics first and then ask questions along the way. Whats your location wow! this really helped........Thank you. Lagos |

Blazinglevel: you are right. I know several guys that are self taught and they did not spend much. They have lots of materials and videos but they devote their time. You learn more by lots of practice and project creation. You may pay for some stuff though but its all on you to develop yourself Is it something one can learn without being guided. |
