The Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad has declared singer, Burna Boy wanted for the robbery and assault on Mr. 2Kay at Eko Hotel in Lagos on Sunday, October 22, 2017.

In a press briefing held today, Monday, November 20, 2017, at the Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgar paraded four suspects including Burna Boy's road manager before media men and confirmed that they confessed to the crime and mentioned Burna Boy as the brain behind the crime. The commissioner said the suspects confessed that Burna Boy paid them 50k (Fifty thousand Naira) before the operation and 50k (after the operation).

Edgar during his statement declared Burna Boy wanted saying, "I advise Damini Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy to report himself to the nearest police station as soon as possible."

The Police boss added that a certain AK was also involved in the robbery and is currently at large.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy who was slated to perform at Phynofest over the weekend was not available for the show because he got a hint and has gone into hiding already.

Mr. 2Kay is yet to make any statement since the robbery incident rather he released a new song titled, "Prayer for me" two weeks ago

Yesterday’s story was headlined “Ambush” by a close source. Today, the real story has been revealed by Arinze Baba himself.


According to the prominent comedian, on his way back from a show at Enugu his vehicle met serious traffic jam which was caused by a certain Police checkpoint and every road user was eager to get upfront as quickly as possible.

In an attempt to get in front, the driver of a certain Toyota Sequoia jeep with transparent front window and tinted back window ordered Arinze Baba’s vehicle to let them get in front, but Arinze Baba not knowing the tinted window abstracted 2 Soldiers, said “Why? We want to get off the traffic jam too”

Immediately after that the two soldiers jumped down and started whipping Arinze Baba with a koboko, told him to get down and started hitting him with their guns until he got injured. All these happened for over one hour but came to an end when the two soldiers saw a military van coming from a distance.



They, according to Arinze Baba also threatened to shoot anyone who tries to take any picture of the incident. The reason why Arinze Baba was unable to identify the soldiers and their plate number.

This is one other military brutality on civilians.
