Mtchhhhwwwww, why can't you stay in Nigeria and make the money you are now spending in Nigeria, why did you have to go to America and make money, it funny how people who spend their youthful life in a sane country, come here to talk thrash of the country that gave them a better edge in life, it just funny...

Selfish and greedy set of people
Hey, how I'm selfish and greedy? Is it because we are family and i don't want you to succeed in life or i took money from your family? Please explain it to me. Thanks.

Hey,don't try to insult people, I'm just trying to tell you the reality of life in U.S. Nobody gave me anything in U.S. i worked very hard for it and i believe if i didn't travel to U.S. i will still make it Nigeria. You probably will not understand where I'm coming from but with time you will appreciate my fatherly advice.
If insecurity and crime is the main reason why you are leaving Nigeria then you need to have your priorities reordered.

Although the crime rate in Canada is relatively lower than what you have in the US.It is quite high.(See https://www.statista.com/topics/2814/crime-in-canada/
Also due to the accessibility of guns and ammunition in the developed countries, you are more likely to be involved in a gun related crime more than in Nigeria.

Radicals and mentally unhinged individuals with access to weapon abounds in the developed countries and even children in schools are not safe from their onslaught.

Should we talk about the system in most developed countries that only ensures that you live relatively ok but makes sure that you are confined to your income bracket.Once you lose your job for any reason you are sure to loose your health insurance, car payments, mortgage payment etc are threatened. You cant afford healthcare without insurance.Just to expensive. You could also end up being homeless. Just google about the high rate of homelessness in most developed cities.

The system doesn't show mercy. Tax is high. You will work your self to the bone to survive. Most people abroad are one paycheck away from bankruptcy.

Listen man. Those days when traveling abroad was a ticket to the easy life of bliss are gone.Ask people who live there the hard questions. They would tell you.

Envy is everywhere.Racism is real and the effects are felt only in the civilized countries. An immigrant is seen as a third class citizen.A Nigerian immigrant is worse. You have to do more than the rest to prove your self.It takes a toll.

My take.Nigeria offers so much if you think outside the box. There has been poor people since independence. Always would be.Even if you have money you can be fine.Live close to people who have money.Pay for gated communities with adequate security. Limit your friends and associates. Keep your own company.Stop showing off.
Live well but smart. Under the radar.Be security conscious. Don't go clubbing late in the night. Dont keep late nights.Pay for good schools with security for your children. If possible.Drive yourself.Limit house boys and girls.Domestic staffs generally. You and wifey help out.

Nigeria is great. With God you can live a very good life here. The support system is great. You can be wealthy in Nigeria and still enjoy your wealth.
Travel for holiday and come back. Its not all gloomy.Depends on the shades you are wearing [/q
uote]

You're 100% right. Plus all of us can not run away from the country. Thanks God bless you.

You probably will not understand where I'm coming from, you probably have to spend about 25 to 30years in in U.S. before you can understand what I'm talking about.
As I'm typing this message, I'm stuck in Los Angeles because of corona virus. I came here in January on business trip and to see my children.
It doesn't matter how hard you work in America the system will still get you. Ask you relatives that have been here for over 20years or more years. They'll will be able to tell better.
Don't listen to these Nigerians that just left 3years or 5years ago to Canada or U.S. They don't know anything yet but they will find out in 20years or more.
Does it ever occur to you what happened those Nigerians that left Nigeria in the 70s 80s 90s and 2000
They are stuck, i run into them sometimes they always asked me how i managed to escape America slavery .It takes God grace and wisdom to escape the slavery.
It's a modern day and economic slavery.

Canada is overrated, forget all the fanciful stories you have heard from people that have never been outside Nigeria before. You can never get rich in Canada but if what you want out of life is good roads and steady electricity but scooped up indoors for 9 to 10 months of the year suffering from depression due to lack of vitamin D then Canada might be good for you.
I agreed with you 100%. Most Nigerians don't know what is going on in these foreign countries. Thanks

ote author=Okikiola7134 post=89852204] undecided
Listen very well, this advise is coming from someone that have spent 35 years before relocating back to Nigeria. I will advise you to stay put and plan you life very in Nigeria.
You can't get rich in this foreign countries because of the system the white set up over there. But most black people lack capacity for logical thinking. They cannot see through this system.
Most of these Nigerians will die poor in these foreign countries, 80% of Americans live pay check to pay check. Google it.
If you really want to know what's going on in these foreign countries ask Nigerian that have live in U.S. or Canada for over 20years or more. These are the categories of people that can really give you the through picture of America or Canada.

listen very well and listen, take this advise from someone that spent 35years plus in U.S. I will advise you to stay put and plan you life very in Nigeria.
In about 25 to 30 years from now, your siblings will regret their actions including all those Nigerians that ran away from Nigeria.
Most Nigerians in these countries will die poor, it is not a curse, it's just the reality. 80% of Americans live from pay check to pay check. Google it. It means you're one pay check from being homeless.
The system that these white set up, is Notting but slavery system. You will serve them until you die and your children will continue to serve them until they die too.Generation over generation.
The average black man lacks capacity for deep thinking or logical thinking. We are selling ourselves into slavery and don't know it.I really feel sorry for a lot Nigerians because most of them don't know what is going on in these foreign countries.
I know about 10 of my colleagues that have passed away they die poor including a professor. It's not their fault, it's the system but most africans are ignorant of this system.
How many of the Nigeria billionaires that you know that brought their wealth from U.S. or Canada or London. None, they all made their money in Nigeria.
I'm happy i relocated back to Nigeria with my American wife and we are doing fine and we contributing our quoter to the development of Nigeria. You probably will not appreciate my advice now maybe 20 or 30years from now you will to appreciate it.
TravelRe: Moving Back To Nigeria After The Lockdown by jojoseph(m): 10:46pm On May 22, 2020
Most Nigerians replying to the above message have not stepped outside the country. You have to have lived outside the country for about 20years plus before really know what is going on in these foreign countries. Most Nigerians in abroad can't even afford to relocate if they want to. Most of them are stuck.
