People have mentioned skills like article writing, logo design, android app development etc and you are still asking for skills. Did you read the thread from the beginning or you are just interested in making negative criticism? If you want to know more about skills you need to earn on these sites it is very simple, visits the sites and see the kind of projects that have been posted and identify the skills that you can offer conveniently and start placing bids on those projects. But don't expect to start winning bids immediately you join the sites. It took me about 3 weeks after i registered with freelancer before i won my first job and the orders have continued to flow, if i had given up during my first week of registering i would not have won my first project. So you need to persevere to win your first project and then execute it well to get a positive review so that you can win more projects. And to those still doubting, keep doubting while those that have taken action continue making the $$$$$$. Shalom.

@Op I have been seeing this kind of corn during harvest time in the southern part of kaduna state, but I am yet to see a farm that cultivate purely this variety of corn. So you are not the first person to cultivate it.

I can confidently say that freelancing is real and pays well if you know your onions well. I have been earning on freelancer and hope to start earning on Elance too. And yes I work as a Nigerian online without changing my ip because I am a proud Nigerian. Those doubting can continue doubting while those that have taken action keep making the Benjamins.

I thought thread is for general freelancing jobs not just freelancer. If I can remember very well there are times people use to discuss about fiver here. I may be wrong anyway.

I think it is a good gesture but it does not make sense to me if after registering you still cannot afford to register for the main exams. ACCA should also look into reducing the exams fees for Nigerians, if not students would still not be able to afford the money for the exams. Or may be they are only interested in the subscription fees these students would be paying every year.

I awarded a project but cannot releases the milestone. The writer cannot request for a milestone too.

. Ask the freelancer to send you an invoice for the agreed amount then you use the invoice to pay him and then end the project. I did same with an employer on an hourly project when he said he could not pay me untill I send him an invoice.

Please be careful when someone promise to get you a job abroad because if they can really get a job for you there what are they still doing in Nigeria, don't they like the jobs themselves?

That was how I was scammed by a Nigerian by the name of Lexxyrule when I first started out, I accepted his project without any milestone and wrote 15 articles for him on trust that he is my Nigerian brother only for the bas tard to refuse paying and even ignoring my messages. I learned the hardway. The paosca guy contacted me last night but I just ignored his message.

. Yes it means the employer has deposited the amount with freelancer and it would be released by the employer if he is satisfied with your work. Howevern if he is not satisfied he would open dispute and request for his money to be refunded. If on the other hand you did the job well and delivered and the employer refused to release the milestone you can also open a dispute against him and request for the milestone to be released to you. So in essence the milestone protects both the employer and employee.

. Login to freelancer and click on your profile page and there you would see your current membership, then click upgrade but you have to verify your payment method using your ATM card. I used my Fidelity bank card to verify mine and I was gieven a free one month trial of plus membership. Wish you luck.
