I've always suspected Nigeria's richness as a nation. If they have the money in plenty of it,why would they not quickly buy Boeings and invest in their own carrier. Why would they not pay their teachers and army men good wages.Their military budget isn't far off from Kenya and yet their army is so so large,I wonder how much they pay them! This country is poorer than I thought it was! Where is the solid cash in their treasury coffers? You would think that at 190 million people,Nigerians would buy more unit of cars than Kenyans but that is the opposite! No wonder their scammers want to make a killing in Nairobi.I was shocked reading that Kenya is one the largest importers of Japanese cars in the world! In 2015 Kenyans spent about 1.16 billion US dollars in imported cars. It's nice seeing that the government is keen on growing our own car manufacturing capacity so as to fully benefit from this car craze that Kenyans have! https://www.nation.co.ke/newsplex/consumption-car-imports/2718262-3237160-1e91nn/index.html Kur17: |
And it's not that we are very tax compliant.Only 3 million of us filled our tax returns! We should do better! Kur17: |
A dwindling GDP since it's peak at 2014! Would be interesting seeing how this figures would change with time!

Positives from Kenya today 1.A five billion dollar plus windfall for Kenya from the EU https://www.capitalfm.co.ke/business/2018/11/kenya-signs-sh519b-agreement-with-eu-in-support-of-big-four-agenda/ 2.After the New York route it seems that Atlanta is Kenya Airways next target https://airwaysmag.com/airlines/op-ed-kenya-airways-atlanta-is-up-next/ Things should be good folks! |
Whaaaat? Oh my! This is embarrassing! With the Biafrans wanting their self rule.Things couldn't get worse for Nigeria! Egypt has it's issues with terrorism and the Muslim brotherhood Party,South Africa has reached it's peak. They are not growing at very good numbers right now(recession),we just need to get our act together and in the next ten years we should be somewhere good! kikuyu1: |
Those prices are normal in Kenya too.Nothing impressive ! Just try and go visit the Giraffe Manor! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4sfV-ccXgY?t=25 Kazikazi: |
You are being very generous here with the ' maximum thing' but let's give it to them! The statistics out there are very clear. The budget they have is at 29-30b! rvp2018: |
They never learn! kikuyu1: |
So if oil generates 20 billion US dollars. What then generates this remaining 40 billion US dollars? How does this figure rise up? |
Nice render! forgiveness: |
If its 60 billion US dollars. You might as well breakdown the sources of the budget cash? How much revenue was from oil, agriculture, custom duties and so forth? |
Hey easy question? What are your revenues? Total government revenues! The low value of the Naira to the dollar makes it hard to easily convert Nigeria's currencies! The figures seem gigantic but they aren't so in the real sense!forgiveness: |
Nigerians complaining that we are in their forum. But aren't there Nigerians in Kenya than more Kenyans in Nairaland? ![]() |
Feel free to love them! The fact is that there are more Nigerians learning and living in Kenya than in TZ.It's nice seeing that you are heading to TZ.You guys might as well take your scams there but Magufuli is being a hardliner allowing you in.Goodluck with that! Here is a bunch of your country folks who came to study here. You won't see Kenyans studying in Nigeria! We just don't trust your systems ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_nZ4mJ6ZTY?t=212 darfay: |
We are here to buttress his point! We will do it for all eternity! darfay: |
This is too much! How should I trust this people again? rvp2018: |
We are here because a Nigerian started this discussion and mentioned Kenya all over it.Actually the poster of the thread was right! darfay: |
Another video highlighting the growing rift between TZ and Nigeria! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xut3B9PoGxA?t=1 |
The truth of the matter is that EAC countries aren't that welcoming to Nigerians!Don't be lied by the support of Kazikazi in this thread! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crzKPYeLYX8?t=30 |
Who cares? If we wanted you we wouldn't be deporting you in droves! ![]() darfay: |
Didn't even write this nonsense.I don't use bold in my writing.Nigerians with their dirty tricks yet again! forgiveness: |
For a country of 50 million people our numbers are interesting than yours! and that 71% growth is way more impressive! forgiveness: |
What are your projections of our GDP counting 10 years from now? What will it be when Uhuru departs? rvp2018: |
At 71%,Kenya's growth percentage of dollar millionaires is actually the highest in Africa! AmenhotepZuid: |
Egypt and Nigeria numbers of dollar millionaires aren't that impressive considering Kenya is way less populated than them! This charts among many others just shows how much Tanzania is still a child! ![]() AmenhotepZuid: |
They are bigger than 350b that but they've got nothing to show. The fakest GDP I've ever seen is from Nigeria. How can we have the same budget as theirs? rvp2018: |
I sometimes get banned for a while.Create two or three accounts to survive here! AmenhotepZuid: |
Or it's just a plot to deceive investors/outsiders? rvp2018: |

2.4b billion US dollars is quite some money! If that is what they get annually then I don't know why most International HOTEL brands see Kenya as a first stop in the East and Central African market! The reason can be that we are more diversified in our ways. 70% of tourists in Tanzania are likely to be Safari lovers and mostly foreigners. In Kenya, the domestic Kenyans will support you even when the international tourists aren't knocking,we also host a lot of conferences (one of the best conference destination in Africa.Conference tourism earns us much just like Safari and beach tourism) and we are a hotbed of multinationals,so outsiders are in plenty here,Tanzania doesn't get to enjoy this much. Ambassadors in most EAC countries and critical UN agencies call Nairobi their home, this is a plus for us. It makes more sense for them to invest in Kenya, add the connectivity of Kenya to the world among many factors. If you look at things closely, you'll see that Kenya is the best place to put up your business as compared to Tanzania! You can add stuff like more skilled manpower, largest economy in the EAC and a liberalized economy that has strong frameworks and is less interfered by government and political forces! We just seem to have a healthy mix of everything including external debt! rvp2018: |
The World Bank gave them a warning,Tanzanians now want to be known as cookers of data!https://www.reuters.com/article/us-tanzania-worldbank/tanzania-law-punishing-critics-of-statistics-deeply-concerning-world-bank-idUSKCN1MD17P I can't trust whatever this Kazikazi fella brings as statistics! rvp2018: |
Tanzania does not have a better railway infrastructure than us or even Ethiopia for that matter. They suck on logistics.Don't mind that baradhuli fella in the name of Kazikazi! tlann: |
