Electricity transmission infrastructure that would connect Ethiopia-Kenya-Tanzania.
The Kenyan side of the project carried out by Kenya's KETRACKO.
1. The total acreage of the wayleave corridor along the Loiyangalani Suswa transmission line is 6,464 acres! It is part of the grand plan to connect Kenya's,Ethiopia's and Tanzania's powerlines.
2. Nine OF 400/220kV single phase transformers will step down voltage from the 500kV Ethiopia - Kenya convertor station alternating current switchyard to the existing 220kV Suswa substation thus allowing power to flow to Nairobi, Mombasa, Tanzania, Gilgil and Lessos.
Power from Ethiopia comes in form of DC,hence the conversion is needed to turn it to AC. This will be done at Suswa.
3.Roads,overhead electric lines, and railways are all vital peaces of infrastructure needed to drive growth. The three components met here crisscrossing each other!
4.Lines over farms in Nakuru. Picturesque!

2.Final touches at the Mahi Mahiu station of the Nairobi-Naivasha section.
3.Snaking along the outskirts of Voi agricultural town!
4.At Miritini living Mombasa as you gradually start 'climbing' and noticing the altitude change going to upcountry Kenya!
The track is fenced from Mombasa-Nairobi-Naivasha. Their is a special power line running along the track, this is to aid us in electrifying the railway in future!
