I'm quoting an article, why are you so triggered? ''A recent survey showed that 27 percent of South African students who complete six years of school still cannot read, compared to 4 percent in far poorer Tanzania. Only 37 percent of South African students who start school pass the matriculation exam.'' https://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/articles/28179/south-africa-s-xenophobic-turn-against-other-africans-is-a-national-failure Kazikazi: |

Tru talk,NairobiWalker A funny story, South African truckers wanted all the trucking/driving jobs to be given to them and not foreigners but then again backtracked on that wish for fear of reprissal attacks in moments they will be driving outside South Africa! A confused lot! South Africa still hasn't yet solved the problem of their poor black populace who still are a bitter, poor and a much disturbed lot.I think they still have some ''unfinished business'' with the whites who clearly dominate their economy. A friend of mine, Tito who is a sixth year medicine student at Jo'Burg tells me that quite a significant amount of black South Africans fail to understand Kenyans and other group of Africans who would freely mingle and have a chat with the whites at the university. For Kenyans, talking to someone white isn't a big deal,I mean it's normal. A majority of those black South African's wouldn't get our behaviour of buddy buddying with the white people. For us,white domination ended with our own independence. For them,it's quite different.Mugabe did what Mandela didn't and that was to end the white dominance.Mandela through his peace, humility and diplomatic approach failed to deliver an equal socio-economic footing of the black populace to that of the other races. The white dominance has ruled over them and now to try to seek to rise up makes them go for the much weeker target and that is their fellow Africans who barely control something of greater significance in their economy. In a bid to attract more political support, most black South African politicians have been encouraging an immigrant-baiting approach straight out of Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro’s playbooks. I have clearly failed to understand why they wouldn't deport this bad elements, why should they attack or kill foreigners? It sends a bad picture razing down businesses and breaking into small foreign owned shops looting tin foods and bread! NairobiWalker: |

Whilst South Africa's economic indicators are still strong and above many in the continent, what is happening lately shows a country that is slowly creeping to the dogs if its leadeship doesn't get its act together. Only 37 percent of South African students who start school pass the matriculation exam.'' https://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/articles/28179/south-africa-s-xenophobic-turn-against-other-africans-is-a-national-failure |
