If you watched DeJong last night you'll see exactly what we've been saying that Busquets has been holding this young man back.
Xavi must ditch friendship and experience and start playing Dejong as the man receiving the first pass from the Defenders.
He flourished in that role at Ajax, same in Holland, it'll be disastrous if we let such a gem of a player leave because of an aged Busquets.

The truth is that nobody has been given the chance and freedom to replace Busquets. All the coaches post Enrique have just been too lazy and incompetent to properly utilize another player in that position. He is always playing every game, and the few times that he doesn’t play, they will want his replacement to play exactly like him, forgetting that Busquets has his own special skill set that makes him excel.

I fear Xavi is already doing the same thing.

Busquets may have been doing well this season, but we all know Busquets is not what we need for another season.

No one has been given a shot at replacing him. Someone said Atleti won't have sold Rodri like the same Atleti didnt sell Griezmann when they figured we were intentional about him.

Busquets isn't better than Rodri for the past 3 seasons infact Busquets hasn't been better than the DM of Real, City, Chelsea, Liverpool or any of the top CL contenders for the past 3 to 4 seasons.

Everyone brought to replace Busquets have all come and gone, with Busquets still firing on for almost 15years now. There is no guarantee that Rodri wont have also left, assuming we got him.

You have to appreciate the consistency Busquets have had over all these years. It was difficult to get a replacement because there was none capable of eclipsing him. Even in national team, Rodri still plays second fiddle

The CL most times is determined by small details and isn't always a proper and accurate representation of the progress of a team.
Chelsea truly won in 2020 but Chelsea wasn't the best team in Europe. Sometimes even in the CL you need a bit of luck to help push you through.
