Gomes did very well at Valencia but he was mostly playing in the Pivot role or the Busquet's role, he did well because he had more time to think and more space. At Barca you don't get that time and space, meaning more brains than leg or talents and very very limited space to think.

That's why he's been exposed that much..His level is Valencia and them Celta Vigo..I won't be surprised if we sell him and he suddenly starts balling wherever he's sold to(a smaller club though).

Gomes is a monkey. He probably does so well in training and flatters to deceive in training but once he gets to the stadium, fear go catch am...He's had his chance, He needs to go before he takes us to the sunken place like Morata is doing to Chelsea.

But you can't give a player 5 mins per month and expect the player to perform whenever.. You build up the player through consistency and trust. Same goes for other flops who have come through the academy..

Times have changed..Roberto is way more talented but Roberto didn't start getting game time until he was 25.. Even at that he's playing Right Back..All I'm saying is Patience in a big Club is very vital. The pressure coaches face especially in barca, the pressure to win titles every season, so Coaches tend to use tested and trusted players and so you need to be very exceptional and extraordinarily good in order to get a good running.. dennis suarez needs to play 15 straight games to build that consistency and self confidence.

if suarez was not given a level of patience he would not have been allowed to play up to week 20.

Sometimes Denis Suarez doesn't even make the squad list and he's not injured.. That appears to me as though he doesn't work hard enough in training, because why else won't he even make the squad list at all. Meanwhile at the beginning of EV's tenure, Denis Suarez was getting a decent run of games, which means along the line, something changed...I'm all for him getting game time but then maybe Iniesta's presence was hindering him because Iniesta played every single time he was fit.. So maybe next season when Iniesta leaves he might get a decent run of games.

The fact that we spend so much on outside players even more than Madrid is testament to the fact that focus has shifted from homegrown players.. It's not about the golden generation, because every now and then we hear of talent in the youth team, but how many have been given real chance and performed well in the past 3 years?
We're talking about consistency here and I'm not satisfied in that area..

Denis Suarez that has talent lacks consistency (the same denis suarez that has gone on loan tire o), Sometimes Talents isn't enough, I watched EV's interview before the Villarreal game where he said Dembele has to work more for the team and more hardworking in training. So its not really about promoting, The question is do they fit the bill?, Bojan, Tello, Cuenca, Jefrren, Sandro, Traore, Oriol were all promoted, where are they now? thats just to name a few o, i can list 15 that has been promoted since 2008 and all of them cast.

Arniaz might get promoted too.. The Golden Lamasia generation we are enjoying comes maybe once in 50years, it doesn't mean we should promote players every now and then.

Also 4-4-2 limits the wingers and thats why EV benches Dembele most times when when he wants to go very conservative. So lets assume it was a stop gap measure due to the circumstances surrounding how we started the season.

Next season theres no more benefit of doubt because it'll be assumed that he has bought people that he needs and would fit into the bill.. So by then his head would be on a spike if we don't win all there is to win.

I'm excited with the supposed "anger" Dembele appears to be playing with. Its a good anger and it looks as though he is vexed that folks doubt his ability. Just hope Oga Ade uses him more next season and he stays fit.

iniesta woulda been a lot more dangerous this season if he was managed properly. Unfortunately, EV chose to play him even in the most unnecessary of times.

Rakitic played really well though and can't believe ill ever say this though, Paulihno did really well big time.

EV needs to upgrade his management skills really, he looks like he has this inferiority complex and sets his team up not to loose, if winning comes then thats a bonus. Marcelo left hectares of space at the back and a dembele would have exploited that deficiency big time. Phil looked very lost all because he couldn't be creative in that flank all cos Iniesta was on the pitch and all he could do was track back albeit haphazardly(can't blame him though).. Roberto should have known better and the ref made some terrible calls against Madrid, The Marcelo penalty especially and the Suarez foul in the build up to the goal, but then Bale had no business remaining on the pitch, he should have been given a straight red after the Umtiti foul. Madrid wanted to end our Unbeaten so much and it was fun seeing them fail in the bid big time.

Great game all in all though, had everything in drama,goals, controversy and was only marred by the terrible officiating(the referee appeared overwhelmed by the level of the match) and EV of course.


Lest I forget, Suarez needs competition or he should pack his bag and baggages and go.

There were serious of wrong calls in that game, but the biggest was the red card which of course defined the match. The other calls for Chelshit came afterwards. It takes a team with wits to play such a highly tensed game and come out tops. We bossed the game from start to finish despite playing over half an hour with a man down (wrongly dismissed). If any team was robbed on the night, it definitely was Barca. We came to win the game and duly deserved to progress after securing the away goal.

Marcelo's was a clear hand ball that all three officials saw but chose to look away.

Forget all this excuses really.. History remembers we won 2009 Cl, the same way history remembers Madrid as the only tam to defend the CL..if na by ojoro make we self do am, I agree that Real has a kind of luck hovering over their heads but still they worked for it at the same time.

Suarez needs the ball delivered to him in order to perform, these days however, the space is very limited and he gets very little of the ball and space so he can't perform laye laye.. Griezmann looks like the opposite thus far, so make Suarez dey go or at best he should be 2nd choice, all this his forming of senior player should stop. Valverde lacks the cojones to bench him though.
