Awesome01:Don't believe everything. It won't happen. |
ollah2: |
ollah2:why do i have a feeling you r thinking about the bald de jong, the dutch midfielder. |
tesppidd:As in ehn, thats the best news we can have this transfer season. |
patrickmuf:Ok. If Rakitic has to adapt so as to cover for our overlapping RB, What makes you think Vidal won't be saddled with the responsibility to cover for the ever attacking Alba. I'm not questioning the qualities of these players, I'm questioning the ability of both of them working together as a midfield combo in a 4-3-3.Rakitic and Vidal are very similar, one is just an upgrade of the other. it's not rocket science in football that playing similar players together is recipe for disaster. We need a controller not another player offering Grit. As for arrogance, there's nothing to b arrogant about, We wey dey ja for QF for the past 3 seasons. |
Sommyroy10:Lol. I'm not underating Rakitic. I guess we just have to wait for the season to start then we would see who's right or wrong. |
3200. I mark register. I say again and again Vidal Busquets and Rakitic won't work in a 4-3-3. |
patrickmuf:For a 4-3-3 to work effectively, the midfielders have to be players who can offer cover for the defence and help defensively too. (we all know this) but Modric and Kross are first Very technically gifted players that can hold their own against any team. they are first technical and creative before helping out the defence not defensive minded with little or no technique nor control like what Vidal and Rakitic starting together would mean for us. Pep milked life out of Xavi, Iniesta and all other players aside Messi by observing the 5 seconds rule and crowding out the opponent before they could think. One of vidal or Rakitic would offer cover for busquets, Not both. We aren't a defensive side. Casimero, Coutinho, Paulihno played very well together for brazil and phil thrived. Rakitic/Vidal would offer cover for busquets, Vidal can come in if we need to see a game out and all that but not as a starter alongside Rakitic. too similar and would eventually be easy to figure out for opposing teams. As for the Roma game, if you read my reply to sommyroy, i talked about the tiredness and the clueless Valverde too. |
Sommyroy10:Gidigbo prevailed over a clueless, tired team picked by Valverde. 9 out of 10, Technique and control defeats gidigbo. |
TLona1:My brother its dead on arrival. |
patrickmuf:First off the midfield trio of Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets in 2008 to 2013 would work perfectly now since Casimero, Kross and Modric has worked perfectly for Madrid, if Debryne, Silva, Fernandiho worked perfectly for City last season. so this automatically strikes out you narrative of adapting from smooth to Grit or gidigbo. Then when playing 4-3-3,(like a very effective one, the kind we played in those glorious years 2008-2016) the 3 midfielders have clear roles. A carrier(Iniesta), A controller (Xavi) and the Defensive midfielder (Busquets). Under Enrique where Xavi aged and diminished, Rakitic couldn't do the Xavi role hence Enrique had to build around the devastating front 3, with Iniesta still playing as the carrier and Messi been messi double checking as the controller and a forward. A midfield trio of Vidal, Rakitic and busquets has nothing on technique, has nothing on fluidity, has nothing on attack intact. Who is the controller?, Who is the carrier?, who dictates play?..Its not just about running and running. Messi can't do all that again if we hope to get messi in the final third a lot more. Opposition teams would build a wall round Messi, Phil and Suarez like Juve did in 2017 and thus leave the clueless midfield struggling because they have grit over sense. I understand if you say Vidal won't be a starter, maybe just for squad depth but if he must start then Rakitic has to go. One of them has to be on the bench, both can't and shouldn't start in a 4-3-3. |
patrickmuf:This is the exact reason we were whitewashed in Rome last season. This is 2018, one defensive midfielder is enough. Not 3 FFS! Trickery and technique over gidigbo. |
tesppidd:First off i don't think he's the player he was 2 years ago.Knee Injuries can be career damaging for anyone. Also i see this as Valverde sticking to his foolish 4-4-2 and that would hurt the growth of some other players(youngsters as you call them). Imagine him playing a midfield quartet of Busquets, Rakitic, Phil and Vidal, thats recipe for disaster and leaves all the creative work on phil, Phil isn't capable of creating chances all alone, even Don Andreas couldn't do it last season. it'll mean messi coming back to create and create, leaving the goal scoring duties to that fat Suarez. Don't forget that the aim of the whole thing is supposed to get Messi closer to goal not further far away from goal. we need creative players not digbolugi. |
tesppidd:Vidal FFS! and i'm shocked you've been supporting the deal even when it appeared as rumours at first. At this rate in 3 years time we might be signing Fellaini. |
This is what our top 9(untouchable) looks like.

I still can't believe this Really.
I really can't. |

![]() inside story on how we swooped for malcom x. it had better pay off eventually sha. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5990077/Inside-Barcelonas-eleventh-hour-45-5m-swoop-Malcom-Brazilian-enticed-No-7-shirt.html |
Malcom X is officially a Barca Player. Mehn the way the deal was wrapped up in a matter of 2 days is shocking though. Either way fingers crossed. |
edimolu:Kanan don lash tasha before, I'm so sure, he keeps referring her to as a bitch, he always try to flirt with her and this recent scene in the last episode all but makes it all the more obvious. Tasha gets very jittery once she sees kanan, like she's hiding something.. Infant if i take it a little further, i won't be shocked if Kanan is actually Tariq's dad. |
Kanan. |
Upnepaa:Well well.
|
ddippset:Its definitely Modric. Guyman has been on fire all through the World cup. |
HumbleBoy21:Rakitic is going no where. He can't leave Barca, he is pivotal to how we play, just that hin head dey always touch sometimes. |
Jacob banks' unholy war playing underneath when ghost made his speech was lit really. Power sure knows the perfect tracks to go with scenes. I'm still amazed at Dre's fast growth to suddenly look ghost in the eye and tell him to stay in his lane. i get the producers are trying to make the Jimenez through Dre the new Villain but the fast paced growth looked so unreal and exaggerated. Either way Tariq sure has a huge role to play in the coming war. |
RuuDie:Lol. How does the bolded show that it was mascherano's experience that propelled Argentina to win? Where was the experience when he brock lesnar'ed Balogun in the box?.. Who caused the penalty? its not by screaming and gesticulating every now and then. Mascherano is way past his prime and is just in that team because he flatters to deceive Sampaoli with his Apari. |
kalan:thank you very much. I was looking at another course that can bolster my chances in the oil sector and it appears very limited right now.. How about Geophysics?, or can you advice on what you think i can go for. i read geology for first degree. |
Sampaoli just dey do moon walk for touch line. No impact sub, keep Dybala and Banega for bench, playing Acunia and meza and perez and oloribuku. |
Lobatan. |
They keep saying Messi has to be closer to goal but these Argentine fools can't even find intricate passes to him or to Aguero. Idiots trying to form tikitaka in the world cup. O tii dii |
