I am yet to read a news about Fayose commissioning a people oriented project and the guy has spent over a year in government. O! You call it foolery? Remember Rochas did same, He was hailed. So to every reasonable adult, it's very obvious that most of what we are grappling with today is a carryover from the previous govt. I will not give high marks to the current govt. I am not excited about the seemingly slow pace but you should know that it is only a crooked man that will attribute all the anomalies today to PMB. This got me thinking if you are mentally sound. "it is only a crooked man that will attribute all the anomalies today to PMB." You want to exonerate PMB but crucify GEJ for our present woes? If NOI had predicted harsh times what is our president supposed to have done before manning his position? He (PMB) is also to be blamed. |
Education › Re: My Experience With My Perverted Lecturer by jonuel1(m): 3:41pm On Nov 05, 2015 |
JAZES: There was this particular lecturer in my department when I was still in school. We all knew him to be a womanizer. He liked all kinds of women, young, old, fat, thin, tall, and short. Every girl in the department tried as much as possible not to get noticed by him. That means doing your assignment with others and coming to his classes on time so you don’t have to beg him to enter his class.
One day, (I am sure it was because I didn’t pray that morning, it gave devil the opportunity to deal with me.) It started with waking up late for classes that day. When I realized that it was this lecturer’s class we had, I just decided that I would miss the class. Only for my friend to ping me that they were registering the man’s course. I quickly dressed up wore my deeper life gown, even white powder I didn’t rub that day and ran to class. By the time I got to the department, the man had already locked the door and took attendance. That was when I knew my village people swore for me that day.
I waited till he finished teaching and joined the other late comers to go to his office to beg him. Did I tell you that our lecturers each had their own office? Well furnished o! This particular lecturer even had extra seats and curtains. May be he normally held prayer sections in his office, who knows?
I had already finished planning the lie I will tell the man, how I was very sick and just came from the school medical center. Am sure God was just watching me and my plans. (I already started with not praying now am about lie).
We reached the man’s office and started begging him to please just let us register the course even if we will miss the attendance. The man acted like we were asking Buhari to legalize gay marriage. I made sure I was very invincible in the back of the crowd.
The next thing I heard was “hey you at the back on glasses, come here”
Shoo! I joined others to turn to see who he was talking to even though I knew that it was the wall I was turning to look at. One over-sabi girl just shouted my name “Chidinma, he is talking to you o” I just used my eyes to dissect the girl. I came closer and he gave me money and some paper to photocopy for him. In my mind I was hoping that he will allow me to register after going for the errands.
I ran better than Usain Bolt that day, did the photocopy and came back. As I was getting closer to his office I noticed that my classmates were no longer there. I became sacred. I quietly knocked on his door and he asked me to come in. as I stepped in he asked me to close the door. Ah! Close door ke? I just murmured the devil is a liar. I banged the door but made sure it wasn’t locked. I moved closer to him and gave him the documents.
He now asked me my name I quickly shouted the name my grandma gave me (I normally get angry when my siblings called me the name) “sir, my name is Erinma”
The next thing he asked me was “so who is eating this bush meat you carrying around?”
I quickly checked if I had mistakenly carried someone’s bush meat when I went to do photocopy only to see I was carrying only my bag.
“Sir, it’s just my hand bag am carrying o; there is no bush meat here”
“So you don’t know what I mean? You are trying to form for me abi?
“No o sir I honestly don’t know.”
Ok, then, who is enjoying this bush meat you are carrying in front of you. Which of the guys?
Oh! He was talking about breasties.
I suddenly became dumb. And started calling on my ancestors and God at the same time to give me the wisdom he gave Solomon in the bible so I can I get out of this situation.
“Sir nobody o”
“Hmm, so when will you give me to enjoy?”
In my mind I was calculating my fainting skills incase anything happened.
“Sir…. Sir” I suddenly became a stamarer.
I was seriously praying and promising God to even become a reverend sister if I can get out from here.
It was like God or my ancestors’ sef saw that I had suffered enough and decided to intervene.
He then asked me “where are you from”
“Enugu” I replied
“Where in Enugu?”
Sir, Ezeagu”
Ah! Ezeagu, I heard they do juju very well
I shouted “Yes sir o!, they are very good at it. In fact, both my paternal and maternal grandparents are well known native doctors in the village. Even my dad was also one but recently converted. See the lies jumping from my mouth like I was reciting National Anthem.
“Hmmm, serious?” he asked looking almost sacred
“Yes sir, you can ask around” I replied
He immediately brought out the registration booklet and told me to find my name and sign across it and leave his office
I quickly took the book, signed my name and ran away.
Since then the man doesn’t even answer my greeting and I made sure I escaped his wahala till I graduated.

Politics › Re: Banker: How I Ran Maina's N2bn Illegal Accounts by jonuel1(m): 11:38am On Nov 05, 2015 |
DONSMITH123: Give us evidence, ex-pension chief’s lawyer tells EFCC
A banker has told detectives how she ran five accounts used to perpetrate a N2bilion pension fraud in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
Former Pension Reform Task Team chief Abdulrasheed Maina is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for the alleged pension fraud.
The EFCC is probing Maina’s alleged complicity in the operation of the accounts, following the confessions of Fidelity Bank Account Officer Toyin Meseke.
Besides, Meseke is said to have told the EFCC that Maina had been operating a safe deposit box with the bank. EFCC’s investigators found that withdrawals from the five accounts were usually channelled through some bureaux de change to an account in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The bureaux de change are JIEK BDC, West Waves and Alnasara.
A document obtained by our correspondent identified the accounts as Cluster Logistics, Nafisatu Aliyu, Abdullahi Faizal, Kangolo and Drew Investment.
Meseke spilled the beans on how the accounts were managed by a suspected pension fraud syndicate.
Meseke said: “I managed Nafisatu Aliyu, Cluster Logistics and Abdullahi Faizal for Abdulrasheed Maina as soon as his brother, Khalid Aliyu, left the bank three years ago.
“Though all the three accounts do not carry Abdulrasheed Maina’s name but I carried out instruction on the accounts for him as explained to me by his brother that Abdulrasheed Maina owns all funds in the accounts before he resigned from the bank.
“He is not a signatory to the three accounts mentioned. He usually called me on my phone number -08057465698 – to carry out instruction on all the three accounts.
“And he also sent e-mail instructions through his email gajipeace@gmail.com to my personal email freshicekiddy@yahoo.com to carry out instructions. Thereafter, he would send someone to the bank to give me a form of regularisation on the transactions done on all the three accounts.
“Sometimes when it is getting too late to regularize, I would call to remind him and asked me to come to his house in Kado to receive the regularised cheques.
“Most time, precisely on two occasions, I received the already signed regularised cheques in an enveloped sealed at the gate of his house.
“On 3/10/14, Abdulrasheed sent an instruction to debit Cluster Logistics with the sum of N15, 870, 690 and credit to a Bureau De Change account (JIEK BDC). This amount was converted to US dollars for onward delivery to him. I don’t know, I cannot remember the USD equivalent.
“Also on May 2, 2014, Abdulrasheed Maina sent a mail carrying instruction that the sum of N33, 880,000 be debited from the same Cluster Logistics and transferred to a Bureau De Change (West Waves). This was converted by the BDC customer and delivered to him.
“He scanned and sent another instruction on May 6, 2014 to me to debit Cluster Logistics with N47, 500, 00 and credit to BDC Customer, West Waves BDC who converted and sent to him.
“On the transaction that took place on July 3, 2015 in Abdullahi Faizal, he (Abdulrasheed Maina) sent an e-mail that the account be liquidated and converted to US dollars (USD). So, I got a bureau de change customer to convert the sum of N108million for him.”
Regarding accounts opened in the names of Kangolo and Drew Investment, Meseke added: “I am not sure who the account officers are. Sometimes last year, I got to know that Abdulrasheed Maina owns these accounts. I have never initiated any transaction on these accounts.”
Meseke also confirmed that Maina was operating a safe deposit box with the bank.
She, however, said Maina has sole access to the box.
She added: “As for the safe deposit box, I got to know that Maina maintained a safe deposit box after I joined in 2011 when he came to access his box and that the box had been in existence before I joined the bank in 2008. The last time I saw him coming to access his box was in 2013 but I cannot remember the exact month.”
Yesterday Maina’s lawyer Mrs Esther Uzoma, said: “We are waiting for the amended charges which the EFCC said contained the allegations.
“The EFCC has been saying that Maina operated slush accounts but they have not shown us any evidence.”
In a statement on Tuesday in Abuja she said: “The EFCC should come clean on the matter of my client, Dr. Abdulrasheed Maina. When I appeared before His Lordship, Justice Kolawole on July 21, I made it clear that the EFCC was yet to file any charge as well as serve any summons on Dr. Maina.
“It is trite law that you cannot say an accused is on the run when there is no charge preferred against him or any invitation extended to him.
“During the hearing for the bail application, counsel to the EFCC, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), wanted the court to direct me to produce Maina in court at the next sitting but I argued that there are clear procedures, which the EFCC is familiar with and should follow.
“Naturally, the court agreed with my submission on the position of law. Therefore, it is misleading for the EFCC in its statement of Monday to mislead the public that there exists an order for Maina to be produced in court when there is no invitation extended to him let alone a charge preferred against him by the commission.

The opposition will be quick to point out how bad our economy has degenerated forgetting that some of us are more intelligent and reasonable to know that the economy of a nation does not start crashing in a matter of months. It is a build up of failed policies and programmes cluelessly initiated or poorly implemented. They're always quick to point to the positives of this present administration as a programme conceived and initiated by the GEJ but will distance themselves from the mess they created. What a hypocrisy! Nigerians have no option than to wait patiently for PMB led administration as he clean the aurgen table left behind by the crooked and perversed government of GEJ. To set the record straight, more than 50%of this debt was carried over from the previous government making the present administration to start from an indebted position. Doesn't make sense! Have you forgotten APC said subsidy is a scam? I guess the reality of governance has dawn on them. Let me remind you, the people shouting change now, where were they before now? You might want to credit TSA as a success right? Were the procedure on disburstment made before implementing TSA? TSA implementation was wrong because procedures of disburstment of fund were not properly done. I don't know whether a curse has been laid on that party. It's easier to destroy something than to repair it. It only takes less than 15 minutes for an explosion of atomic bomb to completely destroy a place and it will take more than 5 years to develop the place again. Pdp is the main reason behind the woes of this country. Had it been that Pdp led administration effectively manage the affairs of this nation- sail the ship of our nation to a promising shore, there wouldn't have been any reason to mount pressure on Apc government to act fast. This country was handed over to Apc in a complete broken state, they masturbated with the glory of this country and wine-and-dine with the fate of many youths for a good 16 years yet, they are expecting Apc lead government to clean up the mess within four years. see, we don't want magic in fact there is no magic wand to wave, we just want a new and solid foundation for the future of this country. But Mr Bruce lee is doing his own opposition on twitter, what a shame.!! Permit me to tell you to shut up! The nation is broke and he's doling out bail out? The three months of crushing boko haram if voted, what has happened in that regard? Yet they told GEJ to resign since he can't secure Nigerians. Being a one time General, has the issue of insecurity subsided? Since they used that during their campaign. They need to be pressured because they thought it was easy but now reality stares them in the face. Please stop reasoning like a kindergarten. |

williams20: Good morning great Farmers. Pls we have 2 concrete ponds about 3000litres each. And we have stocked a thousand fish into both. We feed twice daily with coppens and change water completely every 3-4days. Bt the fishes do hang up sometimes and they have big bellies. Recorded 3 casualties so far. Pls we need more insight. First and foremost, from the biochemistry viewpoint, nitrogenous waste are expelled in 3 forms (Uric acid, Ammonia and Urea). Uric acid is the means reptiles and birds excrete nitrogenous waste as a result of water conservation; that's why their excrete is always dry and u find a whitish stuff. The convenient form for man is urea and its less toxic but ammonia is highly toxic and this is the means fish excrete their nitrogenous waste. That why by nature they are in water and being that its a pond, the water isn't free flowing the ammonia accumulates and causes their death with the number of fish and size taken into consideration so frequent change of water is advised. From my experience (we have a pond at the back of the house for domestic consumption) We use concrete pond and being that cement is used, we soacked the pond for like two weeks by filling it with water to kill the effect of limestone which is harmful to the fish. Before stocking, we wash the pond with salt which plays same role as the drug the poster mentioned then fill after washing with salt before stocking. Early sorting is good like the OP said as there is competition but it is worthy of note that they do eat themselves (carniballistic in nature). We stocked 500 fingerlings in our present stock; when we sorted after 1month, we were left the less than 350. Vital feeds makes d water small so we stopped when we tried. We use coppens now. We used to record mortality when we started cus we always leave the water in the pond for 2days bt since we started changing water everyday, mortality is no more. We wash our pond like every 2-3wks when they are like 2months+ because of algae growth. I hope this is helpfull. |
