Christianity EtcProphet Muhammad And The Hypocrisy Among Muslim by joshrooy23(op): 8:18pm On May 22, 2022
Just few weeks ago my attention was drawn to gruesome and barbaric murder of a young promising Nigerian female student in Shehu Shagari College of Education, sokoto by some Muslim fanatics...

Deborah as she was fondly called by her family and friends comes from a family of 7 children, Deborah witnessed the most gruesome death by stoning and then burnt by large Muslim fanatics who believed that the are fighting for their prophet Muhammad......I am still confused about the kind of orientation that are given to Muslim especially at this part of the world that if you fight for a prophet you can be found righteous....but how can you fight for the person who you think created you or a prophet who you believed comes from Allah.....if prophet Muhammad is so important to Muslims why then do the answer the name Muhammad

They are currently destroying somto Hospital at owerri imo state.
A project built by Sen. Anayo Rochas Okoroacha
They should have transformed it if they feel the hospital is not needed. How long shall we continue like this?
Let me ask, is the main market the main need of imo citizens

Somto Hospital Currently Being Destroyed In Douglas Owerri Imo State

Does the name Somto ring a bell in your ear or have you heard the name from somewhere else before, yes the truth is that somto was a young child who lost his life during the regime of former governor of imo state Mr Rochas Anayo Okoroacha who at that time ordered the demolition of the popular Eke ukwu known as douglas market. Somto lost his life when a stray bullet from the trigger happy men of the Nigeria armed forces who decided to go on a shooting spree to despatch off the traders who where adamant to vacate the popular douglas main market....

Somto lost his life at a young age and his dreams where also cut short. Imo state governor Anayo Okoroacha decided to build a hospital on his name to honor him but 2 years after the hospital has been built, the new governor has decided to bring it down.

Now my question to imolite is this, is the main market the main need of imo citizens. They should have transformed it if the feel that the hospital is not needed.

Hope Uzodimma DEMOLISHES HOSPITAL BUILT BY OKOROCHA FOR IMO PEOPLE

ONWUASOANYA FCC JONES

A state-of-the-art hospital built by the immediate past governor of Imo State, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha is at the moment being demolished by the current governor of the State, Chief hope uzodimma, in what many commentators have described as a badly thought-out act of political vendetta.

The hospital built with Imo funds had been fully completed, structurally, while, the necessary hospital equipment are the only things awaited for the hospital to kick into full operations.

The hospital named Somtochukwu Hospital is one of the over 30 hospitals initiated or completed by the Okorocha administration in eight years of holding sway, and is also a major legacy of the Okorocha administration, as it situated at a site of a major market relocated by that administration, in keeping to the advice of respected development experts and safety professionalism, since the said location of the said markets had posed some security and and health challenges, as disrupting the modernization and urbanization ambitions of the State Government.

Okorocha had built new markets in Egbeada, Ubomiri, Naze, Akwakuma, Amakohia and Ohi; all suburbs of the capital city, before relocating the old Ekeonunwa market. More than 10,000 shops were built at these new locations to meet the surging demand by traders. However, the uzodimma administration, in what some people believe is a misdirected political vendetta, ensured that some of the new markets are not occupied as he encouraged traders to return to the old market located in the heart of Owerri city.

According to Chief Joseph Nze, a community leader in Owerri; the idea of demolishing the new hospital is an affront on the people of the State.

"This hospital and many other such structures built by the Okorocha administration were not built with the former governor's personal funds, he built them with Imo State funds, public funds. So, when you go on a demolition spree of projects initiated by your predecessor, when you haven't built any at all, you should know that you are not fighting Okorocha, but fighting Imo people."

PoliticsLetter To A Brother Turned Enemy by joshrooy23(op): 8:52am On Sep 05, 2019
LETTER TO A BROTHER TURNED ENEMY

Dear Zulu,

I am writing you through a network owned by one of your sons, Ferdi Moolman. Should you see a letter in a white envelope tied with a yellow ribbon, know that it is mine, open it not with insane mind, and take a moment pause to read through.

Even a day old baby has, if not seen, heard the cruel massacre of my brothers in your land. I used to think we were brothers, not until this time.

I grew up seeing you as my brother when I was told that during the Apartheid era in your land, my parents were one of the foremost supporters of anti-apartheid movement, that we issued more than 300 passports to you and your brothers seeking to travel abroad. Abroad which ended up being in my land.

I'm beginning to owe Ashanti an apology for sending him packing when he came for refuge in my land, for producing a bag - Ghana must Go - which till this present generation, is sung by every child as a remembrance of how we wanted them expelled from our land. But not even a day have they thought of "A pay back". Then imagine yourself who share no boundary with me like the Black Stars. Imagine yourself whom, the year you had your first indigenous president, we were at our tenth, General Sani Abacha.

Chinua Achebe said that he who does not know from where the rain started beating him will not know where it stopped beating him. Zulu, before you continue killing, can we go back and know from where the rain started beating us. The goat thought it was dirtying its owner's wall till it realized its coat was peeling.

Have you forgot the hit song the famous Nigerian musician, Sonny Okosun, wrote: "Fire in Soweto" in 1977 to commemorate the 1976 Soweto uprising against apartheid in your land. You used every means to cry for help from neighboring countries during the apartheid. You had immediate neighbour who you thought their help weren't enough, and as such raised the volume of your cry and clarion call for redemption, salvation and external interference in the ugly and heinous apartheid threat in your land. You achieved this through notable poets like Mazisi Kunene, Dennis Brutus, Oswald Mtshali and the last Jah Reggae prophet, Lucky Dube. We still study their poems in our institutions, we are still playing those reggae musics in our records. We heard your cry and came to help, sending 300 passports to your brothers seeking to travel abroad.

Following the end of Apartheid in 1994, your businesses sought for professionals to immigrate and a large number of my brothers did so. Mandela your father was happy that instead of the exploitative whites, his Black Brothers took the lead of investors. And today, that economy of yours has grown and you have decided to call the forest that sheltered you a jungle. "He who finished mowing his hairs in a barbers shop and broke the razor has forgot that those hairs will still grow back".

Zulu, do not forget that a razor may be sharper than an axe, but it cannot cut wood. You are enjoying the killing of your fellow black over something you have failed to bring to a table of discourse.

Zulu, I had thought that your renaissance will bring about an uprising against the whites that are dominating 30% of your home, the same white that made you call for help like a child during the apartheid. But instead, you chose to show your ingratitude towards a people that you are indebted to.

Zulu! Zulu! Zulu!

We never fought a war and lost. Do not make us count another victory.

I'm Sízà Àmàh a son of the soil.

The gory picture below is that of a little girl of thirteen years old from Akwa Ibom state that lives with her uncle, one Mr Effiong Sunday at Brass street Etegwe Yenagoa Bayelsa State.

On Tuesday 5th September 2018 the little girl was accused of stealing three thousand naira from her next door neighbor. After questioning and interrogation from her Uncle (Mr Sunday Effiong) the little girl said she didn't steal any money.

The uncle insisted that she must tell him the truth and he started beating her up mercilessly. Later he removed her cloths and started burning her with a hot pressing Iron that she must tell him the whereabout of the money. According to the little girl, he continued to burn her face and breast with the hot pressing Iron and she accepted she stole the money under duress.

The painful side of the story is that the neighbor eventually found his money where he kept it.

Despite the injuries he inflicted on the little girl, her uncle didn't bother to take her to the hospital for treatment.

The following morning being Friday 7 September, neighbors started frowning and spreading the story after seeing the injuries on the girl.

The information got to Mr Numoipre Benson Ayah, Tony Owei Angagha and my humble self and we decided to see what we could do to help the little girl.

We contacted DO FOUNDATION, an NGO that is into CHILD ABUSE and other related matters chaired by Barrister Dise Ogbesi Sheila and her second Excel Bright.

The little girl was taken to the Ekeki police station. Mr Sunday Effiong and his wife were invited for interrogation by the Gender Desk Office.

The little girl is now receiving treatment in the hospital Courtesy of DO FOUNDATION.

While we await justice we say a big thank you to barrister Dise ogbesi Sheila and Excel bright of DO FOUNDATION for their swift intervention, we also say a big thank you to the police, doctors and others that are concerned in the little girl's plight.

I tried to monster up a smile in my tensed state but my facial fear betrayed me.....!!! she quickly understood my predicament and returned my smile with a hug.....!!! thanks for yesterday she finally said at last, and then i heaved a sign of relief and blushed....!!! Are you waiting for somebody she asked and with a rare confidence I held her hands and said " no Marian I am only waiting for you to come out....!!! she smiled and looked me in the eye and said, " you should have come inside and asked of me she said.....!!! I don't know how you will feel if I did that I replied, and she held my hands and led the way to her room.....!!!
Miriam room was well furnished and smelled like heaven....!!! she gave me a chair and I sat down on a chair and she sat on her bed.....!!! we glimpsed at eachother for about ten minutes and then she finally broke the deadlock....she asked for my name which I told her.....I asked her about her family background, her likes, and her Dept..... and she asked me mine!!!, with the conversation moving smoothly I opened up to her about my love at first sight and asked her if she sees us being friends and lovers and she said yes.....!!!!! I cleaned my face with my hands and wondered if I was in the dream, jeez it was easy after all I said to myself......

I really wished I had known that I was walking into a hall filled with regrets, heartbreak, and the urge to take my own life, but this life doesn't have a fast forward button for me to see the outcomes of the future.....sometimes all dreams that comes with brighter pictures end so sadly.....
As we both alighted from the bus, I waited for her to walk a few distance to the direction she was heading to, then like a visual bet9ja staker whose ticket have entered I followed her foot to foot as she walked home that cold night, then someone flashed a touch at the distance and then she retraced to where I was and held me tight, begged me to escort her to hostel for fear of being raped or her phone being taken.....I immediately looked up at the night skies, and believed that my prayers have been answered.....!!! then I held her like a child whose parents wants to cross the main road and we walked rather slowly towards her hostel...... then I asked for her name and she said "Marian".......I immediately traced back to the name she gave to the other guy in the bus and believed that one of us has been lied to....
At the gate of their hostel with the inscription "Savannah villa,"....I stopped and she waved me bye and bid me goodnight....!!! i grudgingly looked at the long distance I had to walk to back home and regretted following her to where she lived.....but after I got home that fateful day, my mind was preoccupied with an unending taught of her.....!!!! surely I have fallen in love I said aloud to no one in particular.....

my name is nwosu Joshua Michael, I am a final year student of economics in IMO state university owerri.....!!! my heart still ache as I write to you regarding my ordeal in the hand of a girl I loved genuinely and sincerely....!!! life indeed is a continuous teacher with us as students....my story began on Saturday 8/4/2017 on my way back from owerri after attending a friends birthday party. it was getting late and the weather was becoming cloudy, so I hurriedly jumped into the next available bus heading to umuagwo.....the 18 seater bus was already filled with only two space remaining at the back, I quickly sat down, while the conductor kept shouting on top of his voice '' any one lucky chance".....the passenger in angry tone beckoned on the driver to move the bus, for it was already dark and that we would still pick a passenger on the way side....I joined in the protest but like a flash I was quiet again. my attention were momentarily drawn to the sight of a girl who just boarded the bus with us and saved the driver more insults and curses flying from various Angles,....as she sat down on her sit, the driver immediately sped off like someone being chased by a hungry tiger.....after about 10 minutes of silence a young guy who sat beside me broke the silence, and spoke to the girl. he asked for her name, the school she attended and so on.....jeez I forget telling you that I was the shy type......and during those ten minutes of silence, my mind has been preoccupied with the best way to start up the conversation with her...and now it seemed like all hope is lost by the interference of the young guy who spoke up first. I attentively listened to their conversations laughing at both their jokes and funny remarks....and from the conversation I understood her name as Vivian and also that she was a student of IMO state polytechnic umuagwo and currently in her ND 1....!!! hahahaha, I am a good listener some of you will be wondering abi, life of shy guy requires attentiveness ooo..... after about 30 minutes of our journey back home, the young guy alighted after getting to his destination and they driver zoomed off immediately, now I heard all the chance in the world to make a move but my shyness betrayed me......just like a prayer answered she asked the driver to drop her at cashew( a popular bustop) in the town I lived.....though my own bustop was a bit far from hers, I came down with her.....and that was the biggest mistake I will ever regret making!!!! encourage me friends to write more
