Nigeria! The Glory Beyond Now Out

NIGERIA! THE GLORY BEYOND NOW OUT

"I have decided to take responsibility for what happens in this Nation.
As a visionary patriot, i have only one goal -Taking my Nation to her place of the Glory Beyond." - Joshua Nicholas (Mr Nigeria)

One of the ways we can do this is by motivating other Nigerians to catch this dream and run with the vision! Positive change is all we have been beckoning for and here it is. Since our problems are enormous, our solutions will be extraordinary.

This book aims to revive the spirit of patriotism in Nigerians, rebuild their faith in the nation and re-establish their confidence in the hope and working out of a glorious Nigeria.

Nigeria! The Glory Beyond aims at breeding a new Nigeria of unity, hope and purpose; a Nigeria that is built on the Glory Beyond and Greatness within. Nigeria is not a land mass, Nigeria is not a " Coat of Arm symbol", Nigeria is not a vast area of green land occupied by black people. I am Nigeria - You are Nigeria. If we fail, its our fault - if we win, it's our work.

Come let us build Nigeria together!
God bless Nigeria!
God bless the pride of the earth!

Politics / Nigeria At 61: We Still Have Blessings To Count - Mr. Nigeria by joshuannicholas(m): 11:35pm On Oct 01, 2021
NIGERIA AT 61: WE STILL HAVE BLESSINGS TO COUNT - MR. NIGERIA

1. Greetings Good people of Nigeria

2. On this special occasion of our 61st Independence Anniversary, I stand in solidarity with all Nigerians across the globe.

3. I want to assure you all that the wailing moments will soon be over. Where there's a wailing, there's a winning.

4. I start my speech today by bringing to our rememberance the heroic lines of Johnson Oatman's lyrics. It reads:

5. "When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

6. Refrain:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God has done.
[And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.]"

7. This may be the situation of many of us in Nigeria today. Yes there are alot of bleedings as many things doesn't seem going right.
Kidnappings - killings - banditry - insurgency - secession agitations - ethnic and religious disunity - inflation - highest cost of living - poor getting poorer - masses in mass suffering - the odds are overwhelming.

8. Of a truth the system is in desperate need of an entire overhauling.
But can we concentrate a little on our blessings? Yes I know there are bleedings but focusing on it alone is loop sided and unhealthy.

9. The National Social Investment Programmes
10. The first overhaul of the Police Act since it was originally enacted in 1943.
11. Federal budgets accompanied by dedicated and specific reform legislation to support implementation

12. The Deep offshore and inland basin Act
13. The petroleum industry bill now law.
14. The TSA

15. Transformation of the Nigerian transport sector to inclusive railways across the country
16. The flag off of the Ogoni clean up
17. Private refineries, private deep sea ports
18 Completion of 7 irrigation projects; 12 inherited Dam projects; 3 inherited Hydro power projects
19. Completion of the NDDC HQ

20. Successes of our youngsters in the international scene: Wizkid, Burnaboy, Sinach; sport athletes, Anthony Joshua, etc
21. UI and Covenant universities amongst the top 1000 and 500 in the world respectively.

22. And so many other blessings numerous to mention.

23. Together with hope, unity and purpose we shall overcome; we shall Excel; we shall win: gloriously, we shall triumph.

24. Yes! It might be looking bleak and not promising but it is in such cases that God shows his super power.

25. I see a Nigeria of greatness despite all that's happening, there's still a Nigeria of my dreams awaiting announcement, waiting to be unveiled, the Nigeria soon to be unleashed, the Nigeria of mega opportunities and premium destinies.

26. The tides are turning!
The narratives are changing!
It is either you join the team or you stay left out.

27. The potentials in Nigeria is not found anywhere in the world; Nigeria is the depot of global mega destinies; the salvation of cosmos is in residual in the soil of Nigeria.

28. Nigeria is blessed.
Happy 61st Independence Anniversary Nigeria
The world awaits your greatness.

29. In same vein, I extend my pleasantries to the people and Nation of Cyprus and also the Nation of Tuvalu who shares same Independence day with Nigeria.
Happy Independence Celebration to you.

30. On this note, I enjoin all Nigerians to come together, regardless of race, tribe, religion, gender, party and all forms of differences as we build our Nation and make her the pride of the earth.
WAZOBIA

31. Thank you!

Mr. Nigeria

Religion / Know More About House Of De-light Discipleship Foundation (hddf) by joshuannicholas(m): 4:12pm On Apr 03, 2021
KNOW MORE ABOUT HOUSE OF DE-LIGHT DISCIPLESHIP FOUNDATION (HDDF)

God began to tell me a lot of things. He showed me some loopholes in the body of Christ. How many people go to church but there has not really been this modelling, discipling of people, raising men on one on one basis, that is, taking people's growth very very personal, getting down to the people and teaching them the word of God and helping them to grow. Then I think he told me that a discipleship school is possible and there were a lot of things I might not necessarily be able to share here right now because it is a very long vision but when he said a discipleship school is possible I didn't really understand what that meant so I had to call some of the people that I was involved with. Then I had to call them up, then I told them about it and said 'okay, what we are going to be doing is that we are going to be looking for people who want to grow then we are going to appoint them amongst ourselves. Then the way I treated them is the same way they will also treat others to see that people also grow.'

That was what I did and I had to attach some few persons to the people I raised and we started it but I think at a point it was not really going through because people did not really understand what I was trying to say because I didn't really understand properly what the Holy Spirit was trying to tell me.

I think one of the days I was praying concerning it and the Holy Spirit began to speak to me again. He reminded me of the vision, the open vision I saw and began to explain deeper to me, you know, he told me about a discipleship forum that would be there to help people grow spiritually. Not just spiritually, it is more like this is a place where young men and women will be raised and trained. They will be relevant in every aspect of life they find themselves and not just that, they will be there as an arrowhead for the kingdom of God.

So they will be raised in a structured platform where their growth will be monitored and will be systematic and it can be measured. This is very very important. So that was it and also began to expand the vision, talked about a medical institute and also a christian radio media station which will help disseminate kingdom information to Nigeria, Africa, to the world and also propagate the gospel and also it will be more like a trumpet that will sound the alarm. One of the scriptures that we had was Joel 2:1, it says 'blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm, prepare the day of God's jubilee.' So the media is one of the tool that God has given us which is the trumpet to use to sound the alarm of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and also prepare the saints, not just gathering people for Sunday services, but having a strong discipleship platform that when people come they enrol and are taken through these processes and they come out of it 'brutafied','firized' and engraced with everything that is needed to impact their generation positively.

So that is just a little summary of the vision. So I think that should be on October 2018, that was when I received the vision. I think the third week of October 2018, that was when I received the vision and a couple of times I revisit the vision, read about the vision, I got to understand it better and it kept enlarging and I began to understand the depth of the vision and how to go about it. So along the process of time, the understanding of the vision became clearer.

Actually the vision has four heads. One of it is the missions (the crusades and the soul winning head and the training, etc), then we have the medical institute. Then we now have the media. Let me just use the word media; the radio, television, etc; then number four is about a resort garden. An international resort centre that is going to be built. It's going to attract tourists just to come to the place and as they are coming to hear God, they are coming to an environment that God inhabits.

Now the media which cuts across the radio and television, while I was trusting God that we just have to start from somewhere, what God told was, he was going to connect me with people to work with.
God has given me the blueprint of how it's going to be runned. It's just to have people around that will partner, connect, be part of the vision, that have the experience, then we will start pushing forward. I'm trusting God in a short time from now God is going to be connecting us. Just like the way he did for the medicals.

So basically the vision is the making of men and women whose lives become living ministries as they dispel the kingdom of darkness in every sphere of human endeavours by the administration of revelation of light contained in God's word as they become God's delight. When you read it in the book of Isaiah 62:1-12, you will see the details of it. Where God said that 'I God will not rest until I see your righteousness glow as brightness and your salvation as a lamp that burneth and gentiles will see your light and they will come into the understanding of God.' And to carry this mandate, like, the mandate we were given is to raise and train ten million disciples all over the world in fifteen years and more beyond beginning from 2020. So evangelism has to do with their organisation of crusades, outreaches, missions, seminars and conferences.

The establishing, equipping, and extending; these are the structured discipleship program that will help everyone that comes into the umbrella to go through and become that which the vision is talking about. So the extending has to do with Believers' Nestling Foundation Course. This is the course that helps build a solid foundation for our Christian walk with God then equipping has to do with the Believers' Fledged Growth Course. This is a higher form of the Believers' Nestling Foundation Course. Then we have the extending, the Believers' Eagle Matured Course.

Now I was told that every believer that goes through this program, this structured discipleship program successfully, will at the end of the day become an eagled christian. So that is just part of it. That is the mandate we were given and I just believe that God will have his way in everything we do and by the grace of God 2019 we had our first crusade. Okay, the first crusade we had it in Kogi state, Ajaokuta precisely and by the grace of God it was massive.
We had souls, souls were won, there were healings, deliverances, miracles and we were able to give out clothing materials, welfare packages to the community.

While 2020 we went to Kwara state.
We were able to touch four communities; Basoyin, Fajeromi, Okanle.
Four communities in number we were able to reach out to. This time around, we started the medical outreach with full force and we thank God for divine provision. We were able to reach out to people medically, spiritually we brought the gospel. We saw Muslims, traditional worshippers giving their lives to Christ. We saw healings; blind eyes opened, deaf heard, the lame walked, all manner of miracles. Over fifty souls were won for Christ in three days in that community. It was a massive help we received from God.

Politics / Anambra Guber: Walter Ubaka Okeke Warns Against Political Violence by joshuannicholas(m): 11:57am On Mar 28, 2021
By Amb Timothy Nwachukwu

Walter Ubaka Okeke, A Frontline Anambra Gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) and
The Managing Director/CEO of Richwood and Richland International has warned that Nigeria is beset by the cankerworm of political and electoral violence which to all intents and purposes retards democratic
consolidation, brings disenchantment and disillusionment in the entire polity, He has therefore called on the Federal and State Governments to take stringent measures to forestall the ugly incident towards the build up of November 6th Anambra Gubernatorial Election.

Chief Walter Ubaka Okeke spoke on the backdrop of the Violence which erupted during the by-election held in Abia State. He expressed fear that the realities that spelt doom for the past republics are still endemic and prevalent in Nigeria today. He opined that poverty, unemployment, hunger, corruption, politically
motivated killings, abductions, religious bigotry are conspicuous in Nigeria’s political firmament.

The renowned Oil and gas Consultant proferred that to obliterate and reduce political violence to the barest minimum, pragmatic and proactive effort must be made by those in positions of authority to reduce poverty, thus people would not be pawns in the hands of
politicians in orchestrating political violence.

He further advised that youth employment should be vigorously embarked upon and objectively implemented without prejudice to give the vast majority of Nigerian youths the opportunity to be gainfully engaged in productive ventures.

He urged political parties to play politics according to the rules of the game by Promoting internal democracy, refraining from politics of desperation which oscillate the polity and swing it to the precipice of violence.

He called on politicians to eschew the use of ethnicity and religion to galvanize support and polarize the populace through politics of religious deception and ethnic chauvinism which have stirred up sentiments
and sparked communal violence perennially in Nigeria.

He reaffirmed the urgent need for Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and relevant agencies such as the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to embark on vigorous education and value-orientation and re-orientation aimed at repositioning democratic institutions in Nigeria.

Chief Walter Ubaka Okeke called on the government and judicial authorities to carry out the prosecutions of persons implicated in political violence whatever their political affiliations; those to be prosecuted should include persons
who ordered or organized the violence as well as those who carried it out.

Romance / Communication! The Key To The Door Of A lasting Relationship by Gift Eriobu by joshuannicholas(m): 8:55pm On Feb 16, 2021
Communication! The Key to the Door of a Loving/Lasting Relationship❤️

_by Gift Eriobu_

Communication

This is a prime factor to resolving misunderstandings. Hmm...you might be okay from your end with someone but from the person's end, something is not right.

Until you communicate with the other person is your significant other, you'll be so shocked at what the person has concluded about you in his or her heart though he or she still laugh and plays with you. Funny enough, you don't have to take it personal because, the situation surrounding the whole issue is enough reason for him or her to assume or draw conclusions.

Note: Not that the person is not bad but the situation on ground may force him or her into making conclusions about you. Be considerate, try to see reasons from his end, don't be angry, just follow with wisdom.

✔️Talk about the issue. It helps to unveil a lot in the heart. Then trash it out. Forgive where necessary and ask for forgiveness where necessary. I'm sorry or I forgive you won't kill you, it strengthens that relationship.
Don't let it be about yourself, see from the other person's end and let it go!

Relationships can be father to daughter, leader to follower, husband to wife, fiance to fiancee and so on.

Above all, we are to yield to the Holy spirit. Definitely, he will prompt us to do some certain things but our pride won't let us.
It is character people will see and know whether we know this Jesus no matter the anointing we carry.
We can avoid certain prolonged issues if we yield to the voice inside.
God will help us, Amen!

Romance / After Val What Comes Up Next By Clever Miracle Moses by joshuannicholas(m): 10:51am On Feb 13, 2021
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. ( 1st Cor. 10:23)

After the merriment, fun, flexing, enjoyment, the spendings, in the name of Valentine's day( lovers day), beloved have you ever asked yourself, what comes up next?

We engage ourselves in mere things that doesn't glorify the name of God. No wonder the Bible said, "the god of this age has blinded their eyes".
We forget that every thing that has advantage equally has disadvantage, when you are thinking of the gain, equally think of the lost".

If Valentine should be celebrated, I think it should be celebrated in churches, among Christians and married couples in rememberance of St. Valentine who risked his life and violated the law of King Claudius just to wed couples who are in love. Yes, that is true love.
Remember, I said two couples who are about to wed, not boyfriend neither girlfriend who are dating or just starting a relationship.

Today, we abuse the word 'Valentine' and some girls engage in immoral acts just to keep their man. Some guys see it as an avenue to get what they want.
My Mama will always tell me" wait untill you are cooked" you don't do things just because others are doing it.

If you must be in a relationship, you need to gain proper understanding and knowledge before engaging in it.
King Solomon once said, "Awake not love until it please."( Song of Solomon 8:4).
Being in a relationship is not wrong but the timing can be. We used the wrong timing and that's why we end up being doomed, at last.

Kiing Solomon also said, "All is vanity upon vanity". ( Ecclesiaste 1:14, 11 :cool
Love is a beautiful thing, when we celebrate it with our father, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" No, matter how our love ones love us, I don't think they can risk their life for us. The only person who can do that is Jesus Christ.
His love is always Reckless upon our life"
Beloved let's do well to celebrate our Valentine's day with Christ.
Love is a beautiful thing ❤️
Have a rethink of mind.
Jesus loves us.

Happy Valentine in advance.

_The time has come to make our Nation great again_

*NIGERIAN FOODS*

Nigeria as the giant of Africa is a western African country on the Gulf of Guinea which boasts of a population of about 174 million. Nigerians are proud of their culture, especially their food. It is hard to meet a Nigerian who isn’t big on food.

Nigerian dishes are the best, comprising of rich mineral contents and a full dose of balanced diet. It is time for the Nigerian people to market the rich food heritage deposited in the country by God.

Our foods should be made ready for exports, packaged and distributed around the world as a blessing from Africa.
The hundreds of ethnic groups in Nigeria make it more colourful to our dishes, increasing the species of our foods and delicious delicacies.

We are therefore calling on the international community to come to Nigeria and partake of the 'many food blessings' found in the country; to eat, and also take to their various countries these delicious delicacies can only be found in Nigeria.
We are also calling on the Federal Government of Nigeria to bring their focus down to our food sector, encourage local food vendors, create opportunities whereby they can send these foods and cuisines to the diaspora. If the FG can observe a day for a National food exhibition, where all the world will come and see the varieties of foods we have in our dear Nation, it isn't a bad idea.

‘Swallow’ is a term used in Nigeria to describe the starchy foods that accompany soups. They are called so because they are not chewed but are swallowed in small balls after scooping some soup into it with your fingers. Some popular swallows in Nigeria include eba, starch, fufu, pounded yam, tuwo shinkafa etc.

In today's edition, we will be looking at one of our delicious delicacy from the southern part of the Country. It is called *AFANG SOUP*

Afang Soup
Ingredients: Grounded Afang leaves, water leaves dry fish, beef, ukazi leaves, snails (optional), extracted periwinkles, stock fish, seasoning cubes, palm oil, fresh pepper and salt.

How to prepare: Wash the meat and stock fish and cook till it soft. Put the stock fish, periwinkles, dry fish and beef in the main soup pot and boil for about 2-5 minutes using the water that was used to prepare the beef and stock fish. If the water isn’t enough just add a little. Afang soup taste well when it’s rich and not overly diluted.

Add enough palm oil, crayfish, seasoning cubes, grounded pepper, snails, salt to taste and stir allow cooking for 3-5 minutes. pour in the water leaves in the pot, allow it to simmer for 5 minutes before adding the ground ukazi. Stir altogether and cover the pot. Allow the soup to simmer for about 5 minutes and then bring it down from fire. You can eat it with fufu, eba or pounded yam.

God bless Nigeria!

Politics / Vacancy Vacancy Vacancy: Office Of The Citizen Federal Republic Of Nigeria by joshuannicholas(m): 8:12pm On Jan 23, 2020
VACANCY VACANCY VACANCY: OFFICE OF THE CITIZEN FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
HOW TO APPLY

_By Mr. NIGERIA_

The office of the Citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is in dire need of marketers, truth defenders, unity breeders, peace negotiators, men and women of integrity, inventors, social activists, etc.

The office of the Governor is been exalted; but i want to ask a question, can there be a Governor without a governed?
The office of the Senator is been exalted too; I also want to ask, can there be Senator without a senatorial zone?

The office of the House of Representatives is been exalted: permit me to ask, can there be a representative, without a Constituency?

For every Government offices and positions, there is a greater position. The office of the Citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is the greatest but most neglected throne in the land. How powerful a leader will become, is dependent on the treasures of his followers.

We want to see this office exercising her full audacity and influence in the Governing process. If the president requires the vote from this office to become president, then there's no gainsaying the fact that the office of the Citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has been marginalized and subjected to a mere passive object in running the affairs of the State.

The office of the citizen is that long neglected arm of government called the civil society. In modern democracy the arms of government spills a new classification, which is the executive, legislator, judiciary and the civil society group. Governance really is about the people and this social contract is laid down in the constitution of Nigeria. Section 14 subsections 2 a-c of the 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria as amended, provides that sovereignty belongs to the people of Nigeria from whom government through the constitution derives all its power and authority, that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of governance and the participation by the people in their government shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.

Nigerian citizens who are plagued by the ineptitude of her leaders have completely lost confidence in their own faith, faced with the rigors of existence. His exalted office still remains a fluke to him. His life is shred at the mercy of his circumstances. His hope is tired of motivation as he hopes against hope. He is unemployed, underemployed or unemployable. He has long forgotten his right to life as he snoozes under stomach infrastructural schemes. He worships the dubious politicians to find a square meal to his name. Afterward, he makes endless arguments with good memories then takes off his shirt at nightfall in search for a place to pass the night.
The office of the Citizen has lost its beauty, we have thrown away our Glory. That exalted office is more than what we are living out, it is more than putting food on the table, it is more than attaching ourselves to one "big man"; that office is a preserver, a builder, a pathfinder and a defender of generations unborn.
The Nigerians that are to come awaits us, as we take our place and begin to function in our offices.
The citizen can make Nigeria great.
The citizen can change the status quo.
The citizen can determine whether we keep failing, or start winning.

Where are the office holders of the office of the citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?

We therefore, use this medium to call on every Nigerian to start acting in the capacity of the office of the Citizen, Federal Republic of Nigeria and use the powers embedded in the office positively to push for better Governance in the State.

We also call on the Federal Government of Nigeria to kick against every form of discrimination and operate an open Government, where the office of the citizen is not neglected but included, even in the decision making process. We are certain that this will give rise to a fair and inclusive Government.

Without presiding citizens, there is no president.
Without the governed, there is no Governor.
Without the people, there is no representative.

We pay you and vote you into power to take care of us. We trust you with our resources to use them rationally.

There is a Clarion call! This Nation needs you more than ever. These are trying times for our democracy, these are trying times for our economy, these are trying times for our youths, our women, our children and every other phenomenon represented in our dear country.

Dear Nigerians, there is so much vacancy in the office of the Citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; please don't let us down.
As we all move towards our goal, our cumulative success is dependent on the progress of our dear Nation.
Nigeria will win again

God bless Nigeria

Unizik Oji Ofor festival: One of South's East Most participated cultural festivals

By Joshua Nicholas

The Comr. Joseph Okafor led Unizik SUG has Thursday hosted the Oji Ofor festival in grand style, making it one of the best cultural events in South Eastern Nigeria.
The cultural festival bursted into limelight with the numerous programs borne out of creativity incorporated into the event by the organizers

Indeed Joseph Okafor a young visionary leader, has cemented his legacy in history ville for hosting such a ground breaking, epoch making and record bearing cultural carnival in Awka, Anambra State.
The cultural festival also played host to a cultural exhibition which had different categories to promote and portray the blessedness of the African culture. Some of which were: African Foods, African Arts, African Fashion, Cultural dance, Traditional wrestling, Igwe and Lolo coronation, etc.

The Oji Ofor cultural festival presented N50,000 each to 8 winners from the various categories of the cultural exhibitions. Students also won other consolation prizes like TV sets, generators, powerbanks, phone chargers, rechargeable fans, home theatres, pressing irons, all ranging to over 600 items.
The event also offered a whooping 10 round trip tickets with GUO motors to any part of the country and lots of consolatory prizes.

One of the winners, Iweama Anthonia Chikaosolu a 400l student of Mass Communication Unizik, expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the festival.
In her words: "As s food exhibitor, I really didn't have fun because my stand was filled with people rushing to get my food. But my sacrifices paid off because I won a Royal table refrigerator.
I will like to say a very big thank you to the present Students Government led by Comr. Joseph Okafor for putting up such an event to promote our culture."

The cultural festival which was hosted by the Comr. Joseph Okafor led Unizik SUG in partnership with Spine communication had the primary intention to reinstate the Igbo culture in the lives of the students and also absent the youths from popular culture, cultural domination, cultural synchronization and the current globalists movement which suppresses the African culture, and puts it in a hidden hole; which our fear is that in the coming years to come, the cultural heritage of the black man might go into extinction, if we don't all rise up.

Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, encompassing language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts.

The Center for Advance Research on Language Acquisition goes a step further, defining culture as shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs and understanding that are learned by socialization. Thus, it can be seen as the growth of a group identity fostered by social patterns unique to the group.

"Culture encompasses religion, food, what we wear, how we wear it, our language, marriage, music, what we believe is right or wrong, how we sit at the table, how we greet visitors, how we behave with loved ones, and a million other things, movement to put the African culture in the hidden holes and render it irrelevant.

The Comr. Joseph Okafor led Unizik SUG has held the best Annual Public lecture so far in the history of the institution having in attendance high profile dignitaries and extraordinary public and private sector role models as speakers for the event.

The program held on Monday at the Varsity Multipurpose hall, featured great lectures that impacted every one in attendance.
Top Government officials from Anambra State and the South East region were present; academics, career development experts, etc, which all together detonated their extensive wealth of experience during the several lectures.

The climax of it was the lecture delivered by Hon. Elijah Onyeagba who motivated the students, inspired them and shared his own life experience to how he made it to where he is today.
He spoke extensively about how the Nigerian student can get employed even right in school and become valuable to the economy, the Nation and the society.
Although rephrased, he advised the Unizik students to enroll for project management classes, develop skills, apply for training with online certification, and build up qualifications as only the school certificate will not make you relevant in the outside world. He also told the students to use their devices, phones, and the Internet to grow and draw out knowledge, discouraging online addiction for fun and chatting.
He gifted a student who figured out a puzzle he shared to the audience a sum of N10,000.00.
Hon. Onyeagba was also given an award of Honour by the leadership of the NAU Students.

The public lecture was indeed worth attending; events like this occurs once in a lifetime and the impacts remains for Years and years.

I therefore extol the virtues of the Comr. Joseph Okafor led Unizik SUG and commend for her laudable efforts in her relentless inputs for the desire of a better and greater Unizik.
Indeed, you are a leader with a difference.

Education / What Are Our Chances Of Achieving The SDG No 4? Say Yes To Education by joshuannicholas(m): 3:40am On Jul 06, 2019
*What are our Chances of Achieving the SDG No. 4? Say Yes to Education*

By Joshua Nicholas

In September 2015, at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit, Member States formally adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in New York. The agenda contains 17 goals including a new global education goal (SDG 4). SDG 4 is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’ and has seven targets and three means of implementation.

Despite the poor academic performance and the low level of education in Nigeria, what are our chances of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially the Goal No. 4 that has to do With education.

In a developing economy like ours, where education is not considered as part of the trivial issues to address, what is the fate of the Nigerian child? Where do he or she stands in the coming years? Are the children still the leaders of tomorrow?

With a consistent under performing budget for the educational sector over the years, with about 6-10% allocation of the National budget, we doubt the relevance of the mainstream education to the Nigerian Government.
Ranging from widespread illiteracy in the Northeast, to extreme poverty in the land; and increasing index of Out-of-school children in the country, the educational sector needs revamping, private sector interference and genuine intervention.

It is on this premise, that Young Mind Advancement Program YAP, has been saddled with the responsibility to rescue the country's education from getting into a debris.

YAP has been in operation for over a decade now, with mind blowing results and extraordinary inputs into the Nations education.
Over the years, YAP has been involved directly and indirectly in creating programmes, executing projects and implementing schemes that will bring smiles to the face of that neglected Nigerian child.
She has been able to help so many students get their basic and SSCE certificate (WAEC) and have helped some others secure admission and scholarship through university
She continually provides scholarship to 5 - 20 students, depending on their numbers, pay for their WAEC fees, etc.

We have been hosting seminars for secondary school students, provide then with lectures on career choices, leadership skills, entrepreneurial trainings, etc; after which Books, bags, flasks etc are given to all the participating students and their teachers as well.

Young Mind Advancement Program is founded by Hon. Princess Bibiana Nwankwo (Ada APGA), whose passion for improving the quality and standard of education in Nigeria is second to none.
"Our major aim is to educate the young wards which if not put in the right direction will grow to become a burden to the society.
It's my own quota in the development of my country to help breed a crime free country, free from school dropouts, prostitution, robbery, etc. We are currently working on expanding the program to the 36 states of the country. It gives me joy to impact on people positively" She added.

YAP also advocates against abuses, gender inequality, poverty for women and illiteracy.

To an end note, we need more problem solvers in our society today, just like Hon. Princess Nwankwo, you too can bring smiles on people's faces.
One of the challenges we have today in our society is that we have alot of problems without solutions, a lot problem identifiers and solution seekers.
You can build NIGERIA! It only takes a committed heart and a willing soul.
The future of Nigeria is in our hands. Let's make our future generation proud. SDG No 4. Is achievable with me and you working together; let's not leave all for the Government.

Crime / Commentary On Drug Abuse And Illicit Trafficking By Solomon Obi by joshuannicholas(m): 3:49pm On Jun 28, 2019
COMMENTARY ON DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

By AFRICANA LEAGUE in Commemoration of the 2019 International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking #Health4Justice, #Justice4Health
Written by Solomon Obi

The International day against drug abuse illicit trafficking is a United Nations international day against drug abuse and the illegal trade. It has since been observed annually on 26 June. This observance was instituted by the United Nations general assembly resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Health for Justice. Justice for Health.” The theme highlights justice and health are two sides of the same coin when it comes to addressing drug problems, and that effective responses to the world drug problem require inclusive and accountable institutions of criminal justice, health, and social services to work hand in hand to provide integrated solutions, that are in line with the international drug control conventions, human rights obligations and sustainable development goals.
Drug Abuse, according to the World Health Organization, is “the harmful or hazardous use of psychoactive substances, including alcohol and illicit drugs.” Drug Abuse is a menace to the society and the world, a UN’s 2007 world drug report put the value of illegal drug trade at US$322 billion a year and today, more than 7 million people suffer from an illicit drug disorder and one in four deaths results from illicit drug use.
Over the years, Nigeria has had an increasing drug abuse profile, according to a survey supported by the United Nations office and drugs and crime and the European Union, about 14.3 million Nigerians representing about 14.4 percent of the country’s population between the ages of 15 and 64, were said to have abused drugs in the past one year.
This is indeed very worrisome because of the deleterious effects of drugs or substance abuse on both the abuser and the society. The most disturbing about the Nigerian report is that, at 14.4 percent, the prevalence doubles the 2016 global average of 5.6 percent. But given the rate at which the habit is spreading, it is expected that the rate will further increase and might become an epidemic in a country that lacks the capacity to handle it.
The report carried out by the National Bureau of Statistics and Centre for Research and Substance Abuse, showed that the drug problem was more pronounced in the south than in the north, contrary to what people were led to believe in the past.
Apart from drugs such as cocaine, heroin and amphetamines, abused by the elites and high net individuals, the most abused substance is cannabis, taken by 10.6 million Nigerians out the 14.3 million that took drugs last year. This makes cannabis, perhaps next to alcohol, by the most commonly abused substance in the country. But also very popular among youths, probably due to their affordability, are prescription drugs such as tramadol, codeine, antibiotics, cough syrup and laxatives.
A lot needs to be done in curtailing the huge negative effects of illicit drugs in the society and the world in general. There should be a global grassroots centered initiative organized by all governments of the world, in support of harm reduction and drug policies that prioritize public health and human rights. This will seek to put harm reduction on the political agenda by strengthening the mobilization capacity affected communities and their allies, opening dialogue with policy makers and raising awareness among the media and the public.
The effects of drug abuse are much and vary depending on the type of drug, how much and how often it’s taken and the person’s general health. The effects include weakened immune system, nausea and abdominal pain, weight loss, liver failure, stroke, brain damage, lung disease, problems with memory, heart conditions and a host of others. Youths among others who fall prey to this menace become unproductive and are compelled to sustain the vicious cycle of drug abuse against the stability and safety of other citizens in the Nigeria state.
Youths are vital to national development; our health against drug abuse therefore is a matter of priority and in fact, a matter of fundamental right. For African league, this right extends to rights to effective criminal justice prosecution against Drug Traffickers, rights to access adequate information against drug abuse; right to effective and continuous psycho-social support for drug users; right to access rehabilitation centers and medications cheaply and easily within local communities; and rights to speak out actively against drug abuse. No part of these rights should be underestimated. Drug abuse is life abuse and hence, socially mobilized security against drug abuse is a measure to prevent threats and to ensure security to lives of Nigerians.
Africana League is actively supporting the global efforts to promote the 2019 theme across Nigeria. To this end, we have undertaken a media sensitization tour to three radio stations; Raypower FM 101.5Abuja, Kiss Fm, Abuja and Buzz FM 89.7 where we advocated for the decriminalization of drug abuse and a grass root approach towards rehabilitation of drug users; and sensitizing Secondary School students in the coming week on proactively understanding Red Flags of negative peer influences. We are also providing psycho-social support to people in local communities in the Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna state to share their challenges with Counselors who would direct them on effective means of sustainable support.
All key stakeholders like the Government, NGOs, Civil Societies, Concerned Citizens and others, should participate by organizing seminars, talks, workshops and other programs that will help in creating awareness about the dangers of illicit drugs in the society and what can be done to change it for the better.

Nairaland / General / Beyond The Crisis: YAPJEN To Nigeria, Celebrating Democracy At 20 by joshuannicholas(m): 8:14am On Jun 13, 2019
Beyond the Crisis:
(YAPJEN TO NIGERIA)
#democracy@20

By Joshua Nicholas

In this piece, YAPJEN identified the various challenges facing the nation, seeing beyond the Crisis and hoping for a glorious emergence of a Great Nation.

Some of our core and most identified problems are as follows:
Massive unemployment, particularly among youths - many of whom are educated and skilled.

Lack of Education and the decline of the already fainting educational system. Zero education for poor women.

Insurgency especially in the northern region of the country; which has sent thousands of Nigerians to an unprepared death. A network of pointless group waging war against the nation sponsored by some religious bigotry.
Giving way for terrorism and wanton destruction of lives and property in the North-Eastern part of the country by Boko Haram leading to what the United Nations (UN) in March 2017 described as the worst humanitarian crises since the creation of the UN,as hundreds of people who survived the crisis are homeless, and on the verge of starving to death. Mind boggling slaughtering of Nigerians in the Middle-Belt and other parts of the country by rampaging Fulani herdsmen (who have recently been globally and appropriately classified as terrorists) wreaking havoc on lives and property across the country
Also, all manner of ethnic and religious crisis that are creating fear and distrust amongst Nigerians, this fueling the clamour for the restructuring of the country, and even agitations for break up of the country

Militancy in the southern region resulting to oil theft and other upheavals in the oil producing region of the country. This has led to the loss of hundreds of thousands of barrels of crude oil for mono economy like ours, where we solely depend on crude oil to survive.

Astronomical increase and hyper inflation in prices of essential commodities, resulting in a situation where the majority of the citizens can no longer afford the basic necessities of life.

Pervasive poverty and extreme hunger in the land with many Nigerians, particularly children are on the verge of starvation. Infact Nigeria has been described as "the poverty capital of the world".

Continuing under-performance in the power sector which is shifting business enterprises and stunting industrialization and development, particularly the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) which constitutes the engine of economic growth, particularly in a developing economy like ours.

What should we do? Should we keep wailing on all that has gone wrong? No! This is a time to rise and take responsibility.
It's a time to chase off all these problems with our sincere commitment to the development of Nigeria.

On this epoch making event of 20 years of Democracy, we shall continue to move forward and never go backward.
Together with YAPJEN, we can turn all the negative tides to a glorious future.
Insurgency can end, poverty can be alleviated, illiteracy will be abolished, inflation will cease, our energy level will increase.

We see the billows of the sea, we hear the clattering of the clouds but we clutter them up inconveniently; they were supposed to be coherent to avoid this decrepit state and curb debris.

We can be devout and Juggernaut in our religions, but hat doesn't embrace distraction and duel of ethnicity. We must run the errand, fascinating our freedom of democracy, avoiding fury and resisting gales; gleaning all our mishaps and unfortunate incident recorded by history.

I thank our great past leaders for their enormous commitment to raising up this nation to where it is today. Though we might not have gotten to the promised land. Their task were great, their trust were solid and their sacrifices are beyond explanations save but a few.

Though the road may seem so uphill but we shall continue to ride. The psalmist rightly says "The Lord is Nigerian Shepherd we shall not want.

He maketh us to lie down in green pastures, he restoreth our soul. He leadeth us in the path of righteousness for his name sake. Yea, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear no evil; for thou art with us , thy rod and thy staff, they comfort us. Thou preparedst a table before us in the presence of our enemies, thou anointed our head with oil, our cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

These are the words of the 23rd psalm although rephrased which we believe in that the still Waters of peace resides with us. If only we be faithful to the ideals of our patriots and founding fathers.
Beyond the Crisis is the Glory!

*God bless Nigeria!*
*God bless Nigerians!!*

*Please share if you believe in Nigeria and you want God to be her Shepherd*

Herald! The Emerging Nigeria
(YAPJEN TO NIGERIA)
#democracy@20

By Joshua Nicholas

The Glory of Nigeria has been hidden with some covering cast, and we are on the mission to removing it.
The better and brighter days will come: that is why the Youth Advocates for Peace, Justice and Empowerment Network (YAPJEN), is so careful about tackling these surmounting problems and unveiling the Glorious Nigeria, the Nigeria to emerge.

Although, Nigeria has a smaller economy than some of European developing countries with just 5-10 million people like Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Montenegro or Norway and a lower GDP per capita than the likes of Albania, Guatemala or Mongolia which are all considered poor countries, yet we are still resolute about our quest and pursuit for a better Nigeria.

Nigeria remains firmly in the low human development category, placing 157 among 189 countries on the UNDP Human Development Index in 2017, compared to Brazil at 79, South Africa 113 and war ravaged Iraq at 120.
While Brazil moved 20 million persons out of poverty in eight years, Nigeria moved 93 million into "extreme poverty" to displace India as world champion. Inheriting an exchange rate of N91 to $1 in 1999, today's official exchange rate is N302 to $1. (Source: The Punch). It won't change our mindset about the Emerging Nigeria or reduce our commitment in any way.

The National Bureau of Statistics just confirmed 16 million Nigerians jobless. Our education is in a bizzare state not even to Behold, only about 30% have access to clean water USAID.
Poverty has swept all across the streets of Nigeria and the gap between the 'haves' and 'havenot' is something to fear about. Yet there is a future for our country, the one we don't mind sacrificing everything to behold.

Indeed our problems are frightening; but what can we do in this seemingly bleak future of ours?
Do we still have a place in destiny?
It's not over yet;

YAPJEN have a dream of a new Nigeria to emerge.

_"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live_
_out the true meaning of its creed._
_I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and_ _mountain shall be made low,.... and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all_ _flesh shall see it together._ "
Just like Martin Luther King Jnr had a dream for America which later showed up long after he was gone.

I also have a dream that one day
Nigeria would be a nation of pride and dignity, second to none in the international community.

I have a dream that one day every city, state or town will be developed just the same way Lagos is; that every part of Nigeria will be a commercial and booming city.

I have a dream that one day all the tribes in Nigeria will no longer strive, neither will they fight; but they will be engaged in constructive competition, drive for excellence and the spirit of unity and love. From the Calabari kingdom in the down south to the Zazzau kingdom in the far north.

I have a dream that one day our children will have enough schools just the way we have the grocery shops; and education will no longer be a thing of concern, as almost every child in Nigeria will be educated and our Tertiary institutions will be as many to accommodate all.

I have a dream that one day Nigeria will truly stand as the Giant of Africa; because all nations in her region will look to her for help
I have a dream that one day our women will stop failing and they shall stand out amongst their contemporaries all over the world. That illiteracy and poverty will be totally wiped out from the face of the Nigerian soil.

I have a dream that one day there would also be psychological effect in Nigeria when faced with power outage; that Nigerians will celebrate 10 years with constant energy.

I have a dream that one day the green passport will command international respect; as visitors from all over the world will not feel to leave

I have a dream that one day the youths of Nigeria will control the economy of the world; we will have workers from every nation been employed to work here. Our unemployment rate will reduce to 0.1 percent; hosting great entrepreneurs just like the silicon valley

If all these are my own dream; then what are yours?
If we can dream it; we can become it. Impossibility is possible. Why? Because impossibility appears before possibility in the dictionary. It means that something was impossible at the letter "I" but when it got to the letter "P" it changed to become possible!!!
Yes we can!

I believe in the Nigeria of my dreams.
Greatness or nothing else
The hall of fame or the land of history

God bless Nigeria!
The Impossibility is possible
The Nigerian Dream!!

Politics / A Must Read! How To Make The Nigerian Police Effective: Yapjen Proffers Solution by joshuannicholas(m): 7:13pm On Jun 08, 2019
*A MUST READ! How to Make The Nigerian Police Effective: YAPJEN Proffers Solution*

A Human Right, good governance and social justice advocacy group, Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government and the Inspector General of Police to take urgent steps and adopt stringent measures to redeem the image of the Nigerian Police Force and restore the confidence of the citizens in the force.

*Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu, The Executive Director, Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) has advocated that regular training programmes should be organized to enhance professionalism and productivity of the Nigerian police in the critical areas of investigation, intelligence gathering, guard duties, surveillance/conflict resolution and management, prevention of cases.*

Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu, A model United Nations Ambassador while addressing a cross section of Activitist in Awka the State capital showered encomiums on Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Danduara for the recent strides of the State Command which include the recent apprehension of the killers of an Undergraduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka who was gruesomely and senselessly
murdered and her body dropped at Government quarters Awka,
arrest of Cultist and criminals rampaging within the state.

*YAPJEN Executive Director however identified Corrupt Practices as the bane of effective
Policing in Nigeria.*

He stated that Policing in Nigeria has been bedevilled by a culture of corruption and lack of accountability as some police officers engage in various
forms of extortion of money from the public at several check point while some citizens are made to part with their hard earned resources at ATM point, thus leaving their victims and helpless citizens losing hope in the police whose primary duty is to secure it's citizens.

The Peoples Advocate as he is widely known pointed out that Insufficient funding by the Government
has impeded the performance of the security Agency.

He stated that unknown to many Nigerians, most police officers buy the cloth materials for their uniforms and sew them with their personal money, buy their shoes, buy recharge cards to make calls on cases.

He stated that the only thing the Nigeria Police officers don’t buy for themselves is perhaps their guns and bullets as most times even the guns are fastened around their shoulders with whatever ropes they can hands upon and
He therefore called on the Federal Government to increase it's budgetary allocation to the police force.

Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu charged the Leadership of the Nigeria Police force to intensify its partnership with civil Society organizations in holding seminars, symposia, workshops and conferences aimed at changing the minds of its personnel on corruption as to enhance their integrity.
