Pls I need tour input. So my brother os going to Canada for a church anniversary and he got an invitation letter already, someone in the church is also his sponsor.
Here are my questions.
Iz it compulsory he submits his own personal statement asides the sponsor's statement?
How much shoukd he put as what he intends to spend there for 7 days cos the sponsor has stated in the letter that he's solely responsible for accomodation, living expenses and transportation.

Regarding the amount he should state for expenses, since the sponsor is handling accommodation, living costs, and transport, he can list a modest sum for personal expenses — around $1000 to $2000 CAD should be reasonable for 7 days. This would cover small personal purchases, emergency funds, and incidentals.

Also, ensure he includes:

The invitation letter from the church.
The sponsor’s letter clearly stating the financial support.
Proof of the sponsor’s financial capacity (like bank statements or employment details).
Strong ties to his home country (work letter, family commitments, or property documents) to show he intends to return.

Note: Ensure that your sponsor notifies Ircc about your invites, If you don't have a reference on your invite that's been authenticate by Ircc is automatic refusal.

Currently, Ircc is looking into all documents. You must meet all to be approved. There's a high rate of refusal and a lot of people are wondering why? The answer is not far fetch. First check your purpose of travelling, if it's students route you want get all your documents from the school, also pay part of your tuition fee to convince the consular you have the funds. No lump sum, endure appropriate transaction get a reasonable amount of of pof 35m and above and carefully write your sop. Check for gaps in your education and ensure you fill appropriate vacuum. Students visa needs enough carefulness. Go through it with diligence. No rush. Ircc are cutting down on the number of immigrants so before submitting cross-check it very well. For tourist. Ensure that the purpose of your travel is defined and if you are going for a program or conference check if the program has a reference from Ircc. Most programs and conferences in Canada are not known by Ircc by so doing you will be refused on the basis of your business purpose. There are programs that are meant for only people in Canada and not for international. So, I advise you check conferences that are for international and get the ticket. From Eventbrite or Globalvisaconference. For the pof ensure your statement is above 7m and get all your documents ready. Tips for tourists., get a hotel reservation and flight reservation. The process is the same as B.sc. I will recommend some good Engineering school here, National University of Radio Electronics, Kharkiv. Is good. The first thing you need is an Iv. IV is not costly.if you have someone that can help you to do it, is cool. I can help you if you want, all is required is your passports and credentials. Iv takes only one working day to come out. Then sending the documents via DHl cost around 2579 uah, about 96 dollars app.$100. It will take 3 working days for dhl to deliver to Nigeria. Then you get all your documents ready, pay for visa express, pay for visa fee around 95k(naira). Go for interview. Visa processing takes 10 working days to be out. Book your flight. There are no hidden things here. $2000 is not enough for both school fees and feeding, unless you have questions. And for someone who is asking if I'm working or not, if someone asked me? Guy, I don't need you to ask me that question, a lot of us (Nigerians) are not true to their people. You can work legitimately with your povidska not a call center job. And earn decent money. There are some decent jobs in Ukraine, although you can't compare the pay with Eu countries or American. But it can pay your bills and give you food. Some don't know how to get a job for their clients even if it's just a $500 job per month. The client will appreciate your efforts. Don't just collect money � from your clients only. Help them with jobs also, I think they will appreciate it.

I ran into some financial setback before my Visa was out. I couldn't come up with enough fund and every effort to get loan from people prove abortive. Just having $2000 with me now and I have a cousin living in Ukraine. My flight is this week Sunday.

is $2000 the total money you have for both school fees and feeding? I have been in Kharkov for 6months now, I work and earn a decent pay in logistics.

I have my resident permit bro. I'm not saying you don't need it. I pick people with my permit, not necessarily with the permit letter, get my point.

Flight ✈️ ticket differs, you can get from 700k to 850k, it's not fixed. If you are traveling to Kharkiv, don't just book your flight going to Kyiv. You might be so unlucky and immigration will nap you. Moreover metro from Kyiv to Kharkiv is like 5 to 6 hours journey. I don't advise such. For those saying I should correct myself as of pick up. I have picked someone at the airport without a pick-up letter. The person waited for some time, say 2hours. I can speak Russia, and I met one of them, that I came to pick someone. So they released him.

For those planning to travel to Ukraine ��, first shine your eyes �️ very well, most Nigerian here are looking for fellow countrymen to scam. I will start by saying don't give anyone your school fees, schools here are cheap, Especially here in Kharkiv. Airport pick-up is not necessary, although you will be delayed if no one comes in to pick you up. Language is a big barrier here. Try to learn some basics, your first month. Bolt and Taxi are expensive. Try using caravan and metro. Do your documentation for the first few days. Their are few works here, but they pay is like $600 per month. The rent is super expensive. The cheapest is like $250 excluding bills. Try to manage yourself. Don't spend unnecessarily. Be focus. Before three months you will see the essence why you came to the country.
