1. I earned and graduated with First Class Degree with a CGPA of 4.64 and also I also earned an MSc Degree with a CGPA of 4.74.
2. I have eleven (11) academic publication in various international double blinded peer review journals and one (1) book publication.
3. My olevel result is 4 B's and 5 C's
4. I have one professional association membership.
5. The PTDF panel members have access to check and verify your WAEC or NECO results without scratch card pin.
6. I was asked questions regarding my proposal. The also gave their feedback and criticisms.
7. They told me good luck and I went back to Lagos.

I pray I am selected.

But the problem now is that in some venues, they didn't even ask for publications and membership. Some centres only used just 2 minutes.

Moreover, some of those who chose virtual were not attended to as interviewers didnt show up or perhaps interviewers came very late.
Many virtual applicants were not asked to show their credentials.

Why bring crowds when you can't interview them well. Shortlist to the bare minimum.

It should be noted that in some centres, they asked for publications, membership and employment letter confirmation for work experience (especially lecturers or working in the relevant sector). Some interviews lasted more than 10 mins n some centres.

There is a lack of consistency and this has resulted to flaws.

The idea of an exam would have been better for MSC due to the high population.

Interview and publications are great for PhD as it tests their research prowess.

The interview is just full of luck and not competence anymore. The best won't win due to this.

Life isn't fair after all.

Every state is allotted a number of slots. Oil producing states are given extra slots. There is no indication that any northerner has been awarded a slot in a southern state. I really don't understand the defeatist victim mentality a lot of you have.

I want intelligent people to win and make an impact.

Buhari and all Northerners cancelled the PRESSID SCHOLARSHIP which is for First class students .

Because we southerners won everything, Buhari came to power and cancelled the PRESSID Scholarship which we already won.
There is no quota system in PRESSID Scholarship and that is why northerners didn't win.

Don't worry, you will win PTDF scholarship since you are a local champion. You will be the best in your state.

The PTDF scholarship is very competitive and there are many factors influence the selection including your state of origin, course of study and politics.
Since we don't see our performance metrics .

The fact that u have enough publications and professional bodies does not a guarantee the award.

I hope things are different this year.. I mean really different...

The head of the programme said he last time, it 3 people from each state were picked for MSc and 2 for Ph.D.
Said budget constraints might affect this year and nothing was certain about him many will be picked.
Nothing is certain.

Make I used this one hold body coz I was discouraged already as my Interview is tomorrow at Ibadan. Graduated with a 2.2, had C4's in all the subjects in NECO, no publication, no professional membership.

You can get the scholarship. Be calm and fluent.

I really wish there was a way to ascertain how one is scored.
I have heard experiences of some people who had either poor grades or poor interview or no professional membership still get the award.

Its just fortune or grace, as some say. You never know what's on the minds of the interviewers or what influences their scoring...
