Well I hope Yar'adua performs the miracle Obasanjo couldnt afterall its for the benefits of nigerians. My main concern is in the power sector, if we have constant power in nigeria, then 30percent of our problems are solved, cos with constant power, the problem of petrol will definitely reduce. Looking forward to a better Nigeria |
Yar'adua has a funny way of going about things. I wonder if he believes in any thing his predecessor did. He is just changing everything and that is making him a typical nigerian. They never continue any programme or foundation laid by their predecessors. I just hope his reforming the NNPC and the Power sector will make some sense in the nearest future cos i'm tired of hearing 2020. Are we supposed to suffer till then? |
We are 8 in my house, 5 girls and 3 boys am the 2nd child and i have 6 younger ones |
MTN/MTV VJ search in nigeria is on and it is slated for this september in Abuja, Lagos, Benin, and other parts of the country. I actually saw it on Mtv base but i dont remember the exact dates and how to enter for the audition. i only remember the audition for benin centre is on the 14th of september. |
There is no need arguing over this. Dangote is rich and so what! Oprah is rich. Its not news. Let them make impact in the lives of the common man and not building some fancy school. As long as they dont make impact in the lives of the starving world out there, they are only rich for their pockets. |
@ T-Bag What do u mean NBL has no moral justification to air Ultimate search 4. is it because anthony died? Well it was inevitable, should they now stop the show forever becos one guy that couldnt avoid death got himself killed? |
Is it the same time as the last edition? I mean 10.00pm to 11.00pm. I havent had the opportunity to watch it. anyway i will look out for it. i dont actually think it is the fault of the sponsors (Gulder) that anthony died. Death came knocking and there was nothing anybody could do for him even when they tried rescuing him. The Quest to make money drove him to his death, well may he rest in peace. |
Its funny how we nigerians do things. How come Soludo never thought about re-dominating the naira before he come up with the new naira notes. Is it not just pure waste of money when he is trying to phase out the higher denominations. I really hope then if someone earns N200 as regards N20,000 of today, it will be worth it. Anyway lets seat back and relax and enjoy the ride, its a whole new experience for Us. |
I was just going through and i saw a column where people were actually praising the Nokia 5300 phone, i am about to buy the Nokia 5700. i want to know which is better. |
Well polygamy is almost a thing of the past in nigeria cos most guys arent willing to be saddled with the troubles and worries of 2 wives but that doesnt mean total fidelity to their wives cos they still have extra marital affairs all around. Me, being from a polygamous home, though we all get along well, have swore never to find myself in such a situation. It is not something you wish even for your own enemy. Thats why we should have put God first in our lives. If you have a man who is God fearing then you will be assured of having a peaceful home. |
This indecent behaviour happens all the time in this country, its not only in warri, it happens but the funniest aspect of it all is, who is going to stop them? i personally believe that the power given to the military is damn too much and there is nobody to caution them. If we see a soldier harass a citizen unjustly, who do u report to? do they follow up the matter as required? the nation is corrupt, people turn a blind eye to every irregularity in the country and take it as normal. You can even be arrested for laying a complain. Corruption should be fought on all level, not only on the high and mighty of the society. This is my own opinion oh. |
well i would say goldenray tell your cousin or friend about it so he dont get his hopes on the wrong girl. as for cute-ass, for someone as young as you are, you are simply marvellous, your opinions are always appreciated and straight to the point. as for seun, though i dont totally agree with him but i think we are all entitled to our own opinions. |
I read all the responses and thanks, i really do appreciate them, firstly the first guy lied about his age cos i remember when i met him and i asked him he said he was 28 which was true and i found out much much later that he was older than that. i have never really loved him and he always knew that, though i felt with time i would grow to love him. I've also tried to break the relationship several times but he wont let go. Its not like am just seeing all the negative sides in the relationship but i've known all along that it was going to work and i've always try to let go. As for the internet guy, i've met him and some members of his family cos they live close to me and they are kool people, i like them and i think they like me too. I really appreciate your responses but i still have to think real hard so i dont make a mistake i would regret much later in life. |
hi hi |
That was so cool, try your talent out in the real world. you might just get lucky. Men you are the best. |
I love Manchester United and I'm crazy about Sir Alex Ferguson games, Great games, watch them |
She should have more self respect for herself and move on. Life is good to throw away for one guy who isnt worth it. There is definitely someone out there for her. |
A name for your monkey, na wa oh, is it that nairaland now lack topics of discussion that you think a name for your monkey is important here. Please give us a break, you can name your monkey after you if you so love your monkey, you dont need our opinion. |
By now i think you should know him better than all of us on nairaland. You should know if he is serious or just making a fool out of you. I'd advise that you keep your options open so you dont lose out at the end. Goodluck in your decision. |
J-girl, i dig you all the way, united for live |
This is actually one of the longest post, i have read on nairaland. we all have different lives experiences to share, it might not necessarily be in form of what happened in secondary school but life in general. I have a story to share about what happened when i was supposed to be doing my industrial attachment. I applied to several companies for my industrial attachment when i was in my fourth year in school and also attended several interviews. I had big hopes in working in a multi national company in nigeria. i actually was called to an interview in one of the breweries in lagos. When i got in for the interview, i saw two young men sitted across in the conference room, i was asked to sit and what my name was. One of the guys just looked at me and said 'if you were asked to make tea through out your training period, what will you do'? I said " Sir, let me get the job first. I actually thought he was joking. I was called to resume work the next week and true to his word, i resumed under him and i was not given a place but was asked to make tea for almost three weeks straight without any other job attached. i wasnt learning anything, i was just a 'teagirl'. i realised i had to do something fast if not i will continue to be a tea girl for the next 6 months of my training. On a fateful monday, i came to work and he said, 'i need a cup of tea' and i said ' sir i am not a tea girl, you have to employone if you need one', he just stared at me, he couldnt believe i actually spoken to him, i guess he admired me for my boldness and asked that i be transfered from him to the department where i was supposed to be and all through the training i did very well. When i was about leaving, my boss was praising me everywhere and telling all those who care to listen that he would want me to work full time when i graduate from school. That was when he came over and apologised for what he did, he said he thought i was going to get tired one day and never come back and that he under estimated me. well i was just happy that i was able to prove who i am to him after all that happened. |
i dont think its stealing but a woman shouldnt take money from the husband without his knowledge cos he might have budgeted that money for something else and not finding it there might make him angry. |
