I ditched my almost 4-year-old a30 for xr earlier this year
I miss it scatter, especially its light weight, display and battery. It is better than xr in those aspects.
But don’t expect the camera to be as good as the flagship phones

Bros you go enjoy the phone.. no cap

they both use the same Sony 12mp camera, same gcam software runs the 2 phones. Their cameras are the same all round don't let anybody deceive you. Infact from pixel 3 up to pixel 5 all uses same hardware and software for photography.

p4a 5g is better than the p4 XL only in battery department cos it has a bigger battery than the p4 XL. 5g isn't an added advantage because the pixel 5g network isn't available in Nigeria yet.

4 XL was 2019 flagship
4a 5g is 2020 midranger
Depending on what you're looking for, if you don't mind the forehead, absence of ultra wide and end of major update then go for 4 XL
4a 5g is currently not receiving 5g in Nigeria so that's immaterial.

What about the portrait and battery?

I care more about these two
