We need to properly fund our military. The Buhari regime isn't doing well with funding the military.

Algeria spends 10 billion dollars on the military, i'm well aware we don't have that kind of money to fund the military alone but a minimum 4 billion dollars should be a benchmark if we want to see a decent force.

To fund insurgency killing Nigerians, wahala. No proper IFVs, Artillery or Tanks. Tricked out Beryl used by our special forces are beautiful for photos, but in reality without heavy weapons, we're wasting our time.
Before you can release such amount to the military, you will need an anti-corruption unit in the military, you don't want that money to disappear do you?

Oh absolutely. The SU-25 has air to air caps, it can deliver ordnance and fight. It has enough armour towithdtand high calibre rounds. It took an American F-18 three missiles to bring one down over Syria. It beats the Super Tucano where it matters.

Oh really!! Who told you the Tucano isn't armoured? in your fantasy world, its not about the ancient of days relic SU-25 is, it is not about the cost of keeping it operational, it is not about Tucano's advanced weapons systems, it is not about how many hrs it can last in battle abi?
I thought you want Nigeria to have the likes of raptor for perfect air defense, since when did you accept that COIN is a priority with your SU-25 recommendation? Thank God for whoever that knocked your brain to factory reset.

$100 million will buy you 10 or 11 SU-25, a heavily amoured aircraft perfect for close air support with unmatched fire power and protection. It doesn't have to be a 4th gen platform.
You so love Nigeria but you recommend a 1981 platform over a 2003 for CAS, you tried!! Continue confusing yourself.

Dude stop displaying your ignorance, one of the twin seater version crashed some time ago. What's the difference between 6 of 9 aircrafts? Besides no nation can achieve %100 of all its aircrafts at a go. It's impossible. If Nigeria has just 9 F-7N fighters it means only 5 or 6 can be scrambled or deployed in short notice. Tell me how 9 F-7Ni fighters can perform its statutory role of air defense. You should be ashamed of making the 9 fighter jet in service argument. It's a Shame that Nigeria with its vast oil wealth, large population, and strategic position in Africa fields the crap it calls an air force. NINE interceptors to protect an entire nation's airspace, The only aircraft with air to air capability. What a joke.
When a man so ignorantly brags about his oil reserves, im so tempted to ask him if he sincerely believes that oil reserves equates to Petro dollars?
The most economically fvcked country in the world Venezuela is sitting comfortably on the world's largest oil and gas reserves, have you bothered to find out why that is so or you think they are enjoying the deep sh!t they found themselves?
Your arguments are too shallow to be taken seriously.

The max speed is mach 2 not mach 1.2. Why do you think it's an interceptor? It's way faster than alpha jet but last less than an hour in air which makes it less effective for COIN. Tucano on the other hand will last 8 hours in air, carrying better guns, missiles and avionics not to talk of the ISR capability.

Are you trying to teach him that his fantasies are useless and way too expensive for counterinsurgency? with the way he reasons, im sure something is telling him we can use air defense systems against boko haram, if we can't, then why buy them now we have an active counter insurgency theater?

You see things in a linear fashion. Because we are fighting an insurgency group we should ignore all other aspects of the military right? The Super Tucano is a specialised aircraft for COIN. I'm talking about the air force in general. Air superiority, sir defense...like the United States Nigeria relies primarily on fighter aircraft for air defence. We 're not gonna fight Boko Haram forever. Why do you guys recoil from the idea of a modern 21st century NAF. The other guy posting pics on Zambia. Is Nigeria Zambia? The present state of the air force is a disgrace for a country like Nigeria. It's almost beyond comprehension. We should be comparing ourselves to the likes of Egypt and SAAF, Not because its fun fantasy. We are really punching below our weightgor a country regarded as one of the continent's most developed and wealthiest.
I never knew that rational thinkng is this difficult, damn!!
Go and learn what military priorities are, learn what military budget is before you talk.
When I read from folks like you, I really thank God for his blessings, jeez!!
You have 2 intl terror groups in your backyard, with limited budget, killing people in droves, as an institution
Constitutionally mandated to protect lives and properties, you are implying that it is smarter to gear up for air defense systems despite the terror group lacking air capabilities?
You think it is the right play because you are paranoid Chad will invade you tomorrow forgetting that Al qaeda and ISIS have already invaded you?
You do not think that common sense demands we focus our energy and resources on counterinsurgency for our today & tomorrow's defense? Or perhaps you think we have gotten everything we need for counter insurgency?

You do not think that if you are defeated by the terror groups that have already invaded you, there won't be anyone to be protected by the so called air defense system.
With your reasoning, it must be a miracle how you cross a major road successfully, life should be truly hard for you, I can imagine!

For a country that's been at war for a decade, don't you think the airframes we have need changing? How on earth does building a modern air force qualify as fantasy? Development is a fantasy and remaining in the doldrums our God given rights? It appears the humiliation and disgrace Nigeria faced in Mali, when our troops were relegated to manning checkpoints and begging for basic supplies have been forgotten. Every effort to modernise even the basic facets of air force is torpedoed with the flimsy excuse of priorities. Isn't it the priority of any sensible armed forces to maintain to combat readiness and prepare for the worst? Ten Super Tucano is a side dish and does not alter the deficit the service faces, neither does repairing helicopters and developing mini drones. We know what to do, we have the means of achieving it..but we are comfortable in managing the crap we have, same league with Cameroon sndBenin. Buy one helicopter today, super Mushank tomorrow, build drones high school students can build and celebrate it as milestone..,what a complete joke our military is becoming.
Are we not changing our airframes? From Alpha jets to Tucanos isnt that change? Only that the airforce is giving priority to counter insurgency being the threat at hand, what is wrong with that?
You want us to be posited for future threats, nice thoughts but today is fvcked already with Boko haram, only when we survive today should we gear up for tomorrow.

Again while you argue that chad may invade us tomorrow, I can as well argue that Haqqani network or Taliban can invade us tomorrow afterall we didn't send any invite to Al qaeda & ISis already on our soil, so gearing up for counter insurgency deals with today and future threats, while your proposal deals with future threats only ie if you understand that the platforms you recommend for the future are too expensive for counter insurgency.

I understand your Jingoism but life doesn't work the way we think, it works the way it should.
I don't know about NAF's priorities in the past but right now, I can't fault what they are doing logically, you are free to try.

Everyone wants an advanced Nigerian military in all its facets, however, presently, we have skinnies in our backyard, between modernizing the airforce and routing out skinnies which should take priority is basic common sense for anyone that has one.

JUST IN: The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai briefed the C-in-C yesterday 21 September 2018 on the Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency efforts in the North East. The C-in-C was impressed with the decisive response of the COAS to the initial setbacks in the North East. The C-in-C also commended the troops efforts in dealing with the bandits in the North West especially Zamfara State. The COAS seized the opportunity to pledge the unalloyed loyalty of the officers and men of the Nigerian Army to the C-in-C. He also assured Mr President of the Nigerian Army's resolve to continuously protect the territorial integrity of the country as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.
Why is the COAS briefing the CIC instead of the CDS?

The most ludicrous thing about this whole story - and the most telling indicator of how lacking the Vanguard's "journalists" are in anything approaching journalistic skills - is that the United Nations has an easily reachable public website, where any official business involving IPOB would surely have been noted somewhere, yet even the trivial effort of checking the site out was too much for both the IPOB fantasists (who are clearly too ignorant and poorly educated to know better) or the pathetic excuses for "journalists" on the Vanguard's staff.

Biafrans don come again with another Comedy. grin
I wonder how a group of people in their thousands wont have a single individual with proper sense.
IPOB talks as if they operate in heaven that nobody knows anything about global politics except their illiterate followers.

They claimed they went for two missions,
first was to report the case of Kanu's disappearance, second was to put the UN on notice for self determination.

There is no embassy in the world that will grant you a visa without asking for purpose of visit, since they claimed to be invited by the UN, show the damn invite to the embassy to get your visa, how is that difficult?
They came home to lie to their brain dead members that Nigeria colluded with the swiss authorities, we are now saying that, if they are sure Nigeria colluded with the Swiss publish the invitation letter, we all know what it looks like, till date, no show.

Since it was the UN that invited them, why has the UN not released a statement in condemnation of Nigeria and swizz collusion? Swiss, Nigeria & UN are quiet, only IPOB has sense, imagine.

Recall the case of Richard falk against Israel, UN condemned it in the strongest possible terms, in this case, the UN is quiet, is that not a red flag?

To their Second mission, Uche mefor and some IPOB conartists claimed they went to put the UN on notice for self determination in Geneva? Seriously? grin
That means that these con artists don't even know that all the 4 offices of the UN are assigned functions and purpose? Have you heard in your life that such letter is sent to their Geneva office? Jeez!!
Did the catalans, kurds and Palestinians send theirs there? What buisness does UNOG have with self determination if these guys are not perennial m0r0ns?

They claimed they met world leaders while at it, really? Which world leader visited UNOG on the 14th of September during their display of lunacy? Which world leader has ever visited any UN office unannounced? Do they think world leaders have offices at the UNOG? What kinda illiteracy is this biko?
Where are the videos and photos of the meeting? Do they think one goes into the UNOG to run into world leaders? I don't understand this madness.

Now watch the video of the scam meeting below, UNOG actually locked the !diots outside, they were organizing press conference outside the gate on the bloody UN fence? grin
A history making event of such magnitude could not be seen from inside but outside the gate, chei!! These guys are brainless likewise any unfortunate soul that believes them.
It is more unfortunate that our so called mainstream media are regurgitating their lies without verification.

I have absolutely nothing against IPOB and their quest for Biafra, however, they should know that Nigeria has people that didn't flush their brains down the toilet when selling cheap propaganda.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Friday finally give a hint of it recent visit to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, saying the encounter would go a long way towards cementing diplomatic relationship with the international community.

The IPOB delegation was led by its deputy leader, Mazi Uche Mefor on September 14, the same day the pro Biafra group remembered the victims of the invasion of the home of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kany at Isiama- Afaraukwu, Umuahia in Abia State.

Although, the group said it was not at liberty to divulge every detail of what transpired during the encounter, stated that the world had officially been placed on notice that IPOB, as a movement, was determined to carve a separate existence for the people of Biafra, comprising South East/South South, away from Nigeria.

A statement by the IPOB media and publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, said it was the first time in the post war history of Biafra that the leadership of any group, movement or people met with the United Nations face to face to discuss the issue of Biafra.

The statement read: “It was a historic encounter that will go a long way in cementing the diplomatic credentials of IPOB in the eyes of the international community.

“It was the very first time that United Nations had the opportunity to host Biafrans to a meeting and it is only appropriate that we appreciate all those working tirelessly with our diplomatic team based in London to accomplish this feat.

“We commend the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra (DOS-IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Chika Edoziem, who accompanied our deputy leader to the historical meeting.

“The historic encounter with United Nations officials in Geneva has opened up avenues and opportunities for further engagement between IPOB and relevant UN agencies on the burning issues of human rights violations by the Buhari regime and enforcement of IPOB’s universal right to self determination.

“With this meeting satisfactorily concluded, IPOB has gone where no other group of leaders before it dared go to. It will forever be recorded that for nearly 50 years and for the very first time in the history of Biafra, an interface was facilitated between representatives of the people of Biafra IPOB and the United Nations.”

The organization, however, regretted that the Kanu family was denied representation at the meeting because the Swiss Embassy denied the family entry visa to Switzerland.

Just look at these semi illiterates disgracing igbos everywhere.
First, it is misleading to say the UN invited them, the UN did not, every UN invite is published this was not.

Some m0r0ns stormed the UN office in Geneva claiming to be IPOB, the UN made it clear that what they are asking for is not handled at the Geneva office a fact everybody with basic education knows, they were locked outside the gate, one Lunatic called Uche mefor started conducting a press conference on the fence, can you imagine?
This is the lowest any organisation can go to deceive her gullible followers.

The right questions to ask these semi illiterates are?

Does the UN office in Geneva handle issues of self determination?

Why was their invitation not published by the UN?

Where is the acknowledgement copy of their letter of intent to the United nations?

Did the catalans & Kurds submit their letters of intent at the UN Geneva office?

Do they even know what that office does?

These m0r0ns have taken their madness to the wrong UN office, just imagine the disgrace!!
When I told people these guys are bunch of illiterates they thought I was joking, this is the crescendo of their disgrace.

Young man, the defunct eastern region was a creation of Nigeria, Ojukwu merely tried to change that reality in 1967 but all his doubts were cleared in 1970, based on this fact, it is silly to imply that Biafra once existed in the former eastern region, it is more silly to imply that the former eastern region will forever become a guinea pig for deluded minds in their quest for Biafra.

How do you know the specific dates you earned no interest?

Good morning House,

I have been observing from ARM in recent times that there are some days i don't get my interest, that I have reported to them last week and my 5 days interest was calculated and added back to me.

Ok, this morning also i notice that my interest of yesterday has not been added as well, initially I don't monitor my investment don't even calculate i started doing that since two weeks and has been noticing lots lapses one wonders what happened in past months that I don't monitor.

My question: Does these Fund managers pay interest on weekends?

You are lucky ARM gave you the tools to monitor your investment, Axamansard doesn't give you the tool, yet some of their customers here abi agent think it is normal, we have a problem in this country, what you said is precisely what I suspect is going on.
