Super Retina. In big and bigger.
An all-screen design gives you a large, beautiful canvas for everything you love to do. And iPhone XS Max makes it massive, with a screen that measures 6.5 inches — our largest display ever on an iPhone.

Custom-built OLED.
The OLED panels in iPhone XS allow for an HDR display with the industry’s best color accuracy, true blacks, and remarkable brightness and contrast. They’re the sharpest displays, with the highest pixel density, on any Apple device.

1,000,000 to 1contrast ratio Wide color gamutwith systemwide color management

The best color accuracy in the industry.
Advanced color management automatically displays your content in wide color. So everything you look at looks beautiful.

HDR10 and wider stereo sound.
With support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 titles from iTunes, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, movie night comes to iPhone. Wider stereo playback makes it all sound great. And your HDR photos — even those you captured before — will have a 60 percent greater dynamic range.

True Tone.
A six-channel light sensor subtly adjusts the white balance onscreen to match the color temperature of the light around you. So images on the display look as natural as on a printed page and are easier on your eyes.

A new level of water resistance.
The most durable glass in a smartphone, sealed and precision-fitted with the surgical-grade stainless steel band, helps create a more water-resistant enclosure — up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. iPhone XS even resists spills from coffee, tea, soda, and more.

No Home button? No problem.
You can go everywhere you need to go with a few simple actions.

Exceptional materials.
The most durable glass ever in a smartphone. A beautiful new gold finish, achieved with an atomic-level process. Precision-machined, surgical-grade stainless steel bands. And a new level of water and dust resistance.
Surgical-grade stainless steel.
We use a special Apple-designed alloy that’s precisely machined to create structural bands in three finishes.

Wireless charging.
The glass back allows iPhone XS to charge wirelessly. And it charges even faster than iPhone X.

PVD color process.
Gold and space gray finishes use an advanced physical vapor deposition process on the stainless steel bands for colors and reflectivity that beautifully complement the glass.

Advanced Face ID.
Security is simple when your face is your password. You can unlock your iPhone, log in to apps, and pay for things with a glance. It’s the most secure facial authentication ever in a smartphone. And now it’s even faster.
Face ID
Your face is your password.
Security made simple.
Face ID reinvented the way we unlock, log in, and pay. Some of our most sophisticated technologies — the TrueDepth camera system, the Secure Enclave, and the Neural Engine — make it the most secure facial authentication ever in a smartphone. And even faster and easier to use.

Adaptive recognition.
Face ID uses advanced machine learning to recognize changes in your appearance. Wear a hat. Put on glasses. It even works with many types of sunglasses.

Do more with a glance.
Face ID does so much more than unlock your iPhone. So you can forget about typing user names and passwords. Now all it takes is a look.

Unlock in an instant.
The advanced Secure Enclave and new algorithms make Face ID even faster. So you’ll love it even more.

Log in to your apps and accounts.
Face ID works with the apps you already use — from banking and health apps to locked notes and private documents.

Apple Pay in stores.
No need to take out your wallet. Just hold your iPhone up to the reader. It’s actually more secure than using your physical card.

Apple Pay in apps and online.
It’s never been easier to pay for a ride, buy your next favorite pair of sneakers, or send cash to a friend in Messages.

The technology behind simplicity.
The innovative technologies in the TrueDepth camera system work together in real time to recognize you in an instant.

Dot projector
More than 30,000 invisible dots are projected onto your face to build your unique facial map.

Infrared camera
An infrared camera reads the dot pattern, captures an infrared image, then sends the data to the Secure Enclave in the A12 Bionic chip to confirm a match.

Flood illuminator
Invisible infrared light helps identify your face even when it’s dark.

Intelligent A12 Bionic.
This is the smartest, most powerful chip in a smartphone, with our next-generation Neural Engine. For amazing augmented reality experiences. Incredible portraits with Depth Control. And speed and fluidity in everything you do.

Advanced Face ID.
The TrueDepth camera and Neural Engine work together to recognize you — even if you put on a hat, grow a beard, or wear glasses.

Expressive Memoji.
Together, the A12 Bionic and TrueDepth camera track more than 50 facial muscles to make Memoji that move and react like you.

Breakthrough dual-camera system.
The world’s most popular camera is defining a new era of photography. Where an innovative sensor works with the ISP and Neural Engine to help you create photos like never before.
Dual-camera system
Say hello to a new era of photography.
Sensors, processors, algorithms, and you.
An innovative dual-camera system integrates the ISP, the Neural Engine, and advanced algorithms to unlock new creative possibilities and help you capture incredible photos.

Bokeh and Depth Control.
iPhone XS has even more sophisticated bokeh, or background blur, for stunning portraits. And all-new Depth Control lets you adjust the depth of field after you shoot.

Enhanced Portrait mode selfies.
The TrueDepth camera generates a precise depth map to keep you in focus against a blurred background. Depth Control lets you adjust the depth of field after you shoot.

More low‑light detail.
The camera sensor features deeper, larger pixels. Deeper to improve image fidelity. And larger to allow more light to hit the sensor. The result? Even better low‑light photos.

Sharper action shots.
Faster sensors, Smart HDR, and zero shutter lag combine to let you freeze a moment in time with more highlight and shadow detail.

4K video and wider stereo playback.
iPhone XS shoots the highest‑quality video of any smartphone. With better low-light performance. Extended dynamic range in videos up to 30 fps. Stereo recording. And stereo playback with wider sound separation.

A picture is worth a trillion operations.
The iPhone XS dual‑camera system harnesses the unprecedented power of the Neural Engine and its ability to perform five trillion operations per second. Together with the Apple-designed ISP, it works like the world’s fastest photographer’s assistant to help turn your pictures into showstoppers.

Here’s just a fraction of what the camera system considers even before you shoot:

Face detection.
In Portrait mode, the Neural Engine uses machine learning to analyze data from the camera sensor, quickly distinguishing faces in the frame.

Facial landmarking.
Once a face is detected, facial landmarking allows iPhone to apply creative Portrait Lighting effects to your subject.

Depth mapping.
The ISP’s advanced depth engine, combined with segmentation data from the Neural Engine, accurately separates your subject from the background.

More control over your image.
Portrait mode captures depth information that lets you adjust the depth of field and add creative Portrait Lighting effects.

All-new Depth Control.
When editing portrait photos, simply slide to adjust the depth of field.

Portrait Lighting.
In Portrait mode, just swipe to try different lighting effects — before or after you shoot.

And this.
iPhone XS delivers Gigabit-class LTE for superfast download speeds. And up to 512GB of storage, making this our highest-capacity iPhone yet.

Only iPhone
No other phone is like iPhone.

Phones / iphoneX : Has Apple Finally Lived Up To Its Bidding?? See Price. by Jsmyth(m): 7:35am On Nov 02, 2017
The purest expression of iPhone
To create a continuous surface, with nothing to get in the way of your experience, Apple replaced the Home Button with new yet familiar ways to navigate.

iPhone X is Apple’s new flagship 10th anniversary iPhone featuring a 5.8-inch OLED display, facial recognition and 3D camera functionality, a glass body, no Home button, wireless inductive charging, 3GB RAM, animoji, and an A11 Bionic processor. iPhone X includes a large, high-resolution, rounded, edge-to-edge display that delivers an immersive, content-rich experience like never before.

iPhone X Features

The iPhone X, pronounced “iPhone 10,” was introduced at Apple’s September 2017 event. The iPhone X represents the biggest technological leap forward since the original iPhone was introduced 10 years ago, and it sets the path for the next decade of iPhone development.

No Home button also means no Touch ID, so unlocking the device is done with a new Face ID facial recognition system. Face ID uses the TrueDepth front-facing camera system to create a 3D map of your face that’s used much like a fingerprint for unlocking the iPhone, authenticating Apple Pay purchases, making App Store purchases, and accessing passcode protected apps.

iPhone X Specs

Apple’s aim with the iPhone X was to create an iPhone that’s all display, blurring the line between physical object and experience. The 5.8-inch front screen melts into a highly polished curved-edge stainless steel band that encircles a durable all-glass body available in two pearlescent finishes: Space Gray and Silver. Both feature a black front panel.

At 5.8 inches diagonally, the iPhone X has the largest display introduced in an iPhone yet, but with no bezels aside from a notch housing the camera and sensors, it fits comfortably in the hand. At 143.6mm tall by 70.9mm wide by 7.7mm deep, it’s not much bigger than an iPhone 8, and it’s smaller than an iPhone 8 Plus.

In portrait orientation, the width of the display on iPhone X matches the width of the 4.7″ displays of iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, and iPhone 8. The display on iPhone X, however, is 145pt taller than a 4.7″ display, resulting in roughly 20% additional vertical space for content.

Face ID

Face ID uses infrared camera technology so it works in the dark. It also uses machine learning and detects your face with hats, glasses, beards, and other objects that obscure your face. Because it uses a 3D map of the face, Face ID cannot be fooled by photos, masks, or other facial replicas. As an added layer of security, Face ID is “attention aware” and unlocks your iPhone only when you’re looking at it.

Face ID won’t work when your eyes are closed, when you’re sleeping, when you’re unconscious, or when you’re looking away from your phone. If a thief demands your iPhone, Face ID can be disabled quickly and discretely by pressing on the side button and the volume button at the same time. Do this before handing your phone over, and a thief won’t be able to scan your face. The Face ID also turns off after two failed facial recognition attempts and a passcode needs to be entered for it to be turned back on.

iPhone X Camera

Apple’s TrueDepth camera also introduces Portrait Mode for the front-facing camera and enables Portrait Lighting, a new feature for adjusting the lighting in a portrait image taken by the front or rear camera.

In the back, the iPhone X features a vertical 12-megapixel dual-lens camera arrangement with an f1.8 wide angle lens and an f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens. Both lenses support optical image stabilization and have improvements like a new color filter, deeper pixels, better low light zoom, and improved video stabilization. Between the cameras, there’s a new quad-LED True Tone flash.

With the individually calibrated cameras, a new accelerometer and gyroscope, tuning for ARKit, and the powerful A11 chip, the iPhone X has been designed for a better augmented reality experience. Developers can take advantage of both the rear camera and the TrueDepth camera to create unique AR apps with unparalleled face tracking capabilities.

Animoji

The TrueDepth camera also enables a fun new feature called “Animoji,” aka animated, 3D emoji characters that you control with your face. To create Animoji, the TrueDepth camera analyzes more than 50 muscle movements in different areas of the face, detecting movement of the eyebrows, cheeks, chin, eyes, jaw, lips, eyes, and mouth.

There are 12 different Animoji to choose from, modeled after existing emoji characters: monkey, robot, cat, dog, alien, fox, poop, pig, panda, rabbit, chicken, and unicorn.

Wireless Charging

The iPhone X adopts the Qi wireless standard and can charge through the glass back using any Qi-certified charging accessory. Apple is making an “AirPower” accessory to charge iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3, and AirPods simultaneously, but it won’t be out until 2018.

Fast Charging

The iPhone X is “fast-charge capable,” which means it can be charged to 50 percent battery life in 30 minutes. Fast charging requires the iPhone X to be plugged into Apple’s 29W, 61W, or 87W USB-C Power Adapters, which are sold alongside its USB-C for MacBook and MacBook Pro models.

A USB-C to Lightning cable is also required to go along with the USB-C Power Adapter.

Top 10 features of iPhone 8 – People are still waiting for the premium iPhone X to hit the market in November. But in the meantime, iPhone 8 shoppers have started to receive their brand spanking new phones.

On the outside, it may look like your iPhone hasn’t changed too much from the previous years, but there are many important and worthwhile internal upgrades to be excited about.

All‑Glass Design
The most durable glass ever in a smartphone, front and back. A color‑matched, aerospace‑grade aluminum band. New space gray, silver, and gold finishes. These phones have a full glass back to go with the glass faceplate. The glass itself is a custom Apple design in partnership with Corning that’s hardened even more than in the past. A lot of people considered iPhone 7 easy to drop because the highly polished aluminum casing could be slick. Having an all-glass body really helps alleviate that problem.

Wireless Charging
The glass back enables easy wireless charging. Apple’s embraced the Qi (pronounced “chee”) wireless charging standard, which is to say you can now use any Qi-compatible wireless charger to power up your iPhone.Currently, you can charge at 5 watts, but soon Apple will increase this to a faster 7.5W charging by way of an iOS 11.x software update. That is still a tad on the slow side, especially with the addition of wired fast charging.

Fast Charging
Using USB Power Delivery specification, 2017 iPhones now support Fast Charge technology. You can now power up your phone to fifty percent in less than 30 minutes. This doesn’t work with Apple’s standard USB-A power cable and 5W wall charger.

You’ll need to purchase Apple’s USB-C to Lighting cable along with a stronger USB-C wall charger like any of the ones that come with the new MacBook or MacBook Pros to fast-charge your new iPhone.
Increased Base Storage
When picking up a new phone, the base model no longer starts at a paltry 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The cheapest iPhone 8 model now comes with 64 gigabytes of flash storage by default. This is great, especially as app sizes increase and we get to capture higher-frame rate 4K video at 60 frames per second.

Louder Speakers
The stereo speakers are now 25 percent louder than they were in the iPhone 7 series. That includes the earpiece that acts as the second surround speaker alongside the grill on the bottom. Bass has also seen some notable improvements. It sounds louder and more full than before and is great to go alongside video HDR support—better video and better audio.

Better Camera
Portrait mode on iPhone 8 Plus gets even better. For sharper foregrounds and more naturally blurred backgrounds. While the front and rear cameras on the new iPhones have retained the same megapixel count like on last year’s phones, they’ve been completely reengineered. There is a new color filter (Apple’s design), a larger and faster sensor and deeper pixels. That will result in faster no-lag photos, better action shots and much improved low light performance.

The Apple designed ISP embedded in the A11 Bionic system-on-a-chip also helps with hardware-assisted noise reduction, which dramatically improves sharpness in low-light conditions versus the software algorithm that older iPhones use for imaging.

New Video Shooting Mode
The stock Camera app is now able to shoot crisp 4K video at a silky smooth sixty frames per second, making the iPhone 8 series the first smartphones to do that. You also get Slow-mo video capture in 1080p at 240 frames per second.
True Tone Display
A Retina HD display that’s more beautiful than ever. With True Tone, a wide color gamut, and 3D Touch. True Tone displays pioneered on iPad Pros have made their way to the iPhone. True Tone technology automatically adjusts white balance to match the light around you. For a better viewing experience in all kinds of environments. With a wide color gamut and the best color accuracy in the industry, everything on the screen looks more brilliant and vibrant.

Monster A11 Bionic Processor
Introducing A11 Bionic. With four efficiency cores that are up to 70 percent faster than A10 Fusion. And two performance cores that are up to 25 percent faster. To go along with that GPU is A11 Bionic. Apple says the term Bionic was added because people payed more attention to it when it had a better sounding name than the boring “A9.”

It is a six-core CPU with two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores (versus two for the A10 Fusion chip). The high performance cores are 70 percent faster than the A10, and the high efficiency are 25 percent faster. In early benchmark, the A10 simply obliterates anything else on the market so Android competition has to play catchup.
HDR Support
Like the latest iPad Pros and the new Apple TV 4K, all models of iPhone 8 and iPhone X now support Dolby Vision and HDR10. You can see the designation inside of the iTunes Store, or in compatible apps like Netflix that have rolled out support.

Programming / Andela Learning Community (ALC): My Success Story by Jsmyth(m): 10:14pm On Jul 14, 2017
SHEER WILL TURNED TO PASSION: MY ANDROID LEARNING COMMUNITY(ALC) EXPERIENCE

Joe-smith right here! Android developer wannabe.
ALC learner Uyo.

It started with one of those links you see on social media. It was shared by my friend Francis, a reigistration link for the andela program. I thought to myself "here they go again with one of them unprofitable links"; I thought again "well, why don't you register, there is no harm in trying". Then with less zeal, I registered for the program.

I however was not anticipating any response from the organizers, as at some point I forgot about it.
Then came my friend, "Joe! have you seen a mail from andela concerning the link we registered for?" I was like, "what? what link? Oh! Andela, I forgot about it". I refreshed my mail again and again, no mail from ALC....I didn't get selected.
Well, I didn't feel like I had missed anything, until after noticing how my friend had been frequenting udacity website, android developer website, writing some codes on android studio and running his first android app; it then dawned on me, "Joe! this could have been you". What more could a brother do? Well, I tried to understand what he was doing and despite being exposed to programming in school, it seemed relatively hard to catch up with his pace.

I repented of my lack lustre attitude and wished I would be given similar opportunity and then, voila! the long awaited mail came in. I was accepted late into the program.
Now, I've been accepted, but still, that feeling of inadequacy set in, I felt I was terribly lagging behind and I could never catch up with the progress of others.
Nevertheless, with encouragement from friend and self determination, video after video, practice after practice, code after code, project after project, I have built and ran a couple of android applications and I can comfortably give myself a pat on the back.

I had done BASIC, VBasic, Python, C++ in school and never had I for once thought of a career path in programming. I could barely grasp the syntax of these languages as I felt that they kept changing according to the language. Even if I could get the syntax correct, my logic would be wrong and my program would be just as dump as the programmer. I never believed in debugging, once I saw any red line in my code, I just believed that it could'nt be resolved and I'd hurriedly abandon the project.

These were problems I was expecting to encounter in the course of learning android development.
Yes, I actually encountered them, but many thanks to udacity(great teachers). They made my journey in this program possible. With them I could already see the light at the end of the tunnel.

My appreciation to ALC is endless for providing this opportunity to this once lazy programmer.
It has been a great learning experience.
There's this joy I have when I build an app and it functions just the way I want it to.

Oh! Think you're good with recognizing country flags?, here's a link to a game you should try:

Who cares about a house negro like you? I am more worried about the society and how cults like yours infest the sociesty with ridiculous beliefs- even worse, I worry that people like you procreate and abuse children by forcing your ridiculous beliefs on them...early brainwashing.

Hehehehehe....

Long epistle, don't have time to read.
But this your title is funny to me o, Jesus is not a christian bah?....who is a christian? Is it not a follower of Christ?, and who is Christ? I believe its Jesus of nazareth[JESUS CHRIST, the messiah]...well you're right He is not a Christian, except he would have to follow himself. I would say He is not a Christian, but he is the CHRIST, the son of the living G0D.
