CROBBOY: These formattings are done by either manually placing certain classified characters before and after a text, line(s) or paragraph(s) or by highlighting the text/paragraph of interest and selecting the appropriate icon/command from the toolbar above (the later is most recommended if your device supports such features).
For manual (which is the simplier option available for lower class and versions of phones), consider the following:
1. If you want to make a text BOLD , put "" at the end of the text you're making bold while puting "" at the beginning (when you quote this my writing, observe what is before and after the word "BOLD" above I wrote in this paragraph. I was trying to be careful not to bold irrelevant text in the course of this demonstration, hence the ordering of my writing)
2. For italicizing, replace the 'b's with 'i's.
3. For striking-through or crossing as you call it, replace the 'b's with 's's.
4. For colouring, indenting, increasing font size and higher features, you may need to use a higher version of phone (if you don't have one) or laptop while using the highlighting option as opposed to manual.
5. When increasing font size through the highlight option, you'll observe number 8 will be the default font size, delete it and put a high number to get an increased font size.
Hint: To really master this art, just quote a comment of someone containing this formattings, and study these things there (just like the sentence below that is bolded and italicized).
I hope this helps! you are mouthed u get mouth elenu ni e |

iambibi: NB: This is just a summary of what a PCM should expect if posted to Sokoto state. I may not touch every part, but i believe and hope that this little piece goes a long way, so as to serve as a prospectus for survival in the Seat of the Caliphate.
NATURE OF SOKOTO STATE Sokoto is a city located in the extreme northwest of Nigeria near the confluence of the Sokoto River and the Rima River. Being the seat of the Sokoto Caliphate, the city is predominantly Muslim and an important seat of Islamic learning in Nigeria and the Sultan who heads the caliphate is effectively the spiritual leader of Nigerian Muslims, however Christians, still carry on with their spiritual activities without being subjected to any form of constrains or restrictions. Therefore, should any PCM get posted to serve there, please feel free to have your worship ok? Gud!
LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS Sokoto has 23 local government areas which are Binji, Bodinga, Dange-shnsi, Gada, Goronyo, Gudu, Gawabawa, Illela, Isa, Kware, kebbe, Rabah, Sabon birni, Shagari, Silame, Sokoto North, Sokoto South, Tambuwal, Tqngaza, Tureta, Wamako, Wurno, Yabo.
Wamako: this is where is the nysc camp is located, and its about an hour drive from sokoto main town. The main towns are in Sokoto North and Sokoto south (this include, Dambuwa, Mabera, Old Airport, Tamaji, kwanawa etc), these are the areas a PCM would definitely enjoy if posted, because of the adequate light, water, and other infrastructures, (to be honest, if you work your way there you won't regret it, trust me, lol), while the other LGAs are kinda rural but not totally.
WEATHER Aha! Now this is one of the physical factors that scares the hell out of people at the mention of the state "Sokoto". Well even though it is no news that the state happens to be one of (if not) the hottest cities in the country, at least the dryness makes the heat bearable with an annual average temperature of 28.3 °C (82.9 °F). The warmest months are February to April, where daytime temperatures can exceed 45 °C (113.0 °F). The highest recorded temperature is 47.2 °C (117.0 °F), which is also the highest recorded temperature in Nigeria (Goshh!! , i didnt just say that) lol. Well for the rainy season, its from June to October, during which showers are a daily occurrence. The showers rarely last long and are a far cry from the regular torrential showers known in many tropical regions. From late October to February, during the 'cold season', the climate is dominated by the harmattan wind blowing Sahara dust over the land, ok that's enough already, come rain, come shine, sweet heart, YOU WILL SURVIVE!!! (lol)
TRANSPORTATION AND COST OF LIVING *Lowers tone* Sokoto lacks a public transport system (i dunno why oo) but transport within the city (when not by foot) is mainly by mopeds (keke napep) and bikes which operate as one-person taxis. Buses and taxis are infrequent and are generally used only for transport between cities. However *gives a smile of hope* it is very CHEAP, oh yes, depending on the destination and how far the distance is. Say for movements within town, it shouldn't be more than N100 or N120 (quite cheap abi, i told yaa!! ). Cost of living in regard to accommodate and foodstuffs (rice, beans, onions, yam, vegetables and even meat) .. lets just say Sokoto is blessed, because even with the economic meltdown, accommodation and foodstuffs are still quite cheap depending on the areas and seasons respectively.
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY Sokoto State is essentially an agricultural state with more than 90% of the population engaged in subsistence farming. The main crops produced in the State are millet, guinea corn, maize, rice, beans, wheat, cassava, potatoes, groundnut, sugarcane as well as fruits and vegetables which include oranges, mangoes, cashew, bananas, lettuce, spinach, okra, cabbage, pawpaw and guava. ..... Sooo, if you'll like to consider making use of the agricultural opportunity, i'll say that wouldn't be a bad idea.. *WINKS*
INDUSTRIES Yes, in terms of production of goods and services, Sokoto still offers a fair opportunity, especially for those considering other engagements aside their PPA, To mention but a few, are list of companies one could actually consider.
1. Cement Company of Northern Nigeria Plc (CCNN): this produces and market high quality cement for national development located at Kalambaina Road, Sokoto City, Sokoto State.
2. Alh. Yaro Gobirawa & Sons Limited: this is a merchandising company for importation, warehousing and distribution on general goods, located at Atiku Road, Old Market Area, Sokoto, Sokoto State
3. Estate Global Investment : this company produces nylons and water proofs for sachet water packaging.
4. Rima Foam Products Limited offers is a distributor of foam and foam products located at Illela Road, Sokoto, Sokoto State
5. Smedan Business Center: this is a business-support services and business development networking located at Sosco Plaza, Kano Road, Sokoto, Sokoto State
6. Roads Nigeria Limited: this is a construction company located at Western By-Pass, Sokoto City, Sokoto State Nigeria
LEISURE PARKS For those that love to hang out and have fun oo, Sokoto still have places for that, they include: Blue star, Shukura hotel, Giginya hotel, Pinnacle , Dankani, Mami market, Happy island.... etc etc
*pauses to catch breathe* seriously... am tired
Oh oh oh oh before i forget, need i remind you that SOKOTO is still the MOST PEACEFUL STATE in the country (no doubt).
Bless you!!! Baby, I want to come to sokoto So beautiful |

AdunniIwo: Osun, whr I'm frm, is a state in South-Western Nig wt Oshogbo as its capital. It runs an agrarian economy and has 30 LGAs that includes Aiyedire, Aiyedaade, ede, Ejigbo, IWO, Ila, Oshogbo, etc.
Osun is a home to several Nig Higher Institutions including OAU which is located in the ancient town of Ile-Ife ( a tourist attraction itself). Other tourist centers are Olumirin Waterfalls in Erin-Ijesa town, Museum of Natural History (OAU), Osun-Oshogbo Sacred grove in Oshogbo, The Water Works in Iwo, etc.
Farming and Food Processing are very good biz to invest in since d state operates an agrarian economy. Crafts, tie and die, transportation, recharge card printing, etc are good bizs too. Oshogbo, ede, ife and iwo are good plcs to start.
Note: Electricity supply is generally good and we have banks and a couple of industries (hotels too) in Oshogbo esp nd Ife. Osun will undoubtedly be my home for one year, I'll make sure I enjoy my time there , can't wait for the famous arugba festival. Thanks ma'am OSUN! Here I come |

justified10: really trying to understand your question...
if u mean what hapns to union workers after being scrapped...here is my answer;
they have to undergo "compuslroy rehabilitation" for dem to b useful for demsefs and d society.
this days, smoking, excessive drinking, ruggedity level and thugery are d criteria for one to become a union worker.
actually, d nurtw doesne necessarily have to be scrapped cos it generates revenue... but union workers can be forced to undergo special skills/training before being employed... it should be made to look like "FRSC" etc.. I share in your opinion that it doesn't have to be scrapped and it generates revenue, to buttress your point, most of our transport workers(drivers and conductors to be precise) are uneducated, uncivilised.....most of them from the deep hinterlands in the southwest are rugged, thuggish, obstinate and at times vicious, and how do we get these people to pay their taxes, generate revenues from them, I guess it's a case of using their likes on them. An educated person can't walk up to this people asking for money, he might be killed with his well knotted tie. Scrapping them (Union workers aka agbero) off the road only aggravates the unemployment situation of the country, thereby throwing our safety into the wind |

As we all know, Lagos, a former capital of Nigeria is a very densely populated State bounded by Ogun state in the north and east, the Republic of Benin in the West and the Atlantic ocean in the south. Having one of the busiest ports in the continent, the presence of so many multibillion naira companies ranging from the oil/gas companies to construction and manufacturing companies, the presence of five star hotels and a good transportation network makes lagos the economic nerve centre of Nigeria.
Lagos state can be divided into five administrative regions; IBILE (Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos and Epe division) and 20 local governments area; Alimosho (largest), Amuwo-Odofin, Ajeromi Ifelodun, Apapa, Agege, Badagry, Epe, Surulere, Mushin, Oshodi-Isolo, Ikorodu, Somolu, Kosofe, Eti Osa, Ikeja, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland and Ojo. In order not to drift away from what's really needed, I'll try to be very brief and precise.
Of all the aforementioned local government areas, Epe is one place I wouldn't want a PCM to go, EPE is so dry and i wonder why it wasn't carved into ogun state, the main occupation in this region are farming, petty trading and fishing due to its proximity to water bodies, power supply is not epileptic but ZERO. Most hinterlands in Lagos are in EPE, from ketu-ejinrin, ilara, ibonwon, odo-iragushi, igboye, mojoda etc, the positives that can be drawn from this particular place is the very low cost of living, the availability of the best garri u can ever taste and a very quiet and serene environment. I schooled in this place for 6yrs (boarding school tho) and it's where I hail from so i know what I'm saying. Ibeju lekki is a closer local government to Epe, better but still developing
Lagos Island and eti osa local government, aside from being surrounded by water, are the exact opposite of Epe. These areas house headquarters of top banks in the country, chevron, Arab contractors and so many many construction companies, 5 star hotels, expensive clubs, beaches. Plenty plenty enjoyments and beautiful memories awaits you if you have real money to spend as everything here is very expensive and on the high side, this is where you find most celebrities living and the high and the mighty of our society. The positives; get posted to one of this firms and work as hard as u can (yes hardwork still pays) and u can be retained by this mega companies.
Ikeja being the capital is a very expensive place to live in also, mega hotels like sheraton and so many clubs, trust me,this place is Igbaladun too if you have your money (remember ur 19,800 is nt money) as a CM, I'd love to be posted here cos everywhere is just so full of government parastatals, from courts, police stations, army barracks to secretariats (who doesn't like govt job) and also ikeja houses the ever mighty computer village (every electonics, phones and other gadgets can be fixed here, they want to fix u sef if it were possible)
Places like Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Agege, Ifako ijaiye, Ojo, Amuwo odofin(Lagos owners, they claim) kosofe, Mushin, ajeromi ifelodun, Surulere (another mini ikeja), Ikorodu (developing with godspeed), Alimosho are just there, moderately expensive and so much fun are there too. Badagry is not too far from Epe in terms of livelihood but it's closer to the border, foods are cheap here too. Apapa is also a good place to be and it's a place where manual labour thrives, there is money in apapa if u r strong enough to work.
I can't really say much about the business part but I know everything sells in lagos, interpersonal relationships and hardwork is key to living well in lagos.
NB: if u find urself walking the streets of mushin and oshodi, don't just trust the man beside u....even as a MUSHIN boy, somebody shook my hands in oshodi and said up man u, before i know it, my galaxy s5 was gone......owo oniru, owo oniyo.

Good morning peeps, I think CROBBOY, Logodwhiz and Kbs468 brought up an idea that will be valuable to PCMs as most of us would have little or no knowledge of our states of deployment, so the few things we might have learnt here on our states deployed will gives us an expectation of what to see, so we can brace up better. I felt reluctant to put in something being a lagos boy and I'm like everybody knows Lagos now but I think I'm wrong cos of all the plenty lines I'd be writing about lagos, a line might be very invaluable to someone so I'll be writing about Lagos now, I hope someone finds it useful and anywhere I go wrong, someone should feel free to correct me cos i know a lotta peeps here knows abt lagos maybe better than I do. |
