Are you sure it was the Italian embassy, because the last visa I got from them took exactly 44 days. I don’t know what could be the problem this time. Some people are saying the reason could be the fact that I applied during the holiday season. I’m tired, going to TLS again to ask.

France is just like the UK, organized and fast. Italian Embassy is not that efficient in Nigeria. I can’t wait to collect my passport. I will never step in that building again.

I’m frequent traveler and should normally be quick but I hear from someone there, say the treatment timeless is equal with Italy but that’s sad!
Since December you say, mine applied on 10/01
Transfered on 13/01 and can’t wait imagine yours

You better be patient. I submitted on the 9th of December and I haven’t heard anything till now. It’s even a renewal because I was there last year.

as frequent travel with active visa should expire normally in April, I applied since 10 January in Tls Abuja but not received my passport yet, thought the 15 day’s calendar average will work but I can see no work

This is the timeline of a friend who is a first time applicant

Submission date: 16/12/2024
Passport return date: 28/01/2025
Passport collection date: 29/01/2025

I was here days ago to read thread to be sure he’s not the only one experiencing this delay… so I thought to share his timeline. Hope this helps.

I really don't have any idea why the tourist schengen Visa for Italy process has being delaying lately, I am a frequent traveller, my last visa for tourist lawyer was for one year, I only used it just o ce and spent 2 months. The visa will be expired 31st January and I have applied for another visa why my current was still valid, because my new trip is to be February 2025 and my previous visa is to expire 31st January 2025. I applied since 2nd of January to travel Feb 13th 2025, I am yet to get back mu passport. So just excesse more patient hopefully you hear from them first week of February. I am still on a waiting list like you too

I’m frequent travel as well and my actual visa will expire in 14/04,
Plan to travel in June
I submit my documents 10/01 in Abuja but no feedback yet!
And I’m seaferer I will sail this week , thought will be fast like my Portugal one in 1 week

you can send them’ normally an email and explain them why you want to retrieve and normally they will return you your passport !

This is my first schengen visa application but i have been to south Africa before.
For the documentations, to the best of my knowledge, they were alrit, but the work id i submitted, the back of the id that carries the employer signature was unsigned. That was the only issue i later discovered.
The work aspect, am a full-time employee with a 400k monthly salary after tax. The statement of account opening balance was 6m and a closing balance of 10m with a very good inflow and outflow. Thanks

yes is same thing with minimum 30000 euro coverage

It is not necessary a bad internal issue, for all those that don't know each year Portugal goes on a two weeks break, often at times leaning towards three weeks. they consider this their yearly summer break. it occurs every august. It is very normal for them to do this. this incudes the government and even companies that are located in Portugal have this factored into their yearly calendar. Rest assured they will resume very soon. August in Portugal is like Christmas in most African countries!

and why they took June and July tourist application? If they are going to break down? Because people have their passport with them! They should make this officially so people will no lost patience and travel plan for that! I suppose to travel in August and my passport is there
