So many distractions, so many things to pray about, so many things to do, etc.

But God is faithful. I notice that when I do worship Him steadfastly, He blesses me in numerous ways.

Let's analyze the above scripture carefully:

"Every man also to whom God hath given wealth and riches"

Believe it or not, God has given every human both wealth and riches.

The Bible uses "every" to indicate that no one was purposely or ignorantly left out.

Contrary to wide beliefs, nobody was born poor or to be poor. For every human born into this world, God has given a measure of wealth and riches.

"and hath given him the power to eat thereof and to take his portion"

Why the power of God to eat thereof and take portion?

This is because we live in an extremely wicked world where the destinies of men are traded daily like big markets at Ikeja, Oshodi, Ijesha, etc.

God has given us power to get wealth,(Dueteronomy 8:18) so spiritual power is important to get wealth and maintain it.

If you lack God's power or are careless spiritually, your finances can be manipulated by wicked forces especially in your family.

"and to rejoice in his labour"

God never created anyone to be lazy and unproductive.

He had gifted us all with special talents which make us joyful when we use them because they makes us fulfilled.

If your full-time ministry, career or business isn't making you joyful, then it's a sign that you are in the wrong profession and you aren't using your God given talents.

It's often through our God ordained work that He gives us wealth.

"this is the gift of God"

Solomon didn't bargain with God for wealth and riches, but God in His favour gave them to him. (1 kings 3:13)

Money is spiritual because God declares His ownership over it. (Haggai 2:

Therefore He can give it to whomsoever He desires and He has given it to all men in varying proportions.


👉Poverty isn't normal because God has originally gifted everybody wealth and riches.


Most people are poor today because of:

1. Ignorance.

2. Demonic oppression.

3. Lack of Anointing or power of God

4. Not using your God given talents.
