you grew up in the north. that statement tells me you must have lived in the south. are you comparing the amount of rainfall a southern town like Warri gets with a northern town like Maiduguri? that's why I said earlier "you have no idea how much damage rain can do to our roads". you don't. so try and travel more then you might understand what I am talking about.

oga I'm currently in the south, I'm currently in ogun state, and I travel around, my job requires I do so.... You can't have all this bad roads and blame it all on rainfall.... I served in Ekiti and it rained throughout my stay there, rain started around march and was still falling in December, they have good road network, even in remote villages, most of their roads are old but have good drainages and they are regularly maintained....
I'm in ogun now and I see all dis bad roads, u can't blame everything on rainfall sir...

you have no idea how much damage rain can cause to our roads. A shabbily built road in the North will last longer than a less shody one done inn the southern nigeria states for the same reason. Swap the weather for 5 years and I can assure you, none of the northern roads will last 2 rainy seasons.

I grew up in the North and we have our fair share of rainfall and even flooding , so u can't blame it up on rain, you construct roads without drainage, contractors use substandard materials, they don't do regular maintenance on your so called roads and you're blaming it on rain? Kai

See as north empty. Reminds me of my journey to so many northern states many years ago. Most part of the north is so empty, arid and large you just begin to wonder how these people became so power hungry and how they manage to have this born to rule mentality. Like you wonder where the hell they came from among those emptiness. Road travel is so much fun tho

u don't wonder why some states in North have better road infrastructures than some so called oil producing states in the south, especially south south, when I see some SS people complaining about other people stealing their oil money, I tell them to better hold their governors responsible, a state like jigawa should not be looking more advanced than bayelsa or delta...... U r right about the emptiness though... I still don't believe we are up to 200 million people in Nigeria.... U can travel for more than 3 hours in Niger state without seeing a significant village or town
