Goshen360, you seem to be bias when it comes to finances and the church. it appears that u think that all u see in the church;that is the pastor and the brethen is all there is. the power of God backs the church because its his body. you will gladly give ur money for an education that doesnt gurantee u success in life. u will pay a doctor to solve ur health issues at any cost to u without hesitation and yet u dispute the issue of paying ones tithe. are u a christian? doesnt ur very nature carry giving life attributes if u are born again?
no wonder jesus said "the poor u will always have with u"

my friend, i know that u are sincere in your question. now what i would say to your question will be, if for instance its a medical condition that has seemed to defy medical solution and u think u should go to another ministry other than yours for help u can do so BUT your pastor has to be a major part of that decision process. that is u must seek your pastors consent. ministries are gifted differently by God. for instance not every ministry is a healing ministry but its the same body of christ. such decision should be guided by your pastor.
