STARCH PRODUCTION FROM CASSAVA

starch is used as food in some part of the country while others use it for laundry
I remember when people will starch and iron their clothes and end up beaten by rain

Here are the procedures to follow

Peel the cassava tubers following the natural peel lines.

Rinse with cool water.

Cut into small pieces.

Blend in the blender using as little water as possible.

Separate the chaff from the cassava blend using the chiffon cloth. Rinse with clean water till all the starch has been washed off the chaff.

Leave the starch in the bowl for at least 3 hours so that the starch will settle at the bottom of the bowl. When settled, clear water will be seen at the top while the starch will be at the bottom of the bowl.

Decant the clear water and pour the watery starch into the muslin bag.

Tie up the muslin bag and leave on the sink tray for the remaining water to drain. This may take overnight to happen.

When the starch is all solid, it is ready to be used. Store in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Package your product and make cool cash

Good morning Fam

AgricultureMake Cool Cash From Cassava Peels by julietto(op): 6:36pm On Dec 03, 2018
CASSAVA PEELS

Do you know that cassava peel is very important in animal feeds especially goats, rams, cow etc

It's one of the agribusiness people hardly tap into
You can start today by formulating feed for farm animals and make cool cash from it

Procedure I learnt from IITA Ibadan

Get cassava peels (it's free in some area, but you can also get it for a token or from a cassava farmer, you don't need to own a farm)
sun dry it for sometime(until it dry properly) However, sun drying, ensiling and fermentation should be used to prevent HCN poisoning when feeding bitter cassava
take it to the mill and grind (it mustn't be smooth
Fry it on fire to make sure the water is properly dried
leave it to cool
add essential protein such as bone meal, Fish bone (you can get it very cheap, I think a kilo goes for 300,)soya beans or crayfish or any protein you can afford
mix with the properly
package it as you like
 make cool cash

Can one resign from his company?
He his the founder but not the only owner of the company any longer. A lot of investors own the company too.

So they can unsit him as the CEO or Chairman of the company.

With #2m investment into agribusiness
You can be a middle man,
Buy agric produce from a cheaper state and sell to state where the commodity is scarce

OR

Purchase or lease an acre of land depending on your location
Purchasing of land from 250-400k depending on the location
Leasing of land =10-20k depending on the location

You can venture into plantain farming which if properly done and monitored will have ROI 100%

Or you can try seasonal crops like

Maize, pepper, tomatoes

I won't advice cassava and cucumber cos it's very common now and the price is poor in the market

There is ready market for pepper, tomatoes and maize

You don't have to spend all the 2m
Start small and grow big
You need to study farming /agricbusiness properly
Good luck sir
