Agriculture / Agribusiness With Little Capital by julietto: 6:19pm On Jul 05, 2019 |
After my market research on few agribusiness you can tap into, we've been able to gather some information on produce that you can buy now, store and then resell during its peak period ••• PALM OIL - 25 litres of palm oil is between #6500-7500 currently, you can buy now and resell later at #10000-#15000 Palm oil doesn't get spoilt, make sure you place the gallon on a plank or wood, just be sure you don't place it on cemented ground. Please note, when buying the oil, go with your own gallon, I was told that most of those selling palm oil actually mix it with water, the water will be down and the palm oil, up, kindly go with your gallon and ask them to turn it to be sure of what you are buying . Agriculture / Re: Farming by julietto: 10:45am On Jun 01, 2019 |
Are you trying to say that the real farmers that don't have access to irrigation ain't professionals Since you understand this irrigation system so well How many people have you empowered with it [quotwe author=Planet3xi post=78916504] Its okay. Don't be like that. I don't have large farm but I sure know running irrigation isn't expensive and one needs to pyt this in place because the natural rainfall is not encouraging and insufficient for proper crop development. So you see? I don't need to have a large farm to know this. One can be a good researcher and have more intellectual tools than an actual practitioner many times.[/quote] |

Why allow people go through the same ordeal I went through, when I can warn them against the danger We learn from other people's mistake and not by making the same mistake, except you are one of those who does the scheme You and I know that agribusiness is not a get rich scheme Are you supporting the schemes too? Agriculture / Beware!!!!!!!! by julietto: 10:06am On Jun 01, 2019 |
Crowd funding for farmers? Hmmm! Beware of all those schemes that promise you sweet sweet returns in a short term. Wanna hear the truth? It is not the day you sow that you reap. It takes years to breakeven! It takes commitment and dedication. All those promising you sweet return after 3 or 6 months ehen I always laugh and shake my head when I read such. I have had friends asking me to help them do due diligence on such cases. I always advise them against such. The truth is considering the Nigerian farming business a lot of things are against you. Let us put government aside for a second. You are into large scale cassava productions for example, you have a lot of issues to deal with. From fulani herdsmens wahala to villagers invading your farm like they did to mine, to the high cost of agriculture insurance etc... Imagine having investing people's money into such venture and something terrible happens. What will you tell your investors? Do they really care about stories? No! You have to refund their money. It is as simple as that. Before you ask people to invest in your business you must have grown to a certain level. The Agric business here is a very complex one. You have to put a lot of factors into consideration. And most importantly, you have to be very very open with investors. Let them know what they are getting into, let them know the pros and cons in the farming business in Nigeria. Inshort let them understand the cons more. It is wrong to sweet talk them into catchy investment just because you need the money. Agriculture is a 50/50 venture! I always advise beginners in the farming business never to start up with people's money. Start up with your own capital, make all the mistakes with your own money, grow to a certain level you are confident in before asking people to invest in your Agric business. Always put the Nigerian factor into consideration o. Don't say because 'they' said plantain farming is very profitable so you ask people to invest their money to cultivate plantain only for things to go badly at the end because of so many factors you did not foresee. I always use myself as an example. The few people who have invested in my agric business are aware of the pros and cons. It is written in our agreement. That doesn't in any way excuse me from my duty of care and it isn't in anyway justifying negligence on my part. The truth is you need huge capital for investment and that comes in through loans and investment from other people but only take such when you have done your home work with your own money. When you have made mistakes with your own money and learnt from it. Do not make mistakes with investors money. It will bite you really hard in the yansh. It will make you appear like a fraud even if you are not. And to investors, you have to understand what you are putting your money into. If it looks too good to be true, trust me it is usually not worth it. Hmnnnnnnn I learnt expensively I am still paying for it So it's easy to smell an agric venture that will fail from a far distance Farming is not by apps Farming is not let me farm for you So many challenges Unforseen circumstances 1 Like |

Politics / We Did Not Block Imo State Account- EFCC by julietto: 7:28pm On May 24, 2019 |
According to an article Published by Thecable about an interview with Rochas Okorocha, governor of Imo state, where he disclosed that EFCC is investigating N500million and has made them close down the account of Imo state for the past three months and no activity is going on in the state and he thinks that is not good to a state that has performed and upgraded the name of APC. However on the other hand the EFCC have debunked the claim, that they closed down the IMO State account. The EFCC further disclosed that on the eve of the rescheduled March 9, 2019 governorship election in the state, the EFCC got intelligence that part of the Paris Club refund to the state was about to be used for purpose of vote buying and other sundry fraud. In which the EFCC disclosed they swung into action and succeeded in blocking withdrawal of the said fund, as well as trace the usage of N500million which had been withdrawn in cash, out of which N77million was recovered. In the process of securing the funds, a freezing order was sought and obtained from a court of competent jurisdiction. So far, investigation is still ongoing with regards to the destinations of the funds. The EFCC have disclosed, that they did not and has not blocked the Federal Account Allocation Committee Account (FAAC) nor the Joint Local Government Account (JAAC) which form the bulk of the state’s statutory allocation and expenditure.
