Family › Re: Why Do Some Parents Insult Their Children? by juman(m): 4:46am On Nov 04, 2012
Rukemi291: It baffles me that a parent can actually stoop so low as to curse his/her children, no matter the level of anger.

I was in my neighbour's house some weeks back and d teenage son did something so flimsy (to me), to my greatest surprise, the father from his end shouted 'oriedaru ni? (are u crazy?)' and the mum from her own end said 'orien fa eponi? (is your head siphoning petrol?)'.

I was shocked but couldn't mutter a word.

A lot of parents do this and i think it's so wrong. Don't these kind of things affect children psychologically?
The parents did nothing wrong.

I am watching OKINNI.

"A spoilt brat who lacks home training, intimidates everyone she comes across with her wealth. Labake (Aishat Raji) respects no other person than her parents.
She suddenly changed her ways to a descent person when she met and fell in love with Demola (Eniola Olaniyan).
Unknown to her, Demola was preparing her for another man."

It's obvious that going for civil war by nigeria was a crazy decision.

What a mess of a country we have today!
Politics › Re: Major General Mohammed Shuwa Shot Dead, By Gun Men! by juman(m): 10:34am On Nov 03, 2012
The civil war was hypocrisy of highest order.

When they knew that they could not build a functioning country, why did they stop Biafra people from breaking away??

I really wonder.
Politics › Re: Major General Mohammed Shuwa Shot Dead, By Gun Men! by juman(m): 10:10am On Nov 03, 2012
What an irony of life.

Those that stopped nigeria from been divided are those destroying the same nigeria.

Sports › Re: I Expect At Least 36 Medals From Next Olympic - Jonathan by juman(m):
“Every state has some level of comparative advantage in one form of sports or the order and if every state will promise Nigerians that we will give you a medal in this area and another medal in this area that means we are expecting 36 medals.

“Out of these 36 medals, at least five will be gold. I also believe that the private sector will play a key role. We know that in some countries, the private sector plays some key roles in sporting activities and not just trading or manufacturing sporting wares.”
How will this happen? With cooperation of lazy state governors? I laughed. grin

I remember during the time of OBJ first term as president, he said during one of the media chat that when he came in as president he told the governors to adhere to a crop per state and plant it extensively, and the state will be known with that name of the crop. But the governors didn't listen to his advise, because they always got free oil money.

Nigeria is a derailed country.

Education › Re: Senate Committee On Education Rates OSUN As The BEST In Nigeria by juman(m): 4:20pm On Oct 29, 2012
lazbay: I live in Osun state. I don't know what ds committee saw dat led to ds award. Maybe what Aregbe wrote on paper as his education policy but which he is yet to implement in almost 2 years. The only thing happening in d education sector is d builiding of a new block of classrooms at Alekuwodo in Osogbo & d only one completed. There have been massive destruction of classrooms all over d state without any hope of being rebuilt. As a result many students are cramped or holed up in classrooms thereby making learning almost impossible. because when u have Pry 1-3 in d same classroom what do u expect. Infact my community fiercely rejected d demolition in our school. We said build urs first b4 demolishing d ones on ground. I'm yet to understand how ds calls for an award o. Also the promise of giving tablets or laptop to every pupil in osun state has remain a mere promise for almost 2 years. I really don't understand d basis for d award.
Hmmmm!
Education › Re: Senate Committee On Education Rates OSUN As The BEST In Nigeria by juman(m): 6:17am On Oct 29, 2012
Could somebody explain the kind of education in osun state they are talking about and the difference with the mainstream nigeria educational system?

Sunchris: Yea, Osun governor tries. He solidly establishd free education with complete proivision of computers, books and educatn accessaries, even rehabilitated all old structures in Osun Schools.

But then, Osun is the state with highest number of unserious students in the world. They are poor accademmically.
Ok, Ok.
