@Beaf

The whole thing is beginning to sound foolish and despesrate. When did governors start challenging the FG to debates, I have lost the respect I had for Fashola. Let him continue with the small minded ACN's thinly veiled ethnic staunts. The only thing left for him to declare as a bigot is call GEJ ***chukwu, we all know it sounds like an Igbo name and signifies hatred of Igbo's; so best to paint GEJ as an Igbo. Shame on ACN, the new Ciroma's of the South
The new name here (Nairaland) people call President Jonathan is ODECHUKWU.  Check other thread.

The ripples created by Mr. President statement will go away after some time.

SW PDP is troubling Mr. President too much about getting Lagos, Mr. Obasanjo and co. should take it easy.

Lagos is for ACN.

Even during the time of troubling ruling of Obasanjo, PDP couldn't get Lagos (even with their usual wuru wuru way of doing things).

It's very difficult to uproot PDP from our lives, but surely the country will certainly and definitely break up. Unless there is real change in governance from PDP.

Useless party and people in power for 12 years and absolutely nothing to show for it.

PDP has already wasted 12 out of 50 years of Nigeria since independence.

Do they think that they can continue enslaving us forever?? Definitely NO.

Because SW people see him as one of their own.

1,GEJ stabilized the prices of fuel and other Pet. products within one month or so in office( which some the cabal hijacked and monopolized during Yar'dua's regime)

2,Nigeria's Crude oil export quota by OPEC optimized and became stable( after the Niger Delta crises brought it down)

3,Electricity generation ( Megawatt) improved( more that 4000 now).

4,Nigerian foreign policies are now being taken seriously my both Nigerian and foreign Countries.

These are major areas of achievements ok, my ignorant friend,so thank me because you have learnt a new thing today.
But the foreign reserve is disappearing.

For God shake do you think the country is heading to right direction?
Are you happy that Nigeria is not a country to be proud of?
Don't you see that you are defending those people that are enemy of the masses?
Don't you see that invariably you are also our(masses) enemy?
Don't you see that the only way out of this mess is to break up this otiose country?
Politics › Re: ACN Lied On Alliance Talks by juman(m): 1:10pm On Feb 06, 2011
“Nobody can doubt the fact that the ACN was in the grip of Tinubu. He does whatever he wants with it. It will be too dangerous for Buhari to leave the CPC he and others founded to contest on the platform of ACN,” he said.

Mr Fasahkin explained that the CPC was already gaining ground in the country, particularly in the northern part, adding that it would be irresponsible to change to another platform since its faithful would find it difficult to adjust to the change.
ACN wanted the two parties to come together and General Buhari to run on that platform. But General Buhari insisted to run on the platform of CPC.

Even it was stated that most of the ACN governors insisted that the party should not make the mistake made by AD (alliance for democracy) in 2003 by not presenting any presidential candidate and lost 5 states to PDP.  Hence ACN didn't agree with General Buhari to run on the platform of CPC only unless the two parties come together. But he refused.

ACN had presidential candidate in 2007 election and won 2 more states (Osun and Ekiti).

Tribune with their usual liesss.

But some politically observant persons were said to have alerted Ribadu and other leaders of the party to the need to bring up a running mate before the expiration of the January 31 date by INEC.
So ACN has to be reminded of expiration date before knowing what suppose to do?? Lies, lies and lies.
Politics › Re: Bakare: What I Won’t Take As Buhari’s VP by juman(m): 7:47pm On Feb 05, 2011
An ideology is a set of ideas that constitutes one's goals, expectations, and actions. An ideology can be thought of as a comprehensive vision, as a way of looking at things (compare worldview), as in common sense (see Ideology in everyday society below) and several philosophical tendencies (see Political ideologies), or a set of ideas proposed by the dominant class of a society to all members of this society (a "received consciousness" or product of socialization). The main purpose behind an ideology is to offer either change in society, or adherence to a set of ideals where conformity already exists, through a normative thought process. Ideologies are systems of abstract thought applied to public matters and thus make this concept central to politics. Implicitly every political tendency entails an ideology whether or not it is propounded as an explicit system of thought. It is how society sees things.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideology
So Pastor Bakare ideology is:

The purpose of government is the welfare of the people of the country. That is the priority of government. That people’s needs are met; that we ensure there is security. That is the ideology of the hour. With all the billions voted for security, we see the insecurity in our land. That must stop. Corruption must not continue to eat into the fabric of our nation. The central ideology is that Nigeria must be saved. It must be changed and become great in our lifetime and the people of this country must not continue to suffer in the midst of plenty. Whatever policies, whatever programme we are putting in place would be articulated in our contract with Nigeria so that they know that it is not about us; it is not about title; it is not about popularity but the people of this country.
But, certainly CPC will lose the election without any doubt.
